💫 Love Story Sequel (Part 2) 💫
When Five meant spending time with (y/n), he didn't mean him plus his whole family. Once one of his siblings caught whiff of his day out he had planned with the girl to the town square, the news spread within the minute and now all of them were on the beach annoying him while (y/n) chuckled lightly beneath an umbrella. It was a bittersweet moment to spend time with the family like this but (y/n) tried to have herself enjoy this soon-to-be memory with them.
"Oh don't look so upset, it's great to see you making friends!" Ben snickers as he sat with his wife Jill. The other siblings tease Five and he quickly gets up to shove Diego into the ocean water while Lila just laughs at her boyfriend whining about his hair getting wet.
(y/n) took videos of the outing, jotting down exactly what was happening in an old worn-out journal that has journeyed with her ever since. She fondly brushes her fingers against the drawing of the royal family she once was part of, looking up to match their similarities with the people that resembled them in front of her as of now. They were exactly the same, in both appearance, personality and with who their partners are and it was a breath of relief for her that nothing seemed to have changed, as if time has paused just for a second, just for her.
"That's a thick book!" Klaus hops to the girl his younger brother invited, excited to know more about this woman that seemed to grab Five's interest. She seemed like a shy little thing, dressed in an odd olden day skirt and blouse, even in this warm weather but he was determined to get to know her. "What is it about?"
(y/n) quickly shuts her book, Klaus taking notice of her nervous gesture even if she smiled at him. "It's nothing really. Just a scrapbook of my travels."
"Well, that's annoying. We have phones now. It's easier to use than writing."
"Yes, but this way I have something physical from my old life in my hands. I can't abandon it." Klaus pouts sadly at how sad the girl sounded and decided to try and cheer her up.
"Well how about I take videos of you on your phone as you enjoy yourself. I don't want you missing out." (y/n) noted how kind Klaus is, exactly the same as he was in Skonovia. Klaus froze as (y/n) smiled at him, her eyes tearing up as she gently placed her hand on his cheek.
"Thank you." She nods and carefully sets down her journal in her bag, being dragged away by Claire, Allison and Viktor as Klaus sat beneath the umbrella with tears falling down his cheeks. He didn't know why, gently brushing them away as his heart hurt.
"You must be hot in that!" Viktor exclaims but (y/n) shakes her head. She may have been from the modern world first before falling into Skonovia but her life revolved around Skonovia. She had lived there for longer, lived its culture with the royals and now she didn't know how to act in the modern world again. It was alien to her now.
"I got the perfect swimsuit for you!" Allison squeals before tugging the poor girl into a private change room and passing her a bag.
"Allison, I'm not changing so just let me out!" (y/n) huffs out, hearing her say no.
"Not until you change." (y/n) runs her finger through her hair, trying to figure out what to do. She didn't want to change but she knew how far Allison's stubbornness goes. She searches through the bag to change into something more comfortable, finding a loose top and some shorts while ignoring the bikini suit.
"Done!" she planned in her head to charge past Allison once she opens the door and that's what she does, the poor mother stumbling back as Claire catches her.
"(y/n)!" Allison pouts but (y/n) just laughs, the light sound reaching Five as he looks over to see his mysterious girl running away from her sister with a smile on her face. Finally, he was able to witness a smile that was only born from happiness and not melancholy.
"Five catch her!" Luther yells out and (y/n) yells at him not to.
"Sorry (y/n)!" the youngest sibling grabs (y/n) by her waist as she squeals, Five stumbling back into the ocean as she wriggled in his arms.
"Five!" she laughs out as he does the same, admiring her smile as he holds her tight against the water. This moment felt right, Five looking at the girl in his arms as she looked up at him with a red hue on her cheeks and wide eyes. Oh, those doe eyes that drew him in at such a short amount of time. "Five..." (y/n)'s heart raced against her chest as he leaned closer, his fingers holding her chin softly before it brushed her hair back from her cheeks.
"Tsunami attack!" Diego screams out as he throws water on the two unsuspecting youngsters, getting payback at Five while also ruining a moment for him.
"You asshole!" Five seethed, wiping the water from his eyes as he felt (y/n) step away from him.
"(y/n)... what's that?" Sissy asks.
"What's what?" she wiped the water from her eyes and that's when all the siblings and their partners looked at her, the shirt she wore sagging just a little to reveal a deep wound.
"That's a bullet wound..." Five mutters out, recognising the scar over where (y/n)'s heart would be from the many wounds he had gotten himself when he went on missions with his family. (y/n) froze and looked down, quickly pulling the shirt back up. "How-" she rushed past Five, an ache in her chest as she quickly packed up all her belongings. She couldn't let them see, couldn't let him see. "(y/n) wait-I'm sorry!" Five calls out, glaring at Diego before running after her. The town was mostly deserted and he looked around before teleporting to the library. Yes, Five had powers but so did his whole family, a sworn secret that no one knew about.
(y/n) slumped against the library door she had shut closed, gasping for air as her chest squeezed painfully. She felt like she couldn't breathe, wheezing as she cried from the memories that surrounded her. She could hear the war again, hear the cries and the screams of her people that were being slaughtered, hear the gunshots and fire crackling as the village burnt down.
"Five! No!" She wailed out as she reached for him, his body stumbling back as she heard a gunshot. She tried to get up to save him but it felt like she had no control of her body, watching her husband die in front of her as he murmured those three words to her one last time. "FIVE!"
Five panics as he hears (y/n) scream out, going against his family's rule and using his powers to teleport inside the library. "(Y/n)!" The boy fell to his knees next to the crying girl as she gasped for air, reaching out to someone only she could see. She begged for this person to not go and Five reached out to hold her hand in his gently, entwining his fingers with hers. "(y/n)..." Five whispers as she looked past him with wide eyes, tears streaming down her face as he guided her hand over his heart so she could feel that he was ok. "I'm ok, I'm alright. I'm here next to you." Five whispers as he held (y/n)'s cheek with his other hand to guide her eyes to look at him and she lets out a shaky breath of relief.
"Five?" (y/n) was so consumed in her grief that she only saw her husband and not the friend comforting her.
"I'm here." Five lets the crying girl fall into his arms to hold her tight and calm her down. "I'm here (y/n)..." he whispers softly while rubbing (y/n)'s back, her gripping his bare arms tightly as she cried into his chest.
"Five... don't leave me..." the girl whimpers and he pulls her into his lap to hug her tightly.
"I'm not going anywhere." He didn't realise that it wasn't him that (y/n) was begging for as he soothed her cries and kissed her head.
Five carefully stands up with the quiet girl in his arms, her having cried herself to sleep and he quietly searches for her bedroom, going up the stairs towards the back of the small and cozy library. Five climbed the spiral of stairs, stopping at a large portrait that was hung up on the wall and covered by a drape. The edge had fallen to reveal the very same sleeping girl in his arms except more regal. She had a crown on her head, dressed in royal gowns but that wasn't what caught Five's attention, it was the smile on her face. She looked so in love, so full of life and happiness as she had her head turned slightly to look at someone next to her that was hidden behind the drape.
Five continued to find the bedroom, ignoring the old painting thinking maybe it was an activity (y/n) did with some people to dress up as old royals and pose for a painting. But to go to extremes of owning a portrait that was centuries old?
Five carefully opened the bedroom door and walked over to the bed to carefully set (y/n) down. She had her face scrunched in pain and Five felt guilty for putting her through such pain when her wound was accidentally revealed. He sighs and gently brushes (y/n)'s hair away softly, the pain on her face melting away as she sighs out against his touch.
"Five..." he quickly stands up, muttering to himself about what he was doing and decides to leave, rushing past an old vanity. Five quickly stops, a glint catching his eyes and he looks over to see a drawer left open. Curiosity took the better hold of him and he carefully creeps over to see what it was. There sat the sad broken remains of a crown, the very same crown that sat in (y/n)'s head in the portrait. Five wondered why she would have something like this, wondered why it was broken until his gaze fell to a beautiful ring. A wedding ring.
She was married?
Five frowns, picking up the ring but stumbles back from the shock of electricity that ran up his arms. There was something familiar about it, something familiar about the design and inscriptions etched onto the band of the ring of an old forgotten language.
Five quickly teleported away from the library, the ring in a tight grasp of his hand.
