◇ Siren's Song
So I'm actually getting back to my longer oneshots that aren't oneshots, and that means this is only the first part!
I'm so happy to have time to write! Oh, and if you guys have any ideas, please DM or comment.
Seriously. If in the middle of the night you suddenly have this weird idea, get on here and tell me about it.
Dean snuggled into the blankets, blinking drowsily at the figure curled up into his chest. The clock showed that the time was almost two in the morning, Dean having woken up for a few moments because of the angel's sleep talking.
He pulled Cas closer to him, the smaller man nuzzling him as he adjusted unconsciously. Dean's lips split into a small, affectionate smile. "I love you, Cas," he murmured, pressing a quick kiss to his angel's head.
🎶🎶 Some time earlier 🎶🎶
Dean was shaken awake by a loud crash. He screamed and fell off of his bed, hitting the ground hard. Frowning, he pulled himself up and pulled on a pair of pants, his good dreams interrupted.
Walking into the kitchen, he discovered Gabe, who was currently being pulled out of a trashcan by Cas. The angels looked up when he walked in.
"Heya, Deano," Gabe piped up sheepishly. His face flushed with embarrassment.
Cas greeted him with his signature deep, "Hello, Dean."
The hunter looked at the trashcan. "Care to explain?" he asked, moving to make himself some coffee.
Cas shot his brother a look. "Gabe was pestering Sam."
The archangel's mouth dropped. "Was not!" he defended, somewhat in a whine.
Dean snorted. "Obviously you were," he replied, raising an eyebrow and gesturing for Cas to continue.
"He interrupted Sam's research and dyed his hair purple," he furthered, smirking.
Dean barked out a laugh. "Serves you right, then." He took his now made coffee and sat at the table, taking a sip and breathing out a sigh.
Gabe pursed his lips and was about to say something, but was interrupted by the mooses arrival. The archangel scowled and looked down.
"So get this," he said, sitting down opposite Dean.
The Winchester glanced at his brother's hair with a smile. Instead of the brown, it was now a blindingly bright shade of dark purple. Sam caught him looking and rolled his eyes.
"Yeah, yeah, jerk," he muttered.
Dean shrugged. "Sorry, it's just..." He made a few weird gestures that Sam didn't really find any meaning in, so he just let it drop.
"Anyway," the younger sibling drawled. "Apparently there's a siren in Hurricane."
Gabe choked on air. "HURRICANE, UTAH?"
Sam turned to face him. "Yeah. Why?"
The archangel sputtered, "The Silver Eyes! The original Freddy's was allegedly built there around '85 in it."
Cas tilted his head. "I do not understand."
Gabe groaned, running a hand over his eyes. "FNAF, Cassie. Why aren't you a geek?"
Again, Cas didn't understand. He simply kept quiet, his face showing his utter confusion.
"FNAF was easy," Sam commented. "And the pieces of storyline make for one of the best stories in a game since the first development."
Gabe's eyes narrowed. "Easy?" he spat. "I'll have you know..."
Dean sat there sharing looks with Cas, both of them wondering when their brothers would just make out already.

"Dean?"
"Yeah, Cas?" Dean glanced over at the angel, who was in the front seat of Baby. The car was void of Sammy, having just flown early with Gabe to get a head start.
Cas blinked his blue eyes. "How do humans spot sirens?" he questioned.
Dean shrugged. "We don't, really. The only way we know is if two people look at someone and see two completely different people, granted they aren't in love with the same person." He frowned. "Can angels see sirens as they actually are?"
Cas nodded. "Typically, we can. We can only see the ones that are new to this century. Those that have survived for years before that have learned how to hide themselves from even our view."
The hunter made a sound, letting Cas knew he'd processed the information. It fell into silence after that, until the angel piped up again.
"May I choose a song, Dean?" he asked, unknowingly giving him puppy dog eyes.
Anyone that knows Dean knows that he doesn't just let people pick music in his car. But then again, none of them were Cas.
He shrugged. "As long as it's not country, knock yourself out."
Cas seemed to catch onto the fact that Dean was actually using an expression. Within a few seconds, a tape that the hunter didn't recognize was in his hands and was being pressed into the slot.
Dean waited for it to load, his eyes flickering to it. Soon, the beat began to fill the air and he recognized the voice.
Is it still me that makes you sweat?
Am I who you think about in bed?
Dean choked, eyes wide. His hands swerved on the steering wheel and he quickly adjusted them. "What the hell, Cas?"
Cas turned away. "I enjoy the sound of Brendon Urie," he defended.
"Okay," Dean replied after a minute. It just... shocked him, he guessed. An angel listening to old style Brendon. At least he didn't have a penchant for Emperor's New Clothes.

When they arrived at the hotel, Gabe was asleep on the bed and Sam was trying not to pass out. He looked up when Cas and Dean walked in, giving a tired wave, his eyelids blinking at different times because of his drowsiness.
"That bad, huh?" Dean gave his brother a sympathetic thing along with a click of his tongue.
Sam cracked a grin. "You don't know the half of it."
Dean sensed Cas behind him for a moment and then he was gone. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the angel on the bed with his head pressed against the backboard, Gabe's head now in his lap, fingers passing through his golden hair.
He couldn't help but feel slightly jealous. Dean had admitted to himself a while ago that his emotions towards the angel weren't exactly platonic, but he'd kept it too himself, too scared to say anything. Seeing the brothers acting like this... Dean just couldn't help but yearn.
"We talked with a good chunk of the town," Sam said, his voice kind of airy as he talked, like he was half asleep already. "A lot of them are homophobic and mistook Gabe and I for boyfriends, so we were chased around. The ones that did actually talk to us made crazy descriptions and were basically insane from their experiences. They were delusional, especially since all of them had watched their love literally die."
Dean frowned. "What?"
"The siren would lure them somewhere and basically commit suicide. It would force them to watch as it died, and then the body would vanish. Most of them went crazy." Sam leaned his head against the desk. "Night, Dee."
Dean watched his brother quickly fall asleep. He looked over and noticed that Cas had also fallen asleep, his hand still in Gabe's hair.
He smiled and stood up, kissing Sam's head gently. Dean went to the other bed, curling up in the covers. He turned off the night and fell asleep listening to the quiet of the night.
This is actually going to be closer to three parts, but oh well.
Imma go work on In Tune now. Buh-bye!!!
