~ Story 1 ~
It was that time of the year, that one month where houses along the street blocks and various supermarkets all decorate with spooky figures and fake creatures. One of those special holidays where people got to dress up as mythical creatures or old fable characters to go out and get candy from strangers.
A holiday Five hated with his whole being.
Halloween.
It's not that he ABSOLUTELY hated it. It's just how it was a whole ruse of consumerism and extra money in dentists' pockets for cavity checkups. He just didn't understand the whole appeal of dressing up and getting free candy. Five sighed out in annoyance as Klaus was running around in his bedroom, trying to figure out what costume to wear for tomorrow night.
"Why couldn't you do this in your room?" Five grumbles as he slams his book closed.
"Not enough room dear brother. I have outfits 1-5 set out in there. Plus I need your help choosing." Klaus grins, holding up a very slutty nurse costume and an equally slutty police costume.
"Yeah no. I'm going to have to bleach my eyes if I ever see you wearing one of those... things." Five shudders at the image and runs out of his room to search for you. He saw you in Allison's room, helping her and Viktor choose a costume for both of them to wear.
"Hey, love." Five smiles as you turn around to face him, instantly making him feel better when you smiled.
"Hey! Whatcha doing here?" Five sat next to you on the bed, wrapping his arms around you as he laid his chin on your shoulder.
"Klaus wants me to help pick out a costume for him. I escaped." You chuckle.
"What a nightmare that would've been." You sarcastically say, rolling your eyes with an amused smile on your face.
"Mhm. I don't think I can bear to see Klaus' ass hanging out of that slutty nurse costume."
"Holy shit." You snicker behind your hands. "Actually!?"
"I hope not."
"Well, I think he would rock that costume. Just saying." Five shrugs and he watches you go back to work, gluing feathers onto a piece of cloth seeing as Allison was going as the classic angel. "Hey, Five..." The boy hums in response, closing his eyes as he rested against you. "What do you think about Halloween?"
"I don't really see a point to it. People go out dressed in costumes just to get candy. Nothing really appealing."
"Oh." Five opens his eyes and he sees you stop doing your task. "So you don't like Halloween?" Five shakes his head.
"Not really. Why?"
"Oh, nothing. I was just asking."
"What do you think about Halloween?" Five asked, looking at your reflection in the mirror in front of his as you shrugged.
"I think it's kinda cool. You get to dress up as whatever you like and you get free sweets."
"Aren't we a little old for that?"
He noticed the sad look on your face. "Yeah... I guess we are too old for that now. Too late for it I guess..."
"Are you going to dress up tomorrow then?" Five asks. "I was hoping we could watch some movies together maybe. We get the whole house to ourselves since the others are going to be off at some party." Five mumbles, already planning of how he wanted to spend his night with you snuggling under the blankets together.
"I would love that." You smile at Five through the mirror and he beams, kissing your cheek. "Now shoo, I have to help put this on Allison." You chuckle, shoving Five out of the bedroom but he pouts at you.
"Noooo."
"Unless you want to see your sister naked, I suggest you hide from Klaus somewhere else." You quickly kiss Five on the lips and he sighs out.
"Ok, fine. But I'm coming to find you after."
"And I'm fine with that. Now shoo." Five beams as you wave goodbye to him, closing the door softly and he skips off back to his room. His mood was definitely lifted, even Klaus couldn't bring him down.
"Now why is my dear ol' brother looking so happy?" Klaus asks as he fixed the devil horns on his head as Five jumps on his bed.
"(y/n) and I are having a movie marathon tomorrow night and I'm excited about it." Five noticed the confused look on his brother's face as he turned to face Five.
"What? I thought she was going to go trick or treating tomorrow?"
"She said that?" Five mumbled in confusion. "Why did she say yes to the movie night?" Klaus shrugs, turning back to fixing his outfit.
"I don't know. I'm surprised she's not going out tomorrow night. She was really excited about it too. You know, it being her first ever Halloween shes celebrating. Apparently, back in her universe, she never experienced a proper Halloween, like legit never went trick or treating or anything like that. She told me that she wanted to spend her first Halloween with you tomorrow but I guess she changed her mind." Klaus, in his surprisingly non-drunken state just spilled one of your biggest secrets that he promised to never tell Five and he freezes.
Five frowns, hearing how you hid this from him and he realised why you looked so sad when he came to see you. "I never knew."
"Fuck, I was never supposed to tell you that!" Klaus points out to Five. "Oh, she's going to murder me in my sleep!" Klaus smacks his forehead but goes back to putting on his makeup. "You know, you too are oddly similar in personality. You both hide your true feelings inside and put others before yourself. Well, I think (y/n) has helped you to express your emotions better but I guess it's still harder for her." Klaus smacks his red lips, putting away the lipstick and leaning back like he just didn't give an analysis about Five's relationship with you. "Well don't I look fucking sexy. I'll go as a sexy devil then." Klaus grins before walking out to leave Five frowning on his bed and taking in all this information. Five quickly gets up to talk to you, teleporting to your room to find it empty.
"Where is she?" Five turns around and finds a bag with a crumpled note on top of it in the bin. Five bends down and unravels the note, his heart sinking at the words that were littered with hearts around it. "For Halloween." Five sighs out, feeling absolutely guilty. "Oh (y/n). I'm so sorry."
You groan out as you hear something crash and break loudly, violently waking you up from the nap that you were taking since you stayed up late last night helping the sisters with their costumes. "What's with all the noise?" You sit up, realising that Five wasn't in bed with you but you heard his frustrated voice downstairs. "What the?" As you put your foot down on the floor, you saw a trail of candies leading from the bed to the open bedroom doorway.
What's with the candy?
You yawn and walk out of Five's bedroom, following the trail downstairs when you come across the entire first floor decorated with spooky Halloween decorations.
"(Y/n)!" You blink at Five as he beamed at you, standing on a ladder while holding a large foam spider in the living room.
He quickly teleported to you and that's when you realise he was wearing a cute vampire costume. He was wearing a simple black turtleneck shirt with his black suit pants but made the effort to wear a cape with those fake pointy teeth.
"What's all this? Why is the house decorated?" Five held your hand, tugging you into the living room and you gasp at how amazing it looked. There were spiders in cobwebs in the corner, flying witches on the chandelier, mummies, zombies, skeletons, pumpkins and so much more.
"What do you think?" Five looked at you, feeling giddy and you smiled.
"This looks amazing Five! I love it. It's so cool!"
"I'm glad you love it. I got the others to help me decorate it for you."
"Wait, why? I thought you didn't like Halloween." Five shrugged.
"I wanted to do it for you since you liked it."
"Really!?" Five nods, feeling his heart soar at how happy you looked. "You didn't have to."
"I wanted to give you your first proper Halloween experience." Five chuckles as you whip your head to Klaus, glaring daggers at him when you realised he spilled your secret. "Go change into your costume and we can go trick or treating."
"REALLY!?" Five nodded, watching you run off quickly like an excited child.
"Don't you say shit." Five eerily grins at Diego before he could say something. He waited for you to come back as you ran down the stairs, noticing your costume. "Wait. Is that my uniform!?"
You chuckled, fixing Five's mask on your face. "Yep! Well, I had to borrow a skirt from Allison since your shorts were a little too small but everything else is yours." Five sighs out, shaking his head as he smiled.
"I thought I burned all that when I went shopping for proper clothes with you."
You winked at Five. "Guess you missed some stuff." You walked to Five and he held your hand, passing you a trick-or-treating bag as you followed the others out of the house and onto the street.
"Why dress up as me?"
"I wanted to dress up as someone I love." Five blushes and squeezes your hand tightly, kissing the back of it. "Thank you so much for this Five."
"It was no problem love. You know you can tell me if you want to do things. You don't have to hide them."
"I know, but I didn't want to force you to celebrate Halloween with me. I just wanted to do something with you." You mumble, laying your head on Five's shoulder as he kissed your head.
"I'll do whatever you want to do love."

~ Story 2 ~
It was spooky season once again, October bringing the famous Halloween to your streets as you ripped open the packets of candy that you had bought at the shopping mall and putting them in a bowl. You look over your shoulder and grin as you watched your 24-year-old husband try to carve a scary expression on the pumpkin. The keyword here is, try.
"Five babe, glare any longer at the pumpkin and it might explode." You chuckle as he sighs out, leaning back against the chair and giving up.
"This is too hard. How do kids do this!?" He groans, wiping his hands free of pumpkin bits.
"You know I never asked you to do this. You didn't have to." Five grins up at you.
"Just wanted to try something different." He gets up from the dining table and walks over to you to wrap his arms around your waist. "That's quite a lot of candy you got there love." He leans his chin on your shoulder as you hum out, mixing up candies in the bowls you had in front of you.
"Yeah well, more kids are coming around each year so I wanted to be prepared. Plus, we get to keep the leftover chocolates after tonight."
"You mean you get to keep the leftover chocolates." Five chuckles as you swat his chest, his body looming over you as he turned you around to face him.
"Ok, I admit. The leftovers are for me." You raise your hands in admittance and Five grabs them, kissing your hand that held the simple diamond ring. He smiled down at you lovingly, stealing a kiss from your lips. You smile softly in the kiss, wrapping your arms around his neck as Five deepens it. Your heart suddenly starts racing as he held your hips against his, your back against the kitchen counter. "Five-" You sigh out as he shushes you, kissing you again.
"I love you." Five pants out softly against your lips as he leans back, staring down at you with so much adoration.
"And I love you too Five." You grin up at him, placing your hands on his cheeks to kiss him again when the doorbell suddenly rings.
"Oh come on!" You chuckle as Five groans out, hearing the chorus of trick or treat from the other side of the front door.
"Seems like the tricksters are here a little early." You wiggle yourself out of Five's grasp, hearing him whine for you as you grabbed a bowl of candy. You opened the front door, seeing the first round of the kids and you awe at how adorable they were. "Five, look how cute they are!" You gush over the kids as you squat down for them to easily grab a piece of candy from your bowl.
"They are quite cute." Five chuckles as the kids say thank you and run off to the next house. You were about to close the door when two kids, a boy and a girl run up to you.
"Trick or treat!" they smile happily and you fall absolutely in love with the small children. The boy was wearing an old Umbrella Academy uniform while the girl was wearing a cute little ballerina outfit.
"Just because you two are such adorable little things, I'll give you extra. Just make sure to not tell anyone." You wink at the kids and they beam up at you as you place extra candies in their basket.
"Thank you miss!" The kids hug you before running off and Five hugs you as you stand back up.
"How cute would it be to dress up our kids like that." You sigh softly and you feel Five freeze.
"Wait, our kids?" You freeze up as well and quickly enter back inside your house, closing the door. "I guess you would be right. Dressing up our little girl like a princess and I can dress up as her prince." Five chuckles and you whip your head around to see him imagining his sweet little girl running around in a sparkly dress.
"Who said our first kid is going to be a girl? It's going to be a boy dressed up as an astronaut." Five raises a brow at you as you grin at him with a hand on your hip. You could imagine your little boy teleporting around the house with his father's gift in an astronaut suit, absolutely annoying the shit out of his dad as the two play cat and mouse with their teleportation powers.
"Please. Our first kid is so going to be a girl. Our second will be a boy." Five smirks down at you as you blush brightly, realising what he meant.
"Nope. I bet it's going to be the other way around." You cross your arms, looking away from your husband as he had an evil glint in his eyes.
"Well, why don't we have a bet on the gender then."
"Wait, what do you mean-FIVE!" You squeal loudly as Five picks you up and throws you over his shoulder, running up to your shared bedroom for a long tiresome night.
You won the bet by the way. Twice.
