♡ High School
Haiiiii *derp face* It's currently midnight and I'm exhausted from the third night of my play, which means I'm gonna write. At least I can sleep all day today, right?
I have a thing for teenage AUs, especially really cliche ones. Like, as much as I like original ideas, cliche ones man!
I was so confused with myself. Normally, I don't get really attracted to a person. But this... I really didn't know what to make of it and I was freaking out.
Luckily for me, the moose was gone so I could talk to my friends about it.
See, Sam and I had been best friends for years, but over the last few months I've realized that I'm not exactly platonic with my feelings. The fact that it's him I'm falling for terrifies me.
I plopped down at my regular table, looking at the faces of Balthazar, Castiel, Dean, Charlie, and Jo. Well, not exactly Cas and Dean. They were too busy locking lips to be bothered.
"How do I politely tell someone to slam me against a wall and make out with me without actually having to tell them because I'm too much of a trashy antisocial potato?" I asked, pulling a sucker out of my pocket.
Charlie and Jo squealed and Balthy gave me a grin. "So you finally got your head out of your arse, then?" he teased.
I frowned. "Huh?"
"With the moosey," he clarified, rolling his eyes.
"You're always staring at him," Jo pointed out.
Charlie nodded. "And he's always staring at you." She snorted. "I'm actually surprised the two of you haven't torn each other to shreds with an intense lip lock yet."
I cringed. "The way you word things."
"Is fabulous." She winked and lightly laughed. "No, but seriously, Gabey. The way you two look at each other is so damn dominant. No one else would ever dare try to weasel in."
Dean and Cas broke away, the blonde fixing me with a glare. "Just make sure you treat him right." He grinned. "But brotherly instincts aside, you two are seriously the cutest thing."
I smiled. At least my friends thought we were good together. Even if Moose didn't....
What if he didn't though?
What if I admitted it and he thought it was some prank?
Or if he loved me, but just as friends and we were awkward our entire lives?
Or if he just flat out ran from me?
I mean, it wasn't exactly normal to fall in love with your best friend. Besides, he's most likely straight. The school knows I'm pan, but Sam hasn't said yes or no to nothing.
My eyes widened when I realized the bell had rang and the cafeteria was now void. "Shit."
***Perspective switchy to Moosey moose***
"How do I politely tell someone that I want to slam them against a wall and make out with them?"
Charlie and Jo exchanged a suprised, yet knowing look. "You just do it," the redhead answered.
I frowned. "Helpful advice, Charles."
Currently we were at my house since I'd skipped school to work.
WHAT HAVE I DONE? SAMMEH BOY SKIPPING? EVEN FOR WORK?
Jo piped up, "Drive to Gabe's house and shove him against his door."
I went red. "How the Herondale did you know it was Gabe?"
"What kind of person do you take her for?" Charlie defended, throwing her arms around Jo. "Fite me, bitch!"
I sighed and stood. "I'm just gonna go," I murmured, eyeing the two girls.
They stuck out their tongues. "Don't come back til dark!" Charlie cheered.
"Murry Christmiiiiiis," Jo drawled, already too caught up in some show to even care.
Shaking my head, I walked towards the door, taking my keys from my pocket. "Kicked out of my own house..."
***Back to Gabey's because it's so much easier to write in***
I was sitting on the couch, feeling depressed because I hadn't heard a word from Sam today, when I heard a knock. Alfie paused our show, giving me a pointed look. Surrendering, I got up to answer it.
"Moose?" I opened the door and there stood the tall guy, looking nervous. He smiled a little down at me when I gazed up at him.
"Kill me for this later," he told me. The next thing I know, the door is slamming and I'm being pinned against it.
Sam's fingers ignited my skin where they grazed it, the fingers clasping my shirt tightly. His eyes searched mine, sending my pulse beating, heart frantic.
"Why did I have to fall in love with you?" he whispered. Before I knew it, his fingers ghosted up to my face, lips colliding with mine.
I gasped, my body seizing at the shock of it. Slowly I kissed back, my eyelids closing and my arms going around my neck as his snaked my waist.
"Because I fell for you, too," I breathed to him when he pulled away. His grin spread across his face and we were kissing again.
I've never felt happier.
It's two in the morning now because I've also been reading in between writing. Yay exhaustion!
Seriously. I'm loopy and this probably has a lot of problems. I'm gonna sleepy now.
