Chapter Fourteen
"No, no, no..." Lily crouched down by the bushes behind them, searching for anything Jenna left behind.
"I found something!" Remus cried, squatting by the wiring, his head tucked into the leaves. The rest quickly hurried over to see a torn piece of dark blue fabric.
"Honestly, you two are cut from the same cloth," Marlene chuckled, shaking her head rambunctiously.
"What makes you say that?" Remus called from inside the bushes.
"Well, you're so great at finding treasures and stuff, and-"
A great howl pierced the conversation from continuing. Everyone looked up at the moon, a full one. They all turned to speak to each other, but found that Remus was gone. A tuft of fawn fur rested by where is feet where settled.
"They've got him too!" James shrieked, tearing leaves apart to try and find a way through.
"Maybe he's gone to find Jenna." Lily shrugged, putting her body warmer on and crawling into the bush to follow her friends. James and Sirius stood, staring at each other.
"Aren't you her friends?" Marlene cried, before following Lily. Poisonous berries hang from some pointy-looking leaves.
"Pretty sure they're all joking." James said anxiously, staring at the fur.
"Because they think we're gullible, right?" Sirius grinned, taking his seat back at the poolside.
"Yeah. So in five minutes they'll all come out and we'll have a good laugh."
"You think so?"
"Yeah." Five minutes passed painfully: no shuffling or slight movement in the air. Only the rustle of a cloak emitted from inside. It was a wonder why the professors hadn't headed outside by now.

Remus stumbled along the pavement, having just made an agonising transformation. He had first hurried out to find one of his best friends, Jenna, but ended up having a second reason to leave. Tripping onto the highway, he quickly pulled himself up and limped across the road, but stopped quite abruptly.
A body lay on the sideway. Remus Lupin didn't know what to do. He edged closer, then turned it onto its face. Jenna.

A cool breeze swept over the pool, making a wave splash in James Potter and Sirius Black's face. They woke up as quick as a bullet.
"They didn't come back!" James screeched, standing up and running to the bushes.
"James, step back..." Sirius mumbled, his eyes wide as he fell back onto the stone. Remus was limping smartly towards the bushes, the professors following him. Jenna lay limp in his arms.
***
"I do hope she's okay." Marlene mumbled, looking uncomfortably at her feet. Jenna lay unconscious in her bed, she had no idea that she had been hunted by something or someone in the streets outside.
A cool breeze lifted the uneasy silence. The sun was shining through the minute gaps in the window frame. Valentines Day was approaching fast, and the girls were all very awakened at night to talk about their crushes.
