Chapter 2: Impossible

King Eric's POV

I just lie down on the sofa of my office,with a bag of blood in my hand.

I do not want to leave my love for a single moment but  Dr Harrison insisted that I should go and feed.So I am here now,sitting and thinking hopeless things.

"What is the damn profit of being the vampire king? One who can not save his wife,his soul mate?"I screamed in outrage.

Suddenly someone knocks at the door and then a guard enters.

"What?"I look at him with hateful eyes,"How dare you disturbing me?"

"Forgive me,my king."He is shaken with fear.I mentally cursed myself.

"I am sorry.You know what is happening with me.I cannot control myself.Now tell me."

"Count Rockford wants to meet you.He said it is very urgent matter."

"Send him in."I sighes and finishes the blood bag.The guard leaves and then enters my one of the most trusted second in comand and best friend,Count Rockford.

He is a 300 year old vampire in a body of a 30 year young man.He walks in front of me and then bowed.

"My King." He raises his head then look at me.

"Eric,I dont want to disturb you,but............"

"I know Rock,you will not disturb me without some good reason.What happened?"

"Yesterday night,our police force caught a vampire criminal.He said that he tried to hunt a human but the human beats him black and blue."

"But how is it possible?"No human can beat a vampire?"I ask in disbelief.

"I know Eric but the vampire is telling the truth. We checked him with lie detector and found some masculine human scent from his body.But the most unusual thing is,he has the same silver burn mark which our queen has."

"What are you saying?"I jump from my sofa.There is a strange silver burn mark in my wifes neck.

A 'V' with some design.We,vampires are highly alergic to silver.It can burn our skin by just touching and leave a ermanent blue mark.

"I want to meet him."I said to Rockford,then suddenly the phone of my room rings.

I answer the phone. Dr Harrison.

"My kng,the queen wants to meet you now.She want to make some confession."

"I am coming."I run to my car.
