~ You ~

→ Having panic attacks were a very rare occurrence to you. You never thought you would have one when you had your first attack back in highschool in grade 10.

→ It was a short experience you never wanted to go through again.

→ You thought you were a very calm person, you normally didn't give a fuck about anything and was just generally a chill person. So when you had a sudden attack, you were surprised after and very worried.

→ It has been a few years now since then and you were hoping to never have an attack again but guessing them being very rare, loved to pop up at random times.

→ It was a normal day in the beginning but when you woke up, you felt weird like a faint sick feeling. You ignored it and went about your day but you realised how empty you felt. You didn't want to do anything and it was one of those days where you wanted to run away and not look back.

→ To disappear and not exist.

→ No one seemed to pick up on your change of mood, not even Five.

→ You had years of learning to fake smiles and keep your feelings hidden.

→ Night quickly fell and the house was silent, the darkness creeping in and enveloping your body as you sat in the bathtub. You curled up in a ball, hugging your legs as you used your phone as a source of light like a torch.

→ Your tears pricked your eyes, sniffling as you leaned your head on your knees. You cried silently, your heart begging you to scream out but you bit your lips to stay quiet.

→ You didn't want to wake anyone up and wallowed in your sudden sadness as your chest throbbed painfully and your head pounded too loudly in your ears.

→ You let out a silent scream, the tears running faster as you cried out heavily. You wanted to drown away as you gripped your hair. Your chest constricted painfully and you look up to see the shadows around you swirl and turn in a sickening way.

→ You gasp from the painful stabs in your chest, heaving as your lungs felt like you weren't getting any air.

→ Everything around you spun and you heaved for air desperately when the lights suddenly turn on.

→ "(y/n)!" You grip your shirt, leaning over as Five ran over to you and picked you up out from the bathtub. "Look at me." You heaved for air, closing your eyes and diving into the darkness. "(y/n), please look at me." You finally do as Five asked and see the worry in his eyes. "Try to take a deep breath in." You shake your head, your breaths shallow as you cried. "Just follow me ok. Please." Five held your face in his hands as you followed his breathing.

→ "I-I'm scared-"

→ "-I know, just keep going." You take in a deep breath, your heart slowly calming down as Five kissed your forehead. "I'm here. I'll always be here for you."

~ Five ~

→ Five growled out as he spatial jumped all around the barn, trying to dodge the bullets The Handler fired at him.

→ "Give up dear Five. We both know you are at your limits here!" She yelled out, turning around while shooting a barrage of bullets. Five pants heavily, hiding behind a wall and trying to regain some strength. Sweat ran down his forehead as he tried to spatial jump again but flinches away when a bullet chips at the wall he was hiding behind.

→ "Shit, shit, shit! Work already!" Five groaned out, his power fizzing around his hands before disappearing again.

→ "Now come out so I can take one last look at my favourite employee before shooting you down. Huh?" Fibe snarls as he hears her heels coming closer to him.

→ "I need to get out somehow." Five looks around for an escape but his eyes widen when you suddenly run past the doorway and jump on the Handler. "(y/n)! NO!" he screams out, jumping out from behind the wall when he heard two gunshots go off.

→ Five freezes as the Handler drops to the floor, blood spilling from the wound in her chest and from her mouth. You panted as you held the gun in your but Five noticed the pale look on your face as you turned to look at him.

→ "Five..." You wheezed out, dropping the gun as Five runs towards you to catch you. Five's eyes widen and fear enveloped his heart as he saw the bullet wound in your chest.

→"No. NO! Stay withe me (y/n)!" Five cried out as you held you in his arms, your blood soaking his clothes as he hugged you. "Please, I'm begging you!"

→ "Five... I'm glad you're ok..." You heaved heavily, blood spilling from your lips as you coughed.

→ "Don't say that! Don't say that like you're saying goodbye!"

→ "Five..." You looked up at him sadly, tears spilling at how hurt he looked. You leaned your hand up to cup his cheek and he leans into your palm.

→ "Please, stay with me. I can't lose you. I'm begging you." Five stuttered out.

→ "I love you Five. I love you so much."

→ "Don't say that! You're going to make it! Just hold on!" Five yells out for someone, for anyone to hear him and help you. "Just stay awake!" Five cries out as he picked you up, running out of the barn for anyone to help him but he stood in an empty field.

→ "Five... We stopped the apocalypse... Take your family and go back home... Be happy." Five shook his head as you smiled up at him one last time, closing your eyes and your head falling on his chest.

→ "(Y/N)! NO! WAKE UP PLEASE! DON'T LEAVE ME BEHIND!" Five screamed out into the emptiness as he fell to his knees, hugging your cold corpse.

→ "(y/n)!" Five yells out as he shot up from his bed, his clothes drenched in sweat as he looked around his room. There was no sign of you and the left side of his bed was empty and cold.

→ He quickly bolts out of his bedroom, spatial jumping to the living room to try and find you but it was as if you disappeared. Five felt his heart running miles a second, fear hammering into chest as he found the kitchen empty as well.

→ "Five are you ok-"

→ "-wheres (y/n)!?" Five yelled at Vanya as she jumps back in surprise, worry in her eyes.

→ "I don't know-" Five spatial jumps to the roof to find it empty and jumps back in the house. Five slams doors open, breaking into Reggies office to only find him sitting at his desk and not you. Five cried softly, his chest constricting painfully as he dropped to the floor of his bedroom.

→ "(y-y/n)" Five wheezes out, gripping his shirt in pain. He doesn't hear his bedroom door slam open as he was kneeling in pain, struggling to breathe.

→ "Five!" Five cried out happily once he heard your voice and looks up to see you in tears as well, grocery bags fallen to the floor.

→ "Y-you're h-here-"

→ "-I would never leave you!" You held Five's face, holding him until his breathing evened out as he was heaving in shallow breaths.

→ "Y-you died." Five cries out and you knew how hurt he was. You knew that he couldn't witness his family die again in front of him.

→ He always a facade of being such a strong person, wearing a mask of a face that never held fear or worry but you knew that Five was in pain beneath that.

→ He was strong for so long, being alone for so many years with just himself.

→ "I'm here Five-" Five jumped onto you, hugging your tightly as he cried into your neck. You hugged him back tightly, rubbing his back as you rocked him back and forth.

→ "I thought you were really gone-you weren't here-you died in my arms again." Five mumbled out as you lean back to wipe his tears away.

→ "I'm alive and well in front of you aren't I?" You asked and you saw Five run his eyes over you with a frown, as if checking for any wounds.

→ "You're ok." Five breathed out, his hand placed over your heart as he leaned his forehead on yours. "Thank god you're ok." Five closed his eyes, feeling safe as you hugged him knowing you wouldn't disappear from his life. "I love you (y/n)." Five opened his eyes to see you staring up at him lovingly and he smiled softly as he leaned back.

→ "I love you too Five." Five sighed out, feeling you hold his cheeks as you kissed his forehead and his heart soared happily to know his world was in front of him and not crumbling around him.
