~ Story 1 ~

"Five! Where are you!?" Five winces and moves his head away from his phone as Klaus screeches through the speaker.

"Calm the fuck down. I'm just around the corner!" Five walks around the corner of the block to see a panicked Klaus looking around the various stores.

"OMG THANK YOU FOR HELPING ME!"

Not like I had any choice.

"Yeah... Now what am I doing here?"

"I need to buy a gift for Dave for Valentines and I don't know what to get him!" Klaus whines out and Five facepalms.

"There are so many different stores here. Just get something generic." Five roll his eyes and Klaus glares at him.

"I'm not going to be lazy when showering my love with love!" Klaus goes off on a lecture about how his gift needs to be special as Five just silently follows behind him. "Please don't tell me that's what you're doing for (y/n)!" Five freezes up at the notion, frows burrowed.

"Uh..."

"Wait, were you even going to get her a gift at all!?" Klaus gasps in shock. "I knew you were an ass but I didn't think you would be one to (y/n)! You better be treating her right Five or I swear to god-"

"-jesus fuck Klaus! I just-uh she's not one for gifts-I mean she doesn't really care. She told me valentines is just a marketing scheme-" Five shuts up as Klaus glares at him, a sudden eery feeling crawling down his spine. "-I'll get her a gift..." Five whispers out and Klaus nods.

"Good." Five follows Klaus again, trying to figure out what he should get you.

Should I get her a large bouquet?

Chocolate?

What about teddy bears?

Fuck! She's not going to like any of those!

"Klaus..." Five mumbles out and the tall lanky man turns around to see his physically younger brother in a full-blown panic. "Help me!"

You yawned out as you walked into the Hargreeves house, lugging bags of groceries after your gruelling journey of trying to avoid people shoving valentines products in your face. "Damn marketing ploys." You sigh out, shrugging off your coat as you call out into the house to realise it was empty.

Not surprised. Bet all the siblings are out on their dates...

You shrug and put the bags in the kitchen before heading to your room to change into shorts and a hoodie. You just wanted to relax today with Five but he didn't seem to be anywhere.

Where is he?

You frown, feeling already lonely as it is without your friends rubbing in your face the gifts their boyfriends got them. You stalk towards the living room to just binge watch chick flick movies when you freeze by the doorway.

The whole living room was decorated with different coloured flowers, soft fairy lights hanging from the ceiling like fireflies and tinsel hung around what seemed to be a large pillow fort. There were electric candles around the dark living room, lighting up the rose petals sprinkled on the floor.

"Holy shit..." You gasp out, eyes pinned on the giant teddyzilla sitting in the corner of the room. It was almost triple your size and you ran straight for the giant plushy. "WEEEEEE!" you squealed out, jumping on the teddy and hugging it tightly.

"I knew you would go for the big ass teddy bear." You turned around and saw Five snickering in his hands as you snuggled up against the bear. "Wow, do you really love that bear much more than me?" Five playfully pouts and you jump up, running for his arms.

"Nah, it's not as cuddly as you." You giggled, causing Five to blush red. "I still can't believe you did this! It's beautiful but how much did you spend?" You lean back, amazed but also worried about how much cash was wasted.

"I ain't telling you." Five grinned cheekily and you roll your eyes playfully. "Plus I wanted to do this for you." You squeal in surprise as Five picks you up and sets you down in the giant pillow fort that was filled with pillows and blankets.

"You didn't have to you know." You mumble out as Five slipped under the blankets with you, brushing your hair back. "I didn't get you anything." You frown and Five pulled you to his chest, wrapping his arms around your waist to hug you.

"You don't need to get me anything. Having you is enough." You smile against Five's shirt as he kissed your forehead, pulling your leg over his waist to hold you as close as possible.

"You're so cheesy but I love you so much Five. Thank you." Five leans back and smiles down at you lovingly, pulling your head up to kiss you.

"I love you too (y/n)." Five sighs into the kiss, slowly pushing you on your back to deepen the kiss. Five caresses your cheek softly, his hand holding your bare hip beneath your hoodie.

"Maybe I can give you something instead." Five gasps in surprise as you suddenly push him on his back, straddling his waist and tugging your hoodie off.

~ Story 2 ~

Five walked down the pathway silently, hands stuffed in his pockets as he watched in distaste at how every single person had their heads flipped to buy lovey-dovey products. It was like this every time February hit, shops already selling valentines things weeks before the actual day. He sighed as he avoided people shoving chocolates in his face while his eyes burned from the red and pink flowers.

"Why are they everywhere!?" Five grumbled out, just trying to get to the library without being bombarded by marketing ploys and the lovey-dovey couple. "It had to be February." Five sighs, finally reaching the library to find a girl standing by the front steps and handing a single rose to single people walking by. Five watched in confusion as to why she would do this but notices they very happy expressions on their faces. "Ok?" Five shrugs, walking past the girl when he feels someone tug on his shirt.

"Here." the flower girl hands Five a midnight blue rose before skipping down the stairs and walking off. Five looks down at the brightly coloured rose, smiling faintly and playing with petals gently before shaking his head and walking into the library.

Five heads to the library every day to not only get peace and quiet away from his annoying family but to also hopefully see the flower girl. He was intrigued as to why she had given him a midnight blue rose and not the classic red, white or pink. The second time he went to the library, he was surprised to find the girl standing there and passing roses away again.

"Hey!" She called out to Five, passing him another midnight blue rose with a big smile. She walked away again before Five could say anything.

The third time, Five had found the girl running up to people to pass them flowers instead of her just standing by the library steps. They were very grateful to her and thanked her.

"You're back!" the flower girl beamed before passing Five her last flower which was as always, a midnight blue rose. "Have a great day!" Five blinked in confusion as the girl ran off again but couldn't help the warm feeling bubble up in his chest knowing the girl saved her only midnight blue rose for him.

Five had kept all the flowers this mysterious girl gave him in a vase, settled on his table beside his bed as the days inched closer to valentines. He would glance at the vivid and beautiful roses before he slept, wandering about this girl as his heart raced unexpectantly.

"Who is she?" Five played with the petals, coming up with a plan. It was a day before valentines and Five carefully held the bud of a crystal rose in a box in his hand with a note tied attached to the box. Five arrived earlier than usual, waiting for the flower girl instead in front of the library steps. Five waited anxiously, his heart racing when he finally saw her.

"Oh! You're here early!" the flower girl beamed at Five and he blushed.

"H-here." Five quickly passed the box in the girl's hand, running off before she could give him his blue rose.

I hope she comes tomorrow.

Five waited anxiously in front of the steps of the library, holding a large bouquet of flowers in his hands. He shifted his weight from foot to foot in embarrassment as couples walked by and awing at how he was waiting for someone on valentines.

Maybe she's not coming today...

Five frowned, staring at the unique flowers he had spent days looking for. "I hope you didn't wait too long." Five eagerly looks up with wide eyes, seeing the flower girl in a beautiful dress as the street fairy lights suddenly turned on behind her when the sun started to set for the night.

"N-no, I just got here." Five blushed darkly as the flower girl beamed at him, his heart melting from her smile. "I got you this." Five passed the bouquet towards the girl, watching as her eyes widen in awe.

"How did you get these? They are so rare!" Five grins as the flower girl marvels over the black roses and the true black blood roses. "These are beautiful."

"Not as beautiful as you." Five flushes red when he realised he had said that out loud as the girl giggles behind the flowers.

"Do you know what these roses mean?" Five shakes his head but he secretly knew since he did some research to impress the girl in front of him. "People think black roses mean negative things like death but they also mean something in a positive way. They can mean the beginning of something new..." The girl flushes red as Five leans forward to brush her hair behind her ears.

"So does that include us?" Five grins from the sudden courage as the girl blushes darker, nodding softly. Five holds out his arm for the girl to hold, leading her down the steps to a valentines night he had planned for her. "My name is Five. I never caught your name."

"I'm (y/n)."

"So the flower girl does have a name." Five grins, before asking the one question that has been on his mind for ages now. "How come you gave me a blue rose?"

"Would you believe me if I said it was because it matched your blazer?" (y/n) chuckled softly as Five rolled his eyes playfully. "When I first saw you, I thought you were mysterious. Giving someone a blue rose means that you're saying they are extraordinarily wonderful and unique."

"So you thought I was wonderful and unique?" Five smirks at the red flushed girl as she nods. "Well, I think you're extraordinarily wonderful and unique too (y/n)."
