chapter three- level two

We all attacked the monsters, working together as one. Before we knew it, level one had been completed, even though though it took us thirty minutes to do it. I knew that the every level would get longer, and even more difficult but I had confidence now that I had friends to help me. For level two you had to swing across ropes while monkeys dropped bananas on your head. I figured that it would take a lot of upper body strength to complete this so I was glad that I did a lot of rock climbing.
"Are you ready to do this?" Clisse asked me on our way to level two.
"What choice have I got?" I laughed.
"You can do this, just stay focused." Elena said encouragingly.
"Ok, thanks for the tip!" I smiled. Ding! The belle sounded signaling the start of level two. I grabbed a rope and started swinging across a bunch of different ropes. That's when the monkeys came, dropping bananas on my my head while I tried to avoid them. Suddenly a big old monkey dropped a humongous banana on my head, causing me to lose my grip and fall off the rope, meaning that I would have to start level two over again. I fell into a pile of bananas then felt a big rush of air pull me and everyone else back to the beginning of level two once more. I had lost one life. The giant number screen in front of me changed from a 10 into a 9. That's when I realized that my freedom was on the line. The most important thing I could do was not lose lives. I had a plan. I wasn't going to start swinging again just yet.
"Who here is the strongest?" I asked. Everyone looked at Michael.
"Don't look at me. I'm not the strongest." Michael laughed. "If you look at Elenas main skill set, you'll see that she is the strongest.
"Skill set? What do you mean?" I questioned, confused.
"Everyone here has a primary skill, and a secondary skill. Elena is strong and best with the sword. Dalina and Calina throw metal balls really well and can jump really high. I can breathe fire and I am good with accuracy when shooting a bow." Michael explained.
"You guys have skills?! Do I have skills? I asked, mad at Lancara for not telling me any of this.
"The only skills you have are the ones you already acquire as a human."
"Well that sucks." I sighed.
"You asked who was the strongest? Is there something you need me to do?" Asked Elena.
"Actually yes, I have an idea that will help us get through the level better. The four of us can pair up in twos and take turns swinging the other person to the next vine. If someone slips, the other person save them by keeping hold of their hand. Elena, since you are the strongest, you'll be good by yourself I hope."
"That's an excellent idea!" Elena smiled happily. Dalina and Calina declared that they were paring up which left me and Michael to pair up. When I grabbed his hand, I was happy to discover that it did not feel digital. Then once again, we started to swing. Except this time we had more stability and we were actually working together. The monkeys kept taunting us with more and more bananas being dropped at us. After a few swings, Michel swung me towards a big vine but just then a monkey threw a banana right at my hand making my efforts to grab onto the vine pointless. For a second, I was scared I was going to lose another live and have to start again. But Michael kept a strong hold on my hand and swung me once again towards the vine. This time I succeeded in grabbing it. After a few more minutes of swinging, we finally completed level two.
