My mom sat down on my bed and gave me a hug.
"Good night Karia," she said, saying my name softly.
"Good night Mom," I smiled.
"I can't believe your already sixteen years old." My mom said sadly. Then she got up and left, closing the door quietly behind her. I tried to close my tired of eyes, but couldn't. There was this video game that I decided I needed to play. I had to finish the level that I'd been working on for a week now! I turned on the tv in my room and quickly turned down the volume. The level I was working on was already up so I started playing, hoping I would be able to finish in an hour to the most. Just then, a loud boom thundered through the room and I felt myself floating into something. I looked around and saw that I was floating through something dark. Then a big blast sent me into a grassy field. I had no idea where I was and I was more scared then I'd ever been in my life!
"Welcome to level one," I suddenly heard a voice say. I looked around to see who was talking and saw a beautifully dressed women walking towards me.
"Where am I?" I shouted angrily.
"You are inside your video game." The women smiled. "My name is Lancara. You have been pulled into this video game to try to complete it. If you complete the video game, you will be able to leave, but if you don't, you will stay in here forever."
"I didn't want to be pulled in here! Why did you?" I asked Lancara angrily.
"We know that people can complete this game with a controller, but we want to know if people can complete this game in real life to." Lancara calmly said. "Now I must go! You have ten lives and ten levels! Go!" Then Lancara vanished.
"No!" I screamed. "I don't want to do this!" I burst into tears and and fell on my knees shouting angry words at no one in particular.
That's one I heard a loud voice say, "level one is starting." I remembered that in level one I had to battle some sort of zombie-like creatures. I felt my clothes transform into a blue, metal suit and I suddenly felt more confident then I'd ever felt before. That's when I saw it, around ten of the monsters slowly walking towards me. I was ready for level one to finally begin!
