Chapter Five

Jenna was searching for an empty compartment on the train, but each were filled with excited students, first years and seventh years, plus those in-between.

She had reached the end of the train, there was a compartment filled with only two beings: a red-headed girl and a black-headed boy.

"James, I'm telling you, I'm not coming into your compartment! I want to stay with Severus. But now you've made him leave." The red-headed girl would glare at the boy menacingly.

The glare seemed to go right through James. "Okay, okay, I'll g-" he stopped as he had noticed Jenna.

She blushed a deep red and started to leave-

"Wait!"

"I-um- sorry, I was just looking for a compartment..."

"You can stay with me and my friends." James would grin.

The other girl would stare at James, shaking her head. "Are you obsessed with girls or something?" She'd lower her head and her voice as she stared at him disbelievingly.

James chose to ignore this and got up; then said goodbye to the girl and retreated to a compartment near the front of the train.

Jenna immediately recognised most of those whom the compartment consisted of: Remus, Snape and James.

  "Get out!"

"Your stupid friend kicked me out!"

Severus rushed by Jenna, obviously irritated.

"Hey Jenna!" Sirius would grin and wave at her.

"Hi, Sirius." She'd smile back and take a seat beside the window. Remus would be sitting opposite her, a book in his hands. His attire was quite messy, thread was hanging from his sleeves and his jeans looked a little tight for him; he seemed comfortable.

"What are you reading?" She would ask, merely raising a thin eyebrow.

"Uhm," He'd flush a red shade, "j-just my textbooks. Nothing better than studying for the year ahead!" He gave out a nervous laugh.

"Sorry, I-I just wondered." She would kick herself mentally for being so stupid.

"I'm Peter. Peter Pettigrew." A round-faced boy with a small nose announced rather boldly, puffing out his chest. She got the impression that he wanted to impress her. Jenna chose to ignore this and just said a simple "Hello" and a strained smile.

"James Potter. Hopefully the best Seeker in the World!" He'd grin and shake her hand. Jenna smiled back and nodded, despite knowing this already she chose to be polite and pretend that she had not heard this before.

"Best Seeker, hm?" She chuckled.

"Yeah, I mean I am pretty quick." He'd say in a suave way, leaning against the arm of the seat. James would catch the Remembrall Sirius threw to him before it even reached him.

"What is that?" Jenna asked, gazing at the ball that was flashing red.

"A Remembrall. It contains smoke that turns red when its owner has forgotten something. It turns clear once whatever was forgotten is remembered," Remus said quietly, gazing intently at it.

She averted her gaze to see Remus' pale face lit up by the flashing red ball held in James' hands. His eyes were a sea of beautiful brown and beryl. Jenna just realised that he looked worse than he had when they had first met. She was concerned about him, and sometimes wondered why he looked so ill most of the time.
