4 Days Before the Party

Fredbear's Family Diner. That was where the party would be held. Evan knew this was going to happen but he hoped it would be at home or somewhere else instead. Every birthday of the Afton children was held at Fredbear's, and it was fine for Evan at first, but some time after his eighth birthday, he started to fear the animatronics. He feared Fredbear and Spring Bonnie the most because he saw them eat people as he has told. It did not help that Michael and his friends would sometimes jumpscare him using masks of the animatronics that his dad and uncle Henry made. The fact that Michael and his friends did not start with their antics in a long while was fine for the young boy, but they started targeting him again the previous day, and he knew from experience that the teenagers would not stop until their parents get involved.

Evan wanted to tell his mother but it would come down to a case of it being two versus one since William would not care and Michael would always bribe Elizabeth with candy to keep her quiet and on his side. If it kept Michael out of trouble for bullying his brother, he would even go as far as to exploit his little sister.

Regardless, the nine year old boy was in for quite a week. But what he was not expecting was to hear scratching on the door during the night. When he got out of bed, he looked around before hearing something crying on his bed. Small nightmarish versions of Freddy Fazbear on his bed. The boy got scared before a large nightmarish version of Freddy creeped up from behind him and grabbed him, roaring at the boy who started screaming and crying before his eyes opened.

Young Evan was confused before seeing daylight creeping into his room. He looked around and saw his plushies on the floor near his toy chest. He looked around on his body and saw that he was perfectly fine, albeit for the sweating and heavy breathing. He looked at the clock and saw that he woke up before his alarm was supposed to go off. A wave of relief washed over the boy before he grabbed his things and left the room. Elizabeth and Michael weren't up yet so he took his chance to go to the bathroom and wash up. When he was done, he was dressed in his favorite clothes before walking back to his room to get his backpack.

When he did so, he heard Psychic Friend Fredbear talk to him right after cackles were heard echoing throughout the house. "You know he is hiding again," the plushie told the boy who got scared. "He won't stop until you find him." Evan grabbed the plushie looked around his room. He searched behind the curtains, under the bed and in his closet, no sign of Michael.

The boy timidly stepped out of his room and looked around the hallway and checked the grandfather clock, nobody hiding behind it. The cackles grew louder as he approached the television that was playing the Fredbear and Friends cartoon. The young boy carefully approached the tv and got jumpscared by Michael wearing his Foxy mask. What was seen by anybody else and Evan were two different things, the Foxy he saw was nightmarish like Freddy was in his dream.

Immediately, the boy shrieked and dropped to the floor, curling up in a ball before he started crying while hugging Psychic Friend Fredbear. The plushie simply told him, "Tomorrow is another day."

While Michael laughed at his brother, he casually left the living room and went to the bathroom as the door could be heard, Elizabeth must have been the second to use it. While he left, the boy struggled to to collect himself before his sister walked into the room on her way to the kitchen. Evan crying was nothing new to her so she paid no mind to him as she went to wait for breakfast which was waiting there for her as William was drinking coffee and reading the newspaper.

"Good morning, Daddy!" Elizabeth greeted her father before hugging him. The businessman looked down from his newspaper and looked at his smiling daughter before ruffling her hair, "Good morning, Elizabeth. How did you sleep?"

"I slept like a baby, Daddy."

"Well you still are one."

"No I'm not. I'm a big girl. Evan's the baby, he was crying again in the living room. Upon hearing that, William groaned and pinched the bridge of his nose before muttering Michael's name like it was the plague. "Well, Elizabeth, you'll always be my baby girl. No matter how much you grow up."

The young girl simply smiled before she saw the drawing she made on the fridge. She looked at it with awe before William noticed and said, "I loved the drawing you gave to me, dear. That idea you gave me, I'll be sure to make it come to life. One day, you'll see her and Spring Bonnie singing for children on the stage at Fredbear's, or possibly at Freddy's."

The girl squealed on excitement before she went to her seat to eat her breakfast. Some time later, Michael came into the kitchen and made himself a bowl of cereal before William said, "Michael, your mother went to work early so I want you to take your sibling to school, she'll pick them up in the afternoon, but I want you at Fredbear's after you're done with school. We're short on staff today and I thought it would be a good idea to have you work there. Hopefully then you'll learn not to make children cry." William said, aggressively with his last sentence.

The eldest Afton child groaned before saying, "Can my friends at least come with me?"

"Sure, the more workers the better. Unless you'd like to do everything on your own. Just remember, I'll be waiting, so don't be late. We got a child's birthday party happening today, and I'd hate for him to be disappointed because things were not going great for his party."

Micheal was seething but knew he could do nothing about it. All the teenager wished for now was for graduation and his eighteenth birthday to come soon so he would not have to put up with his father.

"Thank you for being so understanding, Michael." William said with a smirk before he finished drinking his coffee. "Think of it as punishment for bullying your little brother."

Michael's face turned red as he glared at his father before Evan walked into the kitchen, causing the eldest sibling to turn his anger from his father to his little brother. Evan recognized the look on Michael's face, it was the face that said "This isn't over."
