--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rumours had floated around the small village of a mysterious girl that was on an outing with one of the Hargreeves princes. The rumour was true in fact and reached the ears of Sir Reginald. However, he was not upset. People may view Sir Reginald as a cold and logical ruler but there was compassion in his heart for his family and he knew that he would do anything for his children to be safe and happy.

The rumour had not reached the young lovers in mind yet, but they have heard about the upcoming winter ball to signify the last night of winter before Spring arrived the next morning. The two young adults who had feelings for the other but didn't know about each other's feelings laid in (y/n)'s bed together.

"Will you be going to the ball (y/n)?" Five asks, laying on his side as he stared at the girl in front of him also laying on her side to face him. He held her hand, entwining her fingers with his.

"Maybe. I've never been to one before or even asked to go to one. I don't even know how to dance." Five laid silent, trying to think of a way to ask the girl in front of him to go to the ball with him until he sat up. "Is something wrong?" Five shakes his head and pulls (y/n) up on her feet and pulls her out of her room.

"I want to show you something." the couple giggles silently as they ran down the hallway hand in hand, trying to keep quiet so as to not wake anyone in the mansion. Five lead (y/n) to a secret stairway he once found in the back of his study.

"Where are we going?" (y/n) giggled as Five lead her up the spiralling staircase, open the door at the top to reveal a secret library. There were shelves of old books lined up against the wall, another spiralling staircase in the middle of the secret room leading up to the top floor. "Five, this is amazing." (y/n) was amazed, walking down the shelves and gliding her hand against the spines of the books that were magically still intact.

"I sometimes spend my days in here, hidden away." Five gently pulls (y/n) away from the books, leading her up the staircase to another door. (y/n) shuddered against the sudden cold winds as she stood on the rooftop overlooking the country. Her breath is taken away, seeing the speckles of gold light of the street lamps dotted amongst the ground in the night as faint music wafted through the air.

"This is beautiful." (y/n) gasps out in amazement despite the freezing cold. She looks up at the stars that seemed to be closer than ever. "Feels like you can reach them."

"Almost as if you could go to another universe..." (y/n) chuckles, turning to face Five as he holds her hands and pulls her close to him, removing his coat and draping it over her shoulders. "(y/n), will you go to the ball with me?" the girl looks up at Five in surprise, eyes wide as the boy eagerly waited for her answer.

(y/n) Took in a deep breath, smoothing down her custom ballgown as she stood in front of the large mirror trying to calm her nerves. She jumps lightly, feeling soothing hands on her shoulders and she looks up to see Queen Grace smiling down at her.

"You look beautiful (y/n)."

"U-uh thank you! You look beautiful too!" The Queen wore a pure white ballgown to symbolise the leaving winter as (y/n) wore something more darker for the winter nights. It was a lace navy blue ombre gown with petal vined applique embroidery. The dress was off-shoulder, letting her hair cascade over her arms as a dark blue and white flower crown adorned her hair.

"Shall we?" the queen asks with a kind smile and leads (y/n) to the large ballroom. They both stopped before the large double doors, the queen walking in and the guard announcing her presence. (y/n) was terrified of what people would think of her and hesitated. Her mind raced whether she should run away until the doors were opened and the guards urged her in. The girl slowly walked forward, surrounded by the orchestral music mingling with the chatter of the lords and ladies.

Five was talking to one of the many lords, his mind wandered off elsewhere as he only partially paid attention to the boring old man. His mind always drifted to (y/n), hoping to see her at the ball so he could confess his feelings. The boy never expected to ever fall in love, his research always coming first but ever since he met (y/n), he was falling deeper and deeper in love with her.

"Who is that?" Five heard sudden whispers, turning around to see the guests all looking up and he glanced up the stairs to the top floor balcony. He was absolutely lost for words as he saw the girl he loved standing nervously by the railing in the most beautiful dress he's ever seen. He didn't realise his feet walking him towards the bottom steps as he was enchanted by the girl that held his eyes, shining as if glitter had rained over her. Five held his hand out for (y/n) as she walked down the steps, entwining her fingers with his as he kissed the back of it.

"You look absolutely stunning (y/n)." Five whispered, brushing his fingers against her cheek as she blushed. (y/n) was too caught up from how handsome Five was in his dark blue suit that easily matched her dress to notice him pulling her towards the dance floor. The orchestra immediately started, a soft melody playing as a french singer sang the sweet words that wooed the guests.

"Five, I-I don't know how to dance." (y/n) panicked but Five smiled, pulling her close to him.

"Don't worry. Let me guide you." he whispered in her ear, lips brushing against her exposed neck. He leaned back and both lovers bowed to each other before Five took a step closer to (y/n). The girl hoped that Five couldn't feel her heart pounding against her chest from how close they were standing. (y/n) gasped as she felt Five wrap an arm around her waist, his eyes staring at her as he leads her to a dance. Five swayed (y/n) side by side, her dress following suit and gliding against the floor as he spun her around.

"They're all looking at you." (y/n) gasps out but Five shakes his head, spinning her around a few times.

"Trust me, they are all looking at you." Five moves his arm from her waist to her arm, elegantly raising it up and down before spinning (y/n) and catching her waist.

(y/n) held her arm against Five's face, gently cupping it before Five raised his arm to lay against her raised arm. They walked in a circle, smiling at each other as the guests around them whispered. They watched as the couple circled each other before Five caught (y/n) hand and spun her around. He pulled her close and lead her into a waltz around the dance floor, the guests moving back as they glided together. (y/n) was pulled in close before spun out and pulled back in as Five dipped her and picked her back up in a waltz.

The guests were in awe at the love between the couple like an age-old fairytale love story come true as they danced close together, mesmerised with each other. There were quiet gasps as Five twirled (y/n) around before picking her up and spinning her around. (y/n) was shocked, a blush on her cheeks as she was set down and dipped once more, the orchestra fading to a quiet lul as Five stared at her with warm eyes. He slowly picked (y/n) back up, an arm kept around her waist and the other on her cheek as the guests around them all joined to dance.

(y/n) took a step back, Five following her as she weaved between the guests. She giggled as Five tried to follow her, picking up her dress and running down the hallway towards the back garden. Five smiled as she turned around to beam at him before slipping past the doors to the outdoors and skipping down the steps to the snow-covered garden.

(y/n) hummed to the music that was faintly playing, swaying side by side and spinning around in her gown as Five watch. The snow fell around (y/n) like stars falling around her, shimmering from the moonlight as if she was a fairy. He watched, enchanted and mesmerised as (y/n) sang softly, reaching an arm out for him. He walked down the steps and gently held her hand again, holding her waist to lead them in a waltz. Five spun (y/n) around a few times, earning giggles that made his heart race. They stood in front of each other, smiling with large grins as Five pulled (y/n) close. Her heart thundered as he leaned closer, eyes hooded gently with his hand caressing her cheek.

Fireworks erupted in the sky as the couple kissed earnestly beneath the moon and the stars, their warm hold encasing them against the cold. (y/n) couldn't help but tear up, kissing Five deeply as she pushed on her tiptoes to lean into him closer. Their lips danced against each other lovingly as the snowflakes continued to flutter around them.

The Winter had finally departed and Spring enveloped the country with warmer days and an eruption of colour and sweet smells as flowers donned every possible space available. (y/n) and Five would spend every waking moment with each other, sometimes sneaking out of the mansion to mess around the village during the night or hide out in the secret library until they fell asleep in each others arms.

Everyone that came across the couple could tell they were both madly in love with each other, a kind of love that was on imaginable in stories. Five and (y/n) made each other so happy, so filled with love in their life that there was no way they could ever part from each other. People around them wondered when they would take the next step just as Fives brother, Klaus, had with his newly wedded husband Dave.

The wedding was absolutely beautiful and bursting at the seams with colour to match with the Spring season that would soon end the next day. Flowers were evident in every spot, even on Klaus' and Dave's wedding outfits as flower crowns sat on their heads when they exchanged vows and the priest announced them married.

Everyone cheered as they sat in their seats in the back garden of the mansion, willow trees hanging over the couple that kissed as flower garlands gently danced in the warm breeze that wafted with sweet honeysuckle and jasmin. Five watched as his love jumped up to hug Klaus and congratulating them, fiddling anxiously with the gift in his pocket as the words of his older brother echoed in his mind.

"I can see clearly that you both love each other so why don't you make it official? Everyone would be happy to welcome (y/n) to the family, especially father."

"I don't know Luther. She is not from this world. What if she disagrees and tries to go back to her world?" Five looked at Luther who gave him a sad look.

"Brother, if you trully love her, let her go. She will come back to you."

Five broke from his every as his love stood before him, brimming with happiness and beauty as she wore the soft purple chiffon dress with embroidered flowers.

She resembled a rare flower herself and Five couldn't help but be swept up in her warmth as she lead him to dance. He was completely enamoured and knew he would do anything for her.

Five pulled (y/n) close, her head resting on his shoulder as his cheek laid ontop of her head. "What are you thinking?" she asked, picking up on the distant look in her lovers eyes.

"Nothing to worry about love." Five answered sweetly, leaving a soft kiss on (y/n)'s lips.

The wedding was celebrated well into the night, alcohol being passed around as liquid confidence that allowed couples to go off into the night. (y/n) watched as Five took tentative sips, not wanting to be overly drunk but enough to be brave to ask his question. Midnight soon rolled around and Five and (y/n) were a bit more tipsy, giggling in the hallways as they danced around over wobbly feet.

They stumbled into Five's bedroom, giggling and kissing while pawing at each others clothes but Five quickly pulled back, realising he was forgetting something. "What's wrong?" (y/n) asked, her hands on her lovers cheeks as he scrambled to find his gift. The girl watched in confusion as he took out two tiny snowglobes attached on a necklace each. They were slightly glowing as if magic was stored in teh crystal balls, an evergrowing snowstorm inside the walls.

Five took in a deep breath, gaining the courage. "(y/n), you are a star from the vast universe, a beautiful fairytale that has made me fallen head over heels for." the girl held her breath as her lover confessed. "I can't see my life without you (y/n), I can't imagine my future where you are not in my arms to love and hold. So please, will you make me the happiest man in this universe and marry me?"

(y/n) was filled with overwhelming happiness, tears spilling down her cheeks as she jumped onto her lover and kissed him passionately like they never have before. "Yes. Hundreds times yes!" She gasps out and Five quickly pulls her back to kiss her deeply, hands roaming behind her dress to undo the silk ribbons while leading her backwards on the bed. They had undressed and confessed their love to each other beneath the silk blankets that night.
