Today is my first day of middle school in Terrace, twenty hours away from my old home in Hunter.
"Hello everyone we have a new student with us this year." My teacher announces. "Her name is Carmen Billy-do."
"It is Cameron Bilodeau actually." I reply while I enter the class.
"Oh who cares what her name is. is she cute?" One of the boys questioned while everyone else held back laughs. I don't think we will become very good friends is all I could think before...

"Be quiet and be respectful Liam"
Suddenly I'm back to elementary school and there he is. I new he sounded familiar in my head. Anyway Liam was sitting beside me, he has given me a friendship ring in the shape of a heart with three pink jewels in side on my index finger. I am the only one going near him, my best friend and I am smiling.

The teacher is motioning me to find a seat oh hurray I already am falling asleep. I look around and see that the only seat left is next to Liam, oh great I wonder if he recognizes me. Please don't, please don't, oh great he saw me. I see recognition in his eyes and it is gone in one moment and he is smiling like an evil villain.

"So how have you been these last few years" I asked him at lunch.
"Well you ditched me with no friends for 4 years if that is what you mean." he snarled back. I was having a bad enough day and didn't need to here his problems at the moment, and I snapped
"I was moving you loser, I lost things forgot things, I left everything behind. I started a new chapter... just like I am trying I do so now. So do not give me any comments about Fortune. I left a great life behind to come here and who did I find my old friend who has lost his nerve." I was raging and he was just the unlucky one to get in the way.
"sorry" in a very small voice was all he could muster. I was embarrassed but satisfied with what I had just said but, if that is how things must be, then so be it. Liam was about to get shot at in target practice.
