I was inspired by a tumblr artist called H. Mae. I really like her DoloresxFive art posts, they are really cute.

Heres the link to her page: https://hains-mae.tumblr.com/post/630700158402871296/five-hargreeves-x-dolores

Yes, I'm writing Season 4 already, got only 3 ideas though, not much... feel like I might go for a more domestic lifestyle for the last season. Five needs to rest honestly, he really needs it.

(y/n) - your name

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When I woke up, my mind was absolutely blank. I had no idea who I was or where I was. When I woke up, all I saw was death and destruction like hell had escaped and leaked into Earth. Buildings were crumbled into debris and the bodies of people simply laid on the floor as unmoving corpses. Fire danced around exploded machinery and vehicles as I sat up. I looked down at myself and realised that I was glowing a soft blue light.

I'm dead?

A sudden wave of sadness and loneliness washed over me as I slowly stood up on my bare feet that hovered an inch over the ground.

I'm alone.

I stumble out of the debris and look back to see a hand poking out from beneath the rocks, a dainty ring sitting on its finger.

Is that my ring?

I sigh out and turn back around to walk away but I was tugged back in place. I look back to see that a single pale string linked me back to the ring.

Great. I'm stuck here.

I hovered over the rocks, trying to remember my name or any other information about myself. I was wearing a dress of sorts, my being completely transparent except for the outlines of my body a glowing blue. I ran my fingers through my hair and I tug it down to see it was a bit long. I look around and saw a car door with its window still intact but I couldn't see my reflection.

Figures.

I don't know how much time had pass by but there was a sudden flash of blinding light. I look up from my little rock perch and see a boy about my age stumble over his feet.

Who is that?

He looked around in fear and confusion, blue electricity fizzing around his hands before it disappeared. I watched as he cried and screamed out, gripping his hair as the soot ruined his impeccable blue school uniform.

The poor thing.

I watch as he hastily wiped his tears away, getting up and roaming around for supplies. He walked over to my side, pulling a red wagon behind him.

Take the ring, take the ring!

I prayed as I stood up, seeing this boy pull on the hand with the ring to bring out a slightly damaged mannequin. I gasp softly as I'm tugged with the mannequin, the boy pouting and tears welling up again as he hugged the mannequin.

"I'm scared." I frown sadly, placing a hand on his cheek to try and comfort him but my hand simply fazed through. The boy hugged the mannequin that had no bottom, pulling back to give a sad smile. "I guess it's just us two..."

I guess it is.

"I'm Five..."

So that's your name.

"I'll call you Dolores." I smile faintly as the boy perks up a little, placing the mannequin gently in his wagon. He walks off and I gasp as I get tugged along.

I guess I really am joining him.

I fly behind the boy, tagging along by the wagon as he continued to live out his life here in the deserted apocalypse.

I sighed as I walked side by side with Five, seeing him mess with the goggles on his face as he walked through a sand storm. Many years have gone past as I watched Five grow up into a fine young man. He grew up intelligent and independent, his face becoming more prominent and handsome as he grew inches taller than me.

We cleared through the storm and Five took his headscarf off, freeing his long hair that he tied back. There was a sad look on his face and I frowned, pain and sadness panging in my chest.

I hate seeing him so sad like this.

I hover in front of him, floating backwards as I placed a hand on his cheek. I move my hand as if to brush his hair away from his face but it doesn't move. Five shudders, scratching his cheek and I sigh out, going back to walk by his side.

"I guess this is where we will camp for the night Dolores." I sat by the mannequin as I watched Five move around to fix things to camp for the night. He sits down next to me with a flask in his hand, looking up at the stars.

There were many nights where I listened to the stories of his childhood and about his family as he spoke to Dolores. There were many amusing stories and stories of hardship as Five complained about his father. But there were nights where Five missed his family dearly and cried himself to sleep. It hurt me how much he was in pain and that I couldn't do anything to help him.

"I wish there was someone here to listen to me. As much as I enjoy your company Dolores... It's just not the same..." What he didn't know was that there was someone to listen to him besides the mannequin.

Five sighs out and moves to lay on his makeshift bed and I moved away. I looked up at the full moon, sitting down by Five's head. I carefully lift his head and rest it on my lap as my shimmering hands finally brushed his hair away. Five slept peacefully as he laid in my lap and I lean my head down closer to his.

"I'll always be here to listen to your stories Five..." I mumbled weakly, kissing his forehead.

My hair whipped around me harshly as Five stood before a portal, struggling to make it larger. His hat flew away as his suit jacket whipped around his much older body. I looked around to see people and cars, still feeling out of place after the many years of being alone. I had followed Five to the place called the Commission when a lady came to save him. I would've been left behind if Five hadn't taken the ring with him. I don't know why he did but it let me follow him.

Even though I would've tried to follow him anyway.

Over the many years, I struggled to watch Five, the boy I unknowingly fell in love with slowly turn into a cold and murderous man. I understood that he had to do it in order to escape back to his family, but I couldn't watch the lives being taken from his victims.

I turn back to see the portal finally large enough for him to go through. I hovered next to Five, seeing him hold the ring on his necklace tightly before jumping through. I gasp out as I get forcefully tugged along, falling onto the grassy floor before the pairs of many feet.

"Is that me or do I see little Five?" I slowly get up and turn around to see Five back as his young self when I first saw him.

I hovered outside the family as they all went for a group hug and I smile softly knowing Five was home safe and sound. They all follow Five inside as he made something to eat and I hovered above him, looking at the sweet sandwich.

"What's with the ring?" One of Five's many siblings ask and Five takes the necklace off, staring fondly at the ring as he held it in his hands like a precious prize.

"Something I found when I got stuck in the apocalypse. There was something warm and comforting about the ring. I couldn't part with it." I smile brightly, leaving a kiss on his cheek and Five shudders, patting his cheek while looking around in confusion. I look up and see the lanky sibling stare directly at me.

Can he see me?

I look behind him to see another sibling but he was also glowing a faint blue. "You're a ghost too?" He asks me and I nod. "My brother, Klaus, can see ghosts."

"Oh." Klaus smiles brightly at me and I wave at him. He waves back and winks at me, his hands glowing. "What?" I start glowing brightly and everyone's eyes are suddenly on me.

"So you were the one that stayed by Five's side the entire time huh?" Klaus asks and Five stares at me with wide eyes.

"You can see me?" He nods softly and I tear up slowly. "I guess you can say I was there since the beginning." I stare at the ring and Five understood, moving it around causing me to move as well. "I'm just glad you came back to your family. It hurt me seeing you so sad." I sniffle and Five smiles sadly as he wiped my tears away.

"Thank you for being there for me. Even if I couldn't see you." Five kissed my cheek and I flush red.

"I can't keep her here for much long." Klaus grunts as I flicker in and out of view.

"Five. Just know that I love you and will always be by your side." I kiss Five's lips gently before leaning back when I turn back into a ghost.

"I love you too." Five sighs out, kissing my ring and smiling brightly at me even though he can't see me.

I guess it's my time to leave.

I look over at Ben, grinning as my ghost form slowly turns into particles. "Tell Five my name is (y/n). Not Dolores." I giggle, kissing Five's cheek one last time. "And please don't tell him I'm gone. Let him be happy."
