The house was finally filled with many more happy memories than dark nightmares as you and Five got closer. He was able to make you smile and feel absolutely alive every time he came over to spend time with you. He made you feel loved, made you cry from laughter, made you beam smiles in joy, made you feel like someone truly cared.

And Five did. He had fallen in love with you as you had for him. He wanted to make you feel loved, wanted to make sure you knew you weren't alone anymore, wanted you to smile and always be happy. He didn't know when he fell in love with your precious smiles but he knew he couldn't get enough of you.

Your booming waves of laughter echoing around the halls as you both chased each other on bikes, riding around the foyer in circles.

The sparkle in your eyes he loved to watch every time you tried a new flavour of ice cream on your afternoon walks.

The mischief in your smile that enticed his heart as you both broke into balls and danced together in the middle of the dance floor.

Or when you both chased each other in the backyard on a hot summers day while having a water gun fight. You had shoved Five into the pool and he gasped in surprise as he resurfaced, seeing you burst into laughter. He had grabbed your hand and pulled you into the pool, laughing at the sudden attack as you jumped up all wet. Five watched as you laughed, grinning at him happily despite your clothes being drenched and he finally understood the warm feeling in his heart.

The love he felt for you then when he held you in his arms, wrapped around your waist as yours were sling around his neck. Five panted, his heart racing as his eyes flicked over your face, stopping down at your lips. Before he could do anything, a spike of regret hits him and he quickly lets you go.

"Let's get back inside before we catch a cold." Five avoided your eyes and grabbed your towel before passing it to you as you got out of the pool. Five dries himself, watching as you just nod and walk back into the house. He caught the sad look in your eyes before you disappeared for the showers and he sighs in defeat.

The night was warm and sweet as you laid on the couch next to five while watching a movie. It was your annual weekend sleepover that you begged Five to have with you since you never had a sleepover before. Now every weekend he comes over with a fresh batch of peanut butter and marshmallow sandwiches like the one you were munching on.

The movie drones on as Five just paid attention to you, softly playing with your hair as you fell asleep in his arms. A blush erupts on Fives face as you snuggled into his chest, sighing out and hugging him. Fives heart sang as he carefully draped a blanket over you, caressing your cheek softly.

Five sighs out happily, pulling you up and hugging you in his lap as he kissed your forehead. "...But I can't..." guilt was all he could feel as he frowned, laying his head on top of yours and closing his eyes as he hugged you. He loved the girl in his arms and he had to try and do something to stop his siblings.

Five carefully and silently slipped out of your arms, laying you down on the couch and wrapping you up with a blanket. "Why did it had to be you...?" Five mumbles out, laying a soft kiss against your lips and quietly leaves the living room. As soon as the doors closed, you open your eyes, a frown on your face as the cold enveloped you.

You slowly sat up, looking past the living room doors to the front door. "Five..." you didn't know why but after hearing those words and how lovingly he held you, you needed to know what was going on. You slipped out from the living room and left your house, following Five when you found him walking down the street.

You don't know how long you had been following Five but he had turned to go inside a warehouse and you slowly crept over to the door to look inside. You held your breath as you saw him stand in front of a table, slamming his hands down on it with 6 other people sitting around the table.

"We need to stop this." Five hissed out.

"Why? This is our job. This is what we do. And the last time I checked, I'm the leader here!" The blonde giant ape-man stood up abruptly, glaring at Five.

"I can't steal anymore. I can't do any of this and I won't! I'm sick and tired of doing this and I'm done!"

"You've gone soft. Did spending time with your precious girlfriend realise the wrongs of the world?"

"Luther-"

"-I don't fucking care. Complete your part of the mission and get (y/n) to trust you. I've had enough of you!" The blonde ape-man called Luther leaned down and whispered something to Five as his eyes widen in fear.

Five falters and sighs out. "Fine..."

"Great. Get (y/n) to organise a ball as a distraction so we can empty her out." You stumble back, the words echoing around in your head as your heart broke. You couldn't stand being here anymore and you ran off, tears streaming behind you.

"If it's a ball they want, then it's a ball they're gonna get..."

The ballroom chatted with laughter as the orchestra played soft mellow music while people in gowns and suits mingled and ate from the buffet. Despite the growing enjoyment and life, Five anxiously looked around the large room that had recently been renovated. He was looking for you and it had been weeks since he had last saw you.

You had cut him off weeks till the day you released an announcement of a ball to introduce the very much alive daughter of the (l/n) family. Five grew worried as he noticed his family sneaking in through the front door.

"Where is she!?" Five hissed out, his plans of running away with you growing thin. He plays with the mask on his face as he nervously looks around, suddenly seeing a glance of the warm eyes he fell in love with. "(Y/n)!" Five darts after the figure in the blue gown winding between people but they disappear from thin air.

Fives heart races as he turns around, seeing what he thought was you standing on the outskirts of the ballroom staring at him before you left the room. Five quickly runs after you, shoving people aside and running out into the foyer. The house had changed dramatically, filled with people and confusing hallways until he spotted someone walking down at the end of the corridor.

"(Y/n) wait!" Five calls out, running as fast as he could down the winding hallways until he arrives at the familiar charred and ashen stairs. "(Y/n)?" Five gently calls out, silently walking up the stairs to see your parent's bedroom door slightly ajar. Fear swipes at Five as he gulps, carefully pushing the door open to see his siblings?

"Five! What the fuck are you doing here!?" Allison grits her teeth as Klaus was unlocking the door to a safe.

The door suddenly opens and the Hargreeve siblings are all surprised to see the safe empty and clear of diamonds and money, already packed up in bags. "How did she find out!?" Viktor gasps and Five walks over to a note resting on one of the bags. It was addressed to him.

"I should never trust so easily. You lied to me, knew who I was and it's always me that pays the cost. Have it all, rip our memories off the wall. They mean nothing to me anymore. Now I know just what you love me for. Take all the money you want from me." Five reads out, his heart shattering as he crumpled the paper and threw it at Luther's face before running back out.

"Five stop-!" He had to try and find you, a sinking feeling in his chest growing.

He spots a blue gown and runs further down into the charred hallways that slowly turned black. "(Y/n)! Wait please!" Five calls out, eyes glazing over as he ran further down the almost nightmarish dark hallways. He turns around and he could barely see the light of the other end of the hallway but he turns back around to find you. He slams open a door that he finds and stops short to see your back turned to him as you stood on a broken balcony. "(Y/n) don't! Please!" You turned around, face devoid of emotions despite how beautiful you were to Five in the blue gown and the wind caressing your hair.

"Hope you become what you want to be Five..." You took a step back as he took a step forward.

"Don't do this! I love you (y/n)! Let's just run away together please!"

"Show me how little you care and I'll show you how little I care." Five cried as you took another step back as he begged you to stop. "I truly loved you with all my heart but I don't want anything to do with you." Five broke down, reaching out for you as you took your final step back. Five screamed out for you, running forward to try and save you but his fingers just miss your own. His pained screams and cries echo into the night as he falls to his knees, wracked in regret and guilt for the woman he loves.

"My diamonds leave with you and you're never gonna hear my heart break."
