Feeling anxious was an understatement as (y/n) stood against a pillar in her suit, fiddling with her gloves as she bowed her head to have her face hidden beneath her hat. From a distance, she could pass an antisocial male and that was what she was hoping for, that no one tries to speak to her. She was only here at the opening of the Hagreeves Spring Ball to keep an eye on her little sister and on Five. They were speaking together under one of the many floral tents, (y/n) grabbing some whiskey from the server that walked past her.

"She looks to be having fun..." (y/n) sighs out, thinking that she would better retire to her room instead.

"(y/n)!" the Viscountess looks up when her name was being called, seeing her sister wave for her with a grin on her face. (y/n) looked at Five who stared at her too, a soft look in his eyes. The Viscount thought the oldest sister looked lovely in her attire but noticed how frigid she was amongst the people, worried about her being in a frantic state. (y/n) begrudgingly walked over, downing her drink and grabbing another which made (s/n) not happy.

"Yeah (s/n)?"

"You're drinking again."

"I never stopped sister." this made (s/n) frown deeper and Five wondered what was up between the sisters. "Ok, ok." (y/n) finished her drink and sets the glass down, refusing a drink from a passing waiter. "Now, you called for me? I was about to go read."

"I barely see you nowadays. Do you really hate my presence that much?" (s/n) chuckles as (y/n) snorts lightly.

"Yes. You're a nuisance." (y/n) says sarcastically with a smile as she leans against the tent pole with her arms crossed.

"Viscountess (y/n)." Five had stood up to greet the older sister, her looking at him briefly.

"Sir Hargreeves." Five grinds his jaw as (y/n) purposely spoke his name with a lower class title, her smirking at his reaction before they both sat down on a chair.

"My sister has this knack for large grounds of land, she's fascinated by exploring and being lost in the world about her." (s/n) suddenly says and her older sister looks at her with shock.

"Is that so?"

"She loves exploring large houses. She was gone for hours just exploring your mansion when we first arrived." Five smirks at (y/n) who sputters in embarrassment.

"You don't suppose she enjoys forest walks?"

"Oh yes! Mostly the night walks she takes around the garden when she thinks I am asleep."

"(s/n)!"

"I was hoping maybe you could give her a tour of your magnificent land Viscount Hargreeves." (s/n) says, hoping to get her sister and the Viscount to be on better terms. "While I converse with the ladies here today."

"I think he might be busy with his guests (s/n). Plus I got something I need to do." (y/n) felt irritation itching at her skin, wanting to shriek out but she was forced to keep a calm composure as she stood up to leave. "(s/n), have fun here today but stay safe ok. I'll join you once I complete my work." the younger sibling sighs in disappointment as her older sister leans over to hug her before walking away from the party and towards the house.

"Always an antisocial that one."

"She may be your older sister but it is almost as if you mother her." Five chuckles lightly but quickly quietens when he notices the tight smile on (s/n)'s face.

"Nowhere close to how much (y/n) has cared for me and protected me." Five wondered what she meant as (s/n) walked off to talk to her friends after bidding him adieu, the Viscount taking this as a cue to mingle with the guests. Some time had gone and the men all decided to go hunting, the crew walking through the forest with their shotguns around their chest.

"Have you seen the (L/n) sisters?"

"Which one, the older or younger?" Five kept his eyes straight as he heard the men talk to one another.

"The oldest one. I heard she's as beautiful as her sibling."

"I have to agree, I just caught a glimpse of her before she left the party and in a ravishing suit indeed." Five growled lowly, clutching his shotgun tightly.

"A lady wearing a suit? That is something I have never heard of."

"Better than the frilly dresses most of the ladies wear. She has this aura around her."

"Dominating?"

"Shush but yes. A worthy conquest if someone manages to tame her both in public and in bed." Five quickly whipped his body around as he held his shotgun at the group of men that spoke ill of (y/n), his finger ready at the trigger.

"Viscount Hargreeves!"

I could just shoot him and say it was an accident.

Too many witnesses...

"I apologise, I thought I heard something." The men cowered from Five but nodded before he stormed off away from the group to cool down. "How dare they!" He had wandered into the forest, grumbling beneath his breath until he heard a noise in the distance. Five quickly held his shotgun to come face to face with (y/n) who had her arms crossed with her own shotgun on her back.

"What, following me around now?" (y/n) sighs out, ruffling her hair that was now free from it being pinned beneath her hat that was also now gone. Five noticed that she had changed from her elegant suit into a dark blue skirt and blouse, a lovely attire on her that made her seem almost like a dreamlike maiden.

"I am not following you around. I am with my men for our hunt."

"Animals?"

"Yes." (y/n) sounded appalled.

"You're killing wildlife?" Five knew not to answer that.

"And what of you, I see you have your own shotgun."

"I don't kill animals. I need a space to let off some steam."

"Well, this is certainly not the open space you need." Five looked around the tight cluster of trees around then, walking over to (y/n) to help her over a stump that was in her way.

"I know that." She simply walked over, ignoring Five's hand as she held her skirt. Five gulped from the glance of legs that he saw, clearing his throat before following after (y/n) again. "I was simply walking to gain a cool attitude."

"After your sister embarrassed you?" (y/n) kept quiet and Five grins knowing he won this little spat between them. The two were quiet for a moment, simply walking through the forest before the Viscount broke the silence again. "How is your father?"

(y/n) was hit with surprise that her father was mentioned, a stumble in her step which she quickly tried to hide but Five noticed it before she could. "He's fine."

"I thought he was sick."

"He's fine now. He has sent me letters that he has recovered."

"That's wonderful. Maybe he could come join us-"

"-he's travelling at the moment so I'm not sure if he can." (y/n) cut Five off.

"So suddenly after he only just recovered?"

"Yeah... He has a hard time sitting still, unfortunately."

"And he is ok with you both being away from home alone?"

"He always believed that my sister and I needed to learn independence. Even if it was a much too of a young age..." Five caught (y/n) whisper the last sentence and he wondered what she meant by that, his gaze looking at the gun that was strapped around her.

"Your shotgun, it belongs to your father?" he noticed the initials carved into the wood.

"It does yes. He was the one that taught me to shoot." Before Five could say anything, (y/n) walked off away from him, going through foilage that smacked him in the face. He managed to catch up to her, seeing her kneel behind a stump as she aimed her gun at tree branches.

"It'll mean little if you hold your gun that way." Five kneels behind (y/n), aiming to fix her posture.

"I know how to hold a gun." (y/n) snaps.

"Evidently not the British way." Five says. "You have to-"

"-I don't need your help."

"Just let me." Five suddenly grabs (y/n)'s elbow and her wrist, lifting her arm and positioning the gun closer to her. (y/n) was acutely aware of Five pressing into her back, his arm over hers as his fingers held her own that were placed at the trigger. Five breathes in the lovely lily scent, his head lowering to follow it to (y/n)'s neck as her hair was draped over one shoulder.

(y/n) breathes out shakily as her heart raced, feeling Five's breath fan her cheek and her body heat up from how close he was to her. Five was consumed with the feeling of (y/n) being so close to him, the heat fanning his urge to be so much closer to her.

"(y/n)..." Five whispers and she sucks in her breath from his low voice, his lips pressing against her bare shoulder. Five didn't know what overcame him to kiss her shoulder, revelling in the sweet taste and the lovely sound of a gasp that escaped the girl in his arms. (y/n) slowly closed her eyes from the feeling of Five kissing her shoulder, losing herself in his touch as one of his hands run down her arm to hold her waist.

"Five..." (y/n)'s breath hitches as he kisses her neck, whimpering out the Viscount's name again as he kisses a certain spot that has her melting in his arms completely.

Five groans lightly from the whimper he received, his hand on (y/n)'s waist gripping her hip tightly as she tilted her head more for him. He wanted more of her, more of her taste, more of her sounds. The gun falls from (y/n)'s grasp as Five held her trigger hand in his, entwining their fingers together as the other brushes against the bare skin beneath her blouse.

Before Five could nip at (y/n)'s neck, he heard yells from men further into the distance and (y/n) quickly broke free from him. She held her neck in shock at her actions, panting lightly as she turned to look at Five and he moved to stop her when she stood up.

"I-I... I need to go." (y/n) rushes away with her red cheeks and her heart hammering in her chest as Five was stopped from going after her when his men found him. He frowned, wondering what was going to happen now between them, mindlessly touching his lips and remembering how sweet (y/n) tasted. She drove him mad and he couldn't get enough.

"(Y/n)! How was your practice?" the Viscountess jumps as she runs into her room after closing the door, seeing her sister sitting on her bed.

"You scared me!" the younger girl laughs lightly.

"So...?"

"It was fine."

"Did you see the men and Viscount Hargreeves?"

"I did yeah."

"Please tell me you two are warming up." (y/n) sets her gun down, going to grab some clothes to change into for the night.

"Who?"

"The Viscount Hargreeves!" (y/n) freezes, her mind wandering back to the forest.

"You could say that..."

"Wonderful! You must keep doing what you are doing at the ball tomorrow night!" before (y/n) could say anything, her sister bids her goodnight and quickly leaves.

"I'm not sure if I should do that..."

The night sky was riddled with thunders cracking over the darkness, lighting up the mansion as it shook from each strike. The people in the large mansion were sound asleep, not bothered by the loud thunder except for one guest resident. (y/n) sighs softly as she nestles against a couch with a blanket, a teacup in her hand as her head rested against the back of the couch. She couldn't sleep, not because of the thunder, but because of her mind being restless with the thoughts of Five.

Her fingers brushed against her neck, a sudden shiver running down her spine as she remembered the feeling of his lips on her skin. This was wrong, to even think about him when he was courting her sister. The worst kind of betrayal but it was so hard to stay away from the handsome Viscount.

"This needs to stop..." (y/n) drank the last of her tea before standing up, moving to bring the teapot and cup back to the kitchen when the door to the library suddenly opened.

"(y/n)." the girl quickly looked up to see Five standing by the now open doorway, eyes wide from surprise as she moves to grab a shawl to cover herself from the thin nightgown she wore. "I apologise. I did not mean to startle you." Five walks into the library, closing the door behind him. "I saw a light and thought I might have left a candle lit."

"Sorry. That would be me. I was reading." Five looks over (y/n), the noble woman now feeble and shy as she moved to quickly set the book she was reading back in its spot on the shelf. His gaze was entranced by her soft features and free hair. She was beautiful like this just as she was the first night he conversed with her in the kitchen.

"Could you not sleep?"

"No..."

"Is it the storm?"

"No... I-I just have a lot on my mind at the moment." Five froze for a second, wondering if he should comfort (y/n).

"Do you... do you want to talk about it?" (y/n) shook her head, holding her arms.

She decided that it was best to leave, too much tension in the small room. "I...I think I should go back to my room. I do not want to disturb you-" Five quickly grabbed her arm before she could leave and he internally yelled at himself for why he did such a thing.

"(y/n)... wait please..." the girl stopped, her heart thumping in her chest as she turned around to face the Viscount. "If it is something I have done, something that I did to trouble you-"

"-no-I mean yes-" the Viscountess fumbles over her words. "We need to stay away from each other Five." The Viscount frowned at the notion. He didn't want to stay away from her. "The forest, the dinner, when you barged into my room. It needs to stop, we can't do this-" (y/n) sucks in a breath when Five suddenly walks towards her, brushing his fingers against her cheek. "Five... we can't..."

"And what if I don't want to stay away from you?" (y/n) looked up at him in shock as he stared down at her, a soft look in his eyes as he brushes her hair back.

"Don't say that-" her breath hitches as Five leans down closer, his nose brushing against hers and his lips moving to kiss her cheek. "Five-" (y/n) lets out a short gasp as he kisses down her jaw to her neck, stepping closer to her body and holding her waist. "My sister..." she stutters out as Five runs his tongue over her skin, groaning softly above her as he slowly pushes her back.

"You make me so mad, so frustrated..." Five groans out, sinking his teeth into (y/n)'s sensitive spot that has her keening for him. "So angry..." (y/n) leans her head back as a whine leaves her lips from Five kissing down her shoulder, his hands pulling down her shawl as his hips pin hers against the table behind her.

"Five-" she lets out a quiet moan that he was waiting to hear, kissing down her arms as he pulls down her straps and the shawl that falls to the floor. He moves back to kiss her neck, (y/n) grasping his hair in shock as he picks her up to sit on the table.

"I can't stay away from you..." Five hisses out as he pulls (y/n) close to him, his hands holding her thighs tightly to have them around his waist. "It's impossible..." he growls lowly, taking in the enchanting lily scent that drove him crazy. (Y/n) opens her eyes to see Five looking down at her with dark hooded eyes, a fire in them as leans closer to her. She was in a trance, knowing this was so wrong but it felt so good.

"Five..." (y/n) whispers, his lips brushing against hers as her hands ran up his chest to tangle in his hair. He wanted to kiss her, to have her for himself.

"You-"

"-sister?" Both Viscountess and Viscount quickly step away from each other, panting from the thick air around them when they heard a familiar voice outside the library door. (Y/n) looks at Five in shock and regret, moving to grab her shawl but he grabs her arm.

"(Y/n) please-" she rips her arm out from his grasp, shaking her head.

"Please, this needs to stop." Five watches as she runs out of the library, shutting it closed behind her. He lets out a sigh, touching his lips.
