Pet peeve: writing crushes very simply, bland and just like "omg I think I love *insert name* o fuk"

Tip: get creative with it! I once read something that said that people pretty much act like their opposite selves when around their crush. I don't see this enough in the things I've been reading, which really disappoints me because it can be used so well! Make them slip up around their crush, not act like themselves, and (depending on the personality of said crush) have them notice it. And maybe do some research on how people act around crushes. It can be fun just to research a bit.
