A couple minutes later at the Nakanaka house. Komi is seen in the one piece you bought her and is standing in front of the house shaking.

This is the first time she went to someone's house alone. She's nervous and anxious. But Komi-San will do her best.

Komi walked up got the intercom, but she can't bring herself to push the button. The door suddenly opened as Nakanaka appears in a dramatic pose. "Kuku....so you have come...do come in. SH-SHE REALLY CAME!!"

Nakanaka waited at the entrance the whole time.

"T-These are my chambers..." Nakanaka opened the doors to her room, to reveal a bunch of anime and video game stuff.

Komi-San was intrigued.

"Komi-San is here...in my room... isn't this amazing? The class goddess is in my room...isn't this more than a mere victory?!" Nakanaka shook her head. "N-No, no. I have to entertain Komi-San... J-Just sit anywhere you like..."

Nakanaka never had any friends at her house since elementary school.

Komi sat down on the bed as Nakanaka sat in the chair...but no words were exchanged. "TRANQUILITY...! Ah, right! I'm just at the climax of a game I've been playing! You should watch me!"

Komi nodded as Nakanaka smirked. "Fufu, just look at this game graphics! This is how far the newest games came! Of course, the monitor supports 4K! Behold, these graphics are more beautiful than reality! Isn't it magnificent!? Isn't it gorgeous?! And the story! It has such a profound view of the world, it has the key, yet the script maintains its focus on the characters. As expected from the world renowned Fukazora Shiro! I get it! I so....get it! I just can't stop crying in this last scene..."

"...?" Komi doesn't really understand it.

"Guguguguh...I see! Komi-San is what we call a light user! A commoner!"

In Komi's opinion, it's amazing.

"She'd never get it, even if I show her the latest tech! This is bad... and I was certain she would like it...!" Nakanaka feel to her knees. "At this rate, Komi-San will....l

'What a boring person...' Imaginary Komi is very heartless.

"...Say something like that!! She'll never come to visit again! What should I...!?" Nakanaka started to freak out. "Ah, I should call Najimi and L/n-Chan, it's more fun to play it with others!"

Nakanaka's character completely broke.

You, Tadano, and Najimi suddenly appeared. "You called me and we appeared, duh duh duh duuuuumm"

"Terrible sense of rhythm." Tadano stated.

"We brought Tadano-kun, too!" Najimi exclaimed as Komi looked at you, you seemed tired. "Man, it's so long since I was last here! Not since grade school! It sure has changed..."

'Why do you look so tired?' Komi wrote to you as you scratched the back of your head.

"Sorry, my friends, Shinomiya and Shirogane needed my help with paperwork so I was up all night. I should be fine now." You said with a smile.

"Ee, Ah, Wai-Boys are..." "Why the hell did you call me then?" You questioned Nakanaka.

"I figured. Ok I'm a girls room here..." Tadano understood but you did not.

"It's alright, Tadano and L/n-Kun have weak presences, you see." Najimi said with a smile. "It's like they aren't even here."

"Huh?"

Tadano and Y/n were allowed to stay.

"What shall we play? Do you have any five player games? Ah, Numabros? Do you have Numabros?" Najimi asked as you sat on the bed next to Komi.

"Don't decide on your own." Nakanaka said but still put in the game.

What is Numabros? It's an abbreviation of the super popular game: Super Smash Swamp Pants Brothers! It's a peculiar fighting game with a huge roster, whew instead of having hp, you need to throw off the other players into a swamp to win.

"It was super popular back in elementary school! You all played it, right?" Najimi asked and chose their characters.

"Whom do you think you're talking to?" Nakanaka asked smugly.

"I did play a bit." Tadano said and you looked at the Inexperienced player. She picked hers.

"Yeah, I figured as much." You told Komi the controls.

Najimi: Marimo!

Nakanaka: Louise!

Tadano: Yusshi!

Y/n: Linnik!

Komi: Zeldin!

The game started and Najimi immediately went for Komi. "HYAAHOOO! THE BRAWL HAS ALREADY BEGUN! PREPARE YOURSELF!"

Nakanaka caught the punch and knocked Najimi back. "I will not allow you to touch my friend...!"

"WHA..?!" Najimi said before looking at Nakanaka. "Now you've done it."

"These are your movement buttons." Tadano helped Komi as well. Komi walked to the side. "Yeah, like that."

"And you jump with this one..." You told her but then noticed Komi had walked into a swamp. "KOMI!! JUMP! SPAM THE JUMP BUTTON!!"

Komi started to freak out as Nakanaka and Najimi had a massive duel. "NOW THAT I HAVE SUMMONED KOMI-SAN TO MY CASTLE, I WILL NOT LET HER LEAVE UNFULFILLED!! I WON'T LET YOU FLANK HER!"

"AHAHAHA, HOW NAIVE! YOU HAVEN'T CHANGED A BIT SINCE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL! THE MOMENT YOU DROP YOUR GUARD, YOU WILL BE IN A WORLD OF PAIN!" Najimi replied as they kicked Nakanaka's character down.

"Yeah, that's how it was... back in grade school... but now that I have someone to protect, I WILL NOT LOSE!!" Nakanaka shouted as Najimi gained fire around their fist.

"YOU CANNOT WIN THIS GAME WITH FEELINGS ALONE!!" Najimi shouted as Komi-san's character got out the swamp somehow.

"Ah, if you fall into the swamp, you will get muddy and move slower." You told her and looked at her. "Press R2." Komi punched Tadano. "R2." Komi punched you.

"I'm sorry..." Komi shook as you and Tadano waved it off.

"No, it's fine. That's the kind of game we're playing. Try pressing this one." You showed her which button and Komi got the mud off. "And now you're clean."

Some of the mud went into Najimi's eyes. Komi's character is seen headpatting you as you headpat Tadano's character."?! Is this... a mud slap?!"

A move here you knockdown an opponent by flinging mud when you clean yourself.

"Where do you think you're looking?"

Najimi suddenly snapped back to reality. "CRA-P!"

Najimi lost.

"YAAAAAAAAY! I'VE BEATEN NAJIMI-CHAN!! Ahahaha, did you see that!?" Nakanaka asked Komi as she nodded. But then....

"Pathetic."

Nakanaka got mad and looked to you. "What did you say?!"

The screen shows your character no longer near Komi but in the distance, you were seen with a bow and arrow aimed at a floating ball. You hit it and break it. "Pathetic."

"OH NO!!!" Nakanaka freaked out as you sped towards her as she launched fireballs from her palms. You leaped over two before slicing horizontally making a smokescreen from the smoke of the fireball. "WHERE'D YOU GO!?"

"I thought I told you before..." A bomb is seen when the smoke clears. Nakanaka is too late to get away as it explodes sending her back. A large arrow comes at her from the other direction which hits her bringing her more off the edge. You finally appear, you used your Final Move as Nakanaka flew to you. You swung your sword forward and hit her chest, you pushed your sword inwards before slicing her many times before sending her in the swamp, unable to move. You smirked as Najimi and Nakanaka look in disbelief. "If you want to win, you gotta get through me."

Nakanaka and Najimi continued to challenge Y/n to battles, they did not win a single one.

31st of August. Last day of Summer Break.

Komi is seen in her room before her phone rings. "H....Hello..."

"KOMI-SAN!! L/N-KUN IS IN TROUBLE! COME QUICK! Oh, and bring your summer homework!!" "?!" Najimi shouted over the phone.

Komi soon arrived at Tadano's place where she was told Y/n would be. She rang the doorbell.

Footsteps were heard before the door opened revealing Najimi. "Ah, Komi-San, you came! It's dirty, but please come in, come in!"

"Hey, this is my house." Tadano said to Najimi, you came around the corner.

"Komi...?" You asked as Tadano looked at you.

"L/n, do you mind helping Komi, I need to make sure Najimi-"Yeah, I got it." You interrupted him. Komi started to walk in and you went to close the door, when something stopped it. A door in the door and a hand trying to come in... it was Yamai.

"So Komi-San came to Tadano-kun's house to see L/n-kun, hm...? Ahahaha...no waaaaay. Let me in too~" She said like the Yandere she is. You kicked her back and closed the door. You locked the doors as you heard her complaining. "L/n-kun~!!! You better let me in!! L/N!!! I KNOW YOU CAN HEAR ME!! LET ME IN OR ELSE!! LLLLLLLLL/NNNNNNNNN!!!!!"

Unfortunately, Najimi let Yamai-San in.

"TADAAAAAAAN! This is Tadano's and his little sisters room!" Najimi said as Yamai looked around with pity.

"Living in the same room with your sister in this day and age... so Tadano-kun's parents are poor after all?" "Oi, it ain't like that and what do you mean 'after all'?" Tadano replied to Yamai nasty comment.

"Onii-Chan, you have friends over?" A girl bowed. "Thank you for always taking care of my brother. I'm his little sister, Tadano Hitomi. We share a room, but please do not mind me and enjoy your stay."

"Wh... WHOA...!"

Everyone but Tadano got excited.

Najimi waved. "Hey! Long time no see! It's been a year, right?"

"Ah, Najimi-kun! Eh? Wait, Chan? Which one?" Hitomi was rightfully confused.

"I'm Yamai. Sorry for intruding." Yamai gave a smile.

"Ah, hello!" Hitomi said with a bright smile. "Wow. She's pretty, uh... could she be Onii-Chan's...? So exciting...."

"Oh, I guess it's my turn. I'm Y/n L/n, nice to meet you, Miss Hitomi." You said with a smile.

"N-N-Nice to meet you t-too!" Hitomi couldn't help but blush a little at your smile. "T-This is Gudako-Chan's brother! He's so cool and collected! Not to mention, Attractive! My brother became best friends with him?!"

"................" Komi kept shaking.

"Onii-chan, come with me for a sec." Hitomi took Tadano away for a minute to talk and then came back.

"Gentlemen, that is only one reason I gathered you here today. To accomplish a certain very important mission!!!" Najimi took out a notebook.

'I head that L/n was in trouble...' Komi wrote.

"Me...? Why would I be at Tadano's if I was in trouble?" You asked her as she started to think about it more.

"T'WAS A LIE!!" "?!" Najimi broke the hard truth to Komi.

"Why is she writing instead of speaking?" Hitomi wondered.

"You see... the trust his that I didn't do a single bit of my summer homework whatsoever...." "Yeah, we kind of expected this." Everyone but Hitomi thought.

"Okay! And so! I want you to show me your homework!" Najimi shouted.

"Why are they acting so defiant?" Tadano asked.

"So you're doing it again this year." Yamai commented.

"If you tried, you wouldn't be in this mess." You told them.

"They have no planning ability." Hitomi said as Komi stared at Najimi.

The eyes of someone who can't believe what she's seeing.

"IS IT THAT BAD?!" Najimi questioned. "SO WHAT, SO WAHT! DID YOU GUYS EVEN DO IT?! I WON'T TAKE INSULTS FROM SOMEONE WHO DIDN'T DO IT EITHER!"

"Of course, I finished it." Yamai said.

"I did too." Hitomi added while Komi nodded.

"You're a fool if you didn't." You said as Tadano scratched his cheek.

"Ah, I planned to give it my all and pull an all nighter..." "How normal." Yamai and Hitomi replied.

"Tadano-kun will never betray my expectations." Najimi thought. "Komi-San, let me copy her homework... and the time it'll take to finish all of this would be around 6 hours! It's 1:00Pm right now, and school starts at 8:00 Am tomorrow. So I have about 19 1/2 hours left! Now if I exclude the time I need to eat, sleep, go to the bathroom and reach school... I'm left with 9 hours to work with!! That means I can play for 3 hours!!"

"So for now, let's play a game!" "I bet you just though that it's okay to play for 3 hours. You don't have that kind of time." You scolded Najimi. "Komi, don't lend Najimi your notes. They need to reap what you sow."

"WHAAAAAAAA!?" Najimi was not happy. "L/n, you're an uptight, stingy, sadist bully! But I don't hate that about you!!"

"Well, we have homework to do but, you three can take it easy..." Tadano said to the ones who finished.

'Then, while we're at it, I'm going to be at ogling, Komi-San.' Komi held up a weird note.

"Uh...what...?" You asked her as Yamai started huffing with a blush.

"Then, while we're at it, I'm going to be leering at Komi-San." She said as you so understood who wrote Komi's note. Komi started to shake before Najimi did as well from having to do work.

"...Hey, who was the sixth shotgun of the muromachi bakufu?" Tadano asked as Yamai got annoyed.

"What? You don't even know something like that?" She said as you were seen reading a book with dog ears. The climax of the book was finally starting, the epic battle between the Rock protecter and the Alien Ki user. Komi couldn't help but read too. Without saying anything, you took off one hand off your book and acts like it was falling. Komi immediately grabbed and held the book. She looked at you reading.

Komi-San didn't want to stop Y/n's reading but also wanted to read the book. Y/n knew this very well.

When you saw that Komi was done reading a page, you flipped it. Komi soon realized what you were doing and had the usual stare at you, but you were to engulfed in your book to notice. Komi soi looked back at the book as Yamai glared at you. "Fine, I don't have a choice... I'll teach you."

"...EH?" Tadano said in confusion as Yamai answered his question.

"The sixth shotgun of the muromachi bakufu is Ashikaga Yoshimasa." Yamai explained with a sigh. "You should at least remember that."

"Actually the answer is Ashikaga Yoshinori." You told Tadano as Yamai got a vein in her head.

"In the Japan Ocean Trench, which one is lower, the continental plate or the oceanic plate?" Tadano asked.

"The Continental Plate, duh. Just saying it makes me feel embarrassed." Yamai said as you looked up from the book again.

"It's the Ocean Plate." You said as Komi gained cat ears after being shocked by a human hybrid-demon runs from a slayer full of rage. You quickly flipped the page as Yamai got more angry.

"X^3+64, can you factorize that?" Tadano asked once again.

"(X-4)(X^2+4x+16). You should think a bit by yourself." Yamai pouted and pointed to Tadano.

"It's (X+4) (X^2-4x+16). Yamai, I would check your math if I were you." You said as she started shaking the table.

"S-She is bad at communication, although people often talk to her. Translation..."

"She is very bright, energetic, and is very good with people relations." Yamai said with a shadow over her eyes and a smile.

"Wow, you're dumber than I thought." You said as Yamai started getting up but Najimi pulled her down.

"....so another summer has come to an end. Time sure flies." Najimi said and you nodded.

"Yeah, it sure does." Tadano agreed.

"Man, I did a bunch work though." You said and Najimi waved it off.

"You don't have to do all those jobs anymore." They told you as you shook your head with a sorrowful smile.

"I can handle it by myself. I don't want them anywhere near my heart." You said as Najimi tried to change the subject.

"We sure played a lot, didn't we?!" Najimi asked as Tadano hesitantly agreed.

"But I absolutely did nothing during the first week." Tadano said and you nodded.

"I didn't think anything would happen." You admitted and rubbed the back of you neck and put the book down.

"First we went to the pool! I went 51 times this year!" Najimi exclaimed.

"Eh? More times than there are days of the break?" Tadano questioned and Najimi nodded.

"Yeah, but Komi and L/n had an epic show down, huh?" Najimi said as Komi nodded.

'I felt like a water cowboy.'

"Komi...in a cowboy costume... I'LL PAY TO SEE THAT!" You thought.

"That's the day Komi-San got hurt. Is your knee fine already?" Najimi asked and Komi nodded. "Back then Yamai-Chan and the gang went to scrape off the part of the floor where she tripped..."

"You actually took a picture... wanting to show it to the cops to arrest you?" You asked her as she crossed her arms and glared at you.

"It had it coming. I didn't see you helping." She said and you gained a fire over your eyes. "Still, I haven't done anything wrong. At the least, they'd let us off with a warning."

"You literally kidnapped me." You told her and she had nothing to say back.

"O-Oh yeah, I saw Komi-San once when she was in the library." Tadano said as Komi got surprised.

"Ah, no... I was already on my way back." Tadano said as Najimi started laughing.

"Ah, we also had that job handing out tissues! And here I was thinking that 5000 pieces was impossible." Najimi said and grabbed their drink. "Ah, did you know that L/n was in the costume?"

"?!" Komi was very shocked.

"Yeah. I was burning alive in there. Didn't help that Najimi forced me into that thing." You said as Najimi turned towards Hitomi.

"Hitomi-Chan, did you guys go see your extended family during the Obon?" They asked and Hitomi nodded.

"We did." She said.

"Ah, how old is Akira-Chan?" Yamai asked a very weird question.

'She's a first year middle schooler.' Komi wrote as you looked at Komi.

"Uh...who's Akira-Chan...?" You asked as Komi immediately wondered how Yamai knew about her. "Well, we also went to the festival."

"What did you do with the prize from the candy cutting?" Najimi asked.

"Ah, I forgot to exchange it..." Tadano admitted as Najimi looked at you for help.

"I just ate mine." "WHAT A WASTE!!" Najimi lectured you two.

"But we had a heated battle at Nakanaka-Chan's place, huh!" Najimi said as Yamai glared at you.

"Hmmm....so you went to Nakanaka-san's house." She said as you smirked at her.

"Yep, that's right, Psycho. You never did invite Komi out to play during the summer." You called her out as she gritted her teeth.

"HEY, DON'T SAY THAT...!" She blushed due to being in the presence of Komi. You looked over at Komi to see a sad expression and tears forming in her eyes.

"Komi? What's wrong...?" You asked before Yamai freaked.

'I'm sorry. I'm okay. Well...' She wrote. 'This is the first time I wanted summer break to never end.'

You all smiled as Najimi started crying. "WAAAAAAAAAH! I DON'T WANT IT TO END EITHER! I'M NEVER GONNA FINISH MY HOMEWORK! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!!"

"Get back to work, Najimi." You said as you all continued to work.

New semester. 1st of September. Many students seem to be melancholic on this day. Some despair over the end of summer break...others worry about the environment around them. They may not actually feel this way, but Y/n and Tadano thought to themselves.

"The students at school seem fine..."

You saw people blushing and happy to see Komi like always as everyone. You all were seen at your desk when Najimi brought up something stupid. "Soo, do we have any more classes today? It's the opening ceremony today, so it's a half day, right?! I didn't buy any lunch! So Komi-San, go get me a sabowey turkey avocado sandwich with honey, cheese, lettuce, pickles, lots of olives, no onions, and balsamic vinegar. And make it a combo with chips and a diet cola. And toast the bread."

"?!" Everyone was confused.

"Just go on your own." You glared at Najimi.

"Hahahaha, I'm not bullying her, L/n. But I'm still not done with my summer homework, right?" Najimi said and but their hands together. "C'mon, aren't we friends? Help Najimi-Chan out of a pinch here!"

Komi nodded and soon she left to go to Sabowey. You looked in front of you to see... "There's another girl following Komi...! Wait... isn't that Inaka from our class...?"

Komi started shaking.

Komi-San is nervous about entering Sabowey.

"Do your best, Komi!" You said in your head.

"Woooow~!" Inaka was impressed somehow. "Wow, she's so cool! Komi-sama's just standin' in front of that stylish place... I'd just lose mah cool before I enter! She's so calm an' dreamy-~~"

"I can't help but feel like Inaka is misunderstanding the situation..." You noticed Komi found the resolve to enter. Inaka and Komi entered but both got frightened by the feel of a classy place filled with businessman-like people.

"Welcome! You can take your order over here!" The clerk said as Komi made a tactical retreat to catch her breath. You couldn't watch anymore and decided to head back to the school. Of course, when Komi got back....

"Hey... Komi-San? This...is wrong..." Najimi told her and you sank in your desk.

You sat down at the desk after coming in late again. "Good morning, Komi."

Komi noticed something on your face and immediately started freaking out, as if she was recalling something. "?!"

"Najimi, you didn't deal with this assignment." You smacked them over the head with the book. Komi stared at you. "Najimi, the papers you finished weren't done right."

You then put paper on their desk. "You're the vice chairman, do this correct the first time."

You then saw Komi looking at you. "What's up?"

Komi looked at you before taking out her notebook. 'Call me by my name too.'

"Can you be a little more specific?" You asked jokingly.

'You and Najimi-Chan are friends, so you call them Najimi, right?' She asked with her notebook.

"Don't tell them that." You shivered. "I'd never hear the end of it. So, let me get this straight. You want me..."

'To call me Shouko.'

You blushed. "It's...it's not that like I can't but calling a girl by her first name... is..."

Najimi put their arm on your shoulder. "Hey, hey, Y/n.... So are you saying that Najimi-Chan isn't a girl?" "Shut up."

You flashed back to the pool, but Komi has also called you by your first name too. Maybe it's not so hard, Najimi grabbed Komi's shoulder and smiled. "Shouko..."

Komi got chills down her back. 'What a strange feeling. But it's not bad.'

"Fine... I'll say it." You said as you blushed. Last time it just slipped out because Komi reminded you of 'her'. Not like you'd ever see her again but you hoped she was doing well. "...S...Shou....Komi."

"EHHH?! GROW A PAIR MAN!" Najimi shouted at you as you secretly smirked.

"Okay! Now Komi-San, try calling Y/n by his first name!!" "?!" Komi was taken off guard. "If you want to be called by your first name, then you should say his first name too, right?"

"I can't say anything back...!" You and Komi shouted in your hearts.

"So just say, Y/n." Najimi said as Komi started shaking and held up some paper. "Writing it doesn't count."

"?!" Komi then started to shake with a massive blush. "...Y/...Y-Y/.........L/n..."

"Haaaah, I can't believe you guys." Najimi sighed. "By the way, Y/n, you had something on your face all morning."

"?!"

Najimi was able to say a lot of things.

You were seen walking home with Komi. "So... that was quite the day."

Komi nodded and you both felt awkward a little. You scratched your neck before taking a deep breath. "S...Shouko."

Komi went wide eyed and looked at you blushing. "I think...I can call you that... when it's just the two of us..."

Komi then put her head down before you tried to walk faster. "Y...Y/n. I...I...think...that works...f-for..me........to...."

The two blushed and decided a new pact.

"Testing testing. The weather is nice today." The announcer said. "So without further ado... Let us begin the 23rd Itan High School Sports Festival!"

"VICTORY FOR OUR GODDESS!!" Your class, Class 1-1, shouted as Komi shook.

"It's the sports festival!" Najimi appeared out of nowhere and scared you. "Y/n! Tadano! Komi-San! Its a festival! Come on, show some more energy!!"

"You're just happy because you don't have to study." Tadano called them out.

"...39.2 degrees. Hoh...." A woman wrapped her arm around Komi's shoulder. "Nice heat. Najimi-Chan."

"W-Who...?" You asked as Najimi smiled.

"Ah, Netsuno-paisen, Ciao!" Najimi then ran off to show their spirit.

Netsuno-Senpai is hot blooded.

"So you're Komi-San, right? I'm Netsuno Chika, a second year. Nice to meet ya." Netsuno said to the shaking Komi. Komi was definitely nervous because she was too close. "Your class is... 41.5 degrees. Nice heat."

"Huh?" You asked as Netsuno lifted up Komi's chin.

"Compared to them, you're super cool. 16.9 degrees. Pretty cold." "COLD?!" You definitely weren't keeping up with what was happening.

"I hope you won't be holding your class back." Netsuno started walking away. "See ya."

"Man, what's her deal? I couldn't figure her out at all." You said as aura started creeping out behind you both.

"Eh? What's with that woman? Making Komi-San angry after touching her is certain death. Can I bury her?" Yamai said with angry students behind her.

"Let's just do our best at a normal pace." Tadano suggested, you and Komi nodded.

You looked at Komi with a determined face and a smile. "Hey, if you ever get worried or lose confidence, just look at your friends and clench your fists. That always helps me calm down."

Komi's eyes went wide with realization. She finally remembered who you were. And she blushed massively. "Eh? Komi?
You okay?! Whoa! You're turning bright red!!"

Commentator Aizawa Tsukasa began to explain the sports festival rules. "The better you do in each game, the more points you get! It's a free for all between all students, first years to third years, and the class with the most points wins! The first match is stretches! Our vice principal here will decide who does the stretches most beautiful and grant them 10 points!"

The students did the stretches. "Hm... that's is Netsuno-San from 2-3. Yes, yes, I expected this. Her grand gestures stand out conspicuously. She's channeling her strength to the very tips of her fingers. Ahh, her legs are in great form! Let's see... there are some other good ones but... Netsuno-San really is the..."

She then saw Komi. "AH, NO, KOMI-SAN, 10 POINTS."

"?!" You, Tadano, and Netsuno were confused.

"The next competition is a class v class tug of war tournament!!! The more you win, the more points you get!"

Yamai ran up to Komi. "Komi-San! You could hurt your hands in the tug of war, so here, gloves! And if you fall, it could leave a scar on your beautiful legs, so here, pants! You also wouldn't like sand getting into your eyes, so here, googles! You hair could get tangled with the rope, so here...!"

"YOU MADE HER LOOK LIKE THE TERMINATOR!!" You shouted at overprotective Yamai. You help Komi take off the equipment Yamai had put on.

"EVERYONE, LET'S GIVE IT OUT ALL!"

Everyone was pulling as one unit yelling stroke every time they pulled, but then it changed to Komi-San. But then it was revealed to be Yamai with an ahegao face. "AHAAAH, KOMI-SAN! IF YOU PRESS AGAINST ME TOO HARD, I'LL...!"

They lost in the first round because several of them lost their strength.

"The next event is the big jump rope! The number of times you skip the rope is the number of points you'll get!!"

"Alright, here's how we win this thing." You told the group as everyone crouched down to actually listen to you for the first time this year. "First, we put the tallest person in the middle! Then, the people in the middle jump at a different pace compared to the ones outside. This doesn't work if we aren't compact! Then, after all that's said and done, we all need to match our timing!"

"That's pretty good coming from you." Yamai said.

"That means nothing when you say it." You told her as you all moved on with the plan. You all got in a big circle, holding each other, as Komi was in the middle.

"IN OTHER WORDS, LIKE THIS!!" Everyone except, Tadano and Komi shouted. Soon enough, though...!

"1! 2!....19! 20!...99! 100!" The commentator counted as time passed.

"WE GOT 100 POINTS!! WE'RE FIRST!!" The class shouted and held you up.

"How long are you gonna be nice to me?" You had to ask.

"Until the festival's over." Most said, you shrugged it off.

"I figured. LET'S GOOO!!!!" You shouted as the class shouted along with you.

"43 degrees... nice heat!" Netsuno said as Tadano was in shock.

"How did they manage to jump 100 times with that kind of set up?!" He questioned.

"It's the same year mixed gender obstacle relay!! Further more, in this game our teachers will grant bonus 'Artistic' points based on their judgement!"

Horse obstacle. Agari was up first. "Fueeee.... I'm slow but I'll give it my all...! F-For Komi-San! Woof!"

Bread eating obstacle, Agari leaped in the air as her boobs shook around. The male judges raised the 10 points. "WHOA! Class 1 gained a lot of points here! But class 1 has fallen behind! You can hear the voices of disappointment from the guys in the audience!"

Agari passed the relay stick to Nakanaka. "Kuh... why must I make an exhibition of myself like this... this so called sports festival was a mistake to begin with! Is this event where unathletic people like myself are looked down upon necessary for our education? Nay! ABSOLUTELY NOT!... well, let's just proceed casually until the e-..."

"T-This is...! I have to stick my face in potato starch!!" Nakanaka felt dread. "I-if I do this, I'll just become a laughing stock...do your job PTA!!"

Nakanaka then looked at Komi in the  crowd. She swallowed her pride and took off her eyepatch in a desperate manner. "..SO BE IT! BY MY DRAGON FORCE, I SHALL PART THE SEA OF POTATO STARCH AND FIND THE CANDY!!"

Nakanaka was making her way to you as you got ready to run. "This should be no sweat for me. I'm the fastest kid in this school."

You then looked around and your heart stopped. You felt yourself breaking. You saw your parents... watching you with your sister. "W-Why...? W-Why are they here? Did..Did I do something wrong...?! I didn't ask for them...! I didn't ask them to be here...! I didn't even tell them about it...! So why...?! Why?! They think this will make up for what they've done to us!? It's too late!!"

Your eyes looked hollow and your started to wobble on your feet. The class noticed, Najimi looked at your face. "W-What happened to Y/n...?"

"His face...it looks like he's dead..." Tadano pointed out your hollow eyes. Even Yamai got worried, the fire in your eyes that always had Whitty comebacks was gone.

"He was fine just a minute ago! If he loses this now...!" Yamai was worried in her own way. Komi looked over the the audience to see your parents and remembered meeting you a few years ago.

"I'm such a fake...a liar..." You said as you remember the past.

'How'd you know I was bad at speaking with others?'

"The one who wasn't good at socializing wasn't my sister... it was me."

"See you next time, Y/n!" Your boss said to you. You started to shake and he got scared and turned around. You wanted to tell him thank you but couldn't. Instead you just walked out silent, but it's not like you could control it.

Y/n L/n is bad at communication.

You looked down in your hands to see your paycheck for the month. It was a lot, pretty normal seeing as though you did a bunch of jobs to make sure that Gudako could go to school. You felt a few drops on your head and looked in the sky. The rain was forming and you soon ran to a nearby 24-hour market and sat down under the covers, trying to keep the paycheck as dry as possible. Soon, your phone ringed and you saw that Gudako had a half day, so she was letting you know so you could pick her up. You hanged your head and got up. You put your check in your pocket and started walking down the street, with rain pouring down your face. When soon...

"You're so dramatic sometimes, Silent-Chan." An umbrella came over your head. The one holding the umbrella was Shuuko. "What are you doing out here again?"

[I'm not scared of many things, but that woman terrifies me. She somehow found out about my jobs and made sure I was okay after each one.]

You tried to walk faster to escape her but you were only in middle school, and you weren't escaping her that easy. "Ah, ah, ah. Are you on your way to Gudako's school? You'll get a cold if you walk there."

"I...d...n't...an...ther..ay..." You muttered out as Shuuko understood.

"Well, I could give you a ride." She offered and you shook your head. Shuuko sighed and forced you in her car. After driving in silence for a little bit, Shuuko decided to bring something up. "You know, you always keep your head down when you run. You won't see better, I can guarantee that."

You didn't say anything and kept looking out the window from the passenger seat. "You know why I help you?"

You shook your head. "Well, it's not just because your my best friend's son. It's because you have the right to be treated as normal and acknowledged as such."

"It doesn't help that you can't talk well. I wonder how your able to do any jobs like that." Shuuko said but then got an idea. "What about you go to the library?"

"I'm sure it's got ton of ideas on how to talk better." She said as the scene cuts to you picking out some books at the library and sitting down. You read some as time seems to slow down.

[I remember, I wanted to read more, and be able to speak normally so that when they came back... they would see that we're fine without them. "Y/NNNNNNNN!!!" You heard a voice that snapped you out of your trance. You looked over at Komi who had a determined look after looking at your hollow face. "PLEASE DO THE BEST THAT YOU CAN DO!!"

She clenched her hands and everyone was shook that she shouted. You shook you head and punched yourself in the face. After you looked up to the sky to see a drop land on your forehead and clenched your hands. "Yeah, it was always you, Komi."

You looked up to see Komi reading books as well. She kept looking at your books and you decided to slide one over to her and picked up another communication book.

Nakanaka passed you the relay stick and you smiled at her. "You did good, Malto."

"Hehehe, go for it, Crimson Demon God, L/n..." Nakanaka passed out and you quickly caught her and put her on her back and wiped off the potato starch off her face.

"GO FOR IT, Y/N!!" Najimi shouted.

"SHOW US WHAT YOU'VE GOT!!" Tadano shouted as well and soon the class was cheering you on. You smiled and looked forward at the finish line.

"You guys...!" You started sprinting and left a huge gust of wind behind you. "I think I wanted... to depend on my parents... but I just can't... not until they prove that they care... I guess..." You looked at your parents and your sister with smiles cheering you on. You gained a determined look. "I guess this is a nice start..."

"I'M NOT LOSING THIS ONE!!! MOVING FORWARD!!!!" You shouted as you sped past everyone in a matter of seconds!

"CLASS 1-1 TAKES THE WIN!!"

You smiled brightly as Netsuno patted you on the back. "100 degrees. You're scourging hot."

"Huh...?" You wondered as the class picked you up. "Whoa!"

"Way to go, Y/n!" Najimi shouted as you all started to smile. You and Komi looked at each other, knowing who the other really is now, you both blushed and clenched your fists with smiles. When suddenly, the rain flowed into the field.

"ITS A SUDDEN DOWNPOUR!!"

The class rushed to the covers. When a voice was heard. "My~, it really came down~~"

Shuuko is seen under your classes covers. "Hopefully it'll stop soon."

"K-KOMI-SAN SPOKE AGAIN?!" The class was confused as Komi was freaking out.

"Hm! Oh, it's her mom." Najimi told the class as Shuuko bowed.

"Hello. I'm Shouko's mother, Shuuko." She then sticked her tongue out and winked. "Thanks for all getting along with Shouko!"

"SUUUUUKO-SA~N!!!" The class cheered but Komi blushed and pushed Shuuko away.

The class got depressed. "Eeeeeh, but I came all the way here to cheer for you and Y/n!.,. They're all good kids, aren't they?"

Komi nodded and Shuuko looked her daughter in the eye. "So, do you remember who your library buddy was?"

Komi started to blush again and wave her hands all over the place. "Hahahah! ALRIGHT EVERYONE, SHOW ME FIGHTING SPIRIT!!"

"YEEEEAH!!!" The class shouted as Komi was shook. Shuuko walked over to you as you took a step back. She then shuffled your hair as the dog ears came back up.

"Nice job, Y/n." She said as you actually smiled at her.

"Right." You said as she walked away. And soon...

"The first game in the second half is a scavenger race! You get 5 points if you reach the end with the correct item!"

"L/n...L/n-kun...err... I know it's a lot to ask for but... your jacket..." Agari said as her item was a boy's jacket.

"Sure, here." You said.

"Tadano-kun, can you lend me a bit of your hair?" Yamai said to him as she needed a strand of hair.

"Uh, if I lend it to you, I can't take it back... I don't mind though...." Tadano said as Komi made it over to you. She didn't say anything and blushed after remembering she yelled your first name. You remembered too and blushed as well. Eventually Komi pointed to her head.

"It's my headband, right?" You asked her and she nodded. Najimi then ran over with a large smile.

"Y/N! GIVE ME YOUR SHOE!! OH, AND A 1000 YEN!" "I'm not giving you either." You told them.

"An all school-student musical chairs game! All 452 students will try to take one of the 100 chairs in the field! Each student that takes a chair will get 1 point for their class!"

The music started and soon stopped. "HERE YOU GO!!"

Everyone offered their chairs as the event continued until...

"And we're reaching the climax of this sports festival! Let's go to the final competition! THE CLASS RELAAAAAAAAY!!" The commentator said. "Each class will choose 4 people to represent them! The class that comes in first gets 100000000 points!!! Every class still has a chance!!"

"Variety shows are weird nowadays." You thought as Netsuno put her hand out.

"Who would have thought I'd be battling you in the finals? I'm looking forward to it." Netsuno said as Komi was about shake hands when Netsuno retracted hers. "Hmm... you are cold after all. But I don't plan on losing."

Komi started shaking but soon Yadano came rising to Komi with a weird face. "67.3 degrees."

Komi and Netsuno both got the relay stick. "Classes 1-1 and 2-3 passed their batons now at almost the same exact time!!! Fast! Fast! So fast!!! The top two are leaving the rest of the runners in their dust!!!"

"Even though you're so cold, you're doing well, Komi-San. Alright.... I'll show you my full 100 degrees!" Netsuno said as Komi's feet went to the side. She fell over and you could hear everyone gasp, if anyone cared about looking at you, your face showed more worry than anyone there.

"Ooooooooooh! 1-1 just fell down!! Did the track get slippery because of the rain awhile ago?!"

Komi had dirt all over her face and the relay baton was far away from her. Komi held her shoulder and tilted her head down. But then... "SHOUKO!!!!!!"

Her head sprung up after hearing your voice. She looked at you as you had a smile and a determined look. You clenched your hands in front of her. "DON'T GIVE UP!!!"

"KOMI-SAAAAAAAN!! DO YOUR BEST!!" The class cheered her on right after you. Komi clenched her fist and got up. She quickly scooped the baton and started to pass people.

"?! Komi-san got up!!! 75.6 degrees!!" Netsuno said as Komi almost passed her, but Netsuno crossed first. "Sorry about calling you cold. I saw your 120 degrees!! You're piping hot!!"

"First place: 2-3!! The winner is class 2-3!!"

"Next year, we're..." Netsuno said but then noticed you with the med kit as the class started rushing to you. Yamai kicked you in the back.

"KOMI-SAAAAN!!! ARE YOU OKAY?! ARE YOU HURT?!" The class asked as you got pushed to the outside with Netsuno.

"They care more about her than they did about the result... huh..." You looked over at Netsuno to see her face pouring with tears. "Dwo handred degreef... what good komradef...!! Hauu!"

Komi looked at you with the med kit and tried to walk out. "Eh? What's wrong, Komi?"

She continued to walk until she got to you, you turned your head at her with a smile. "Oh, hey. I got you a med kit, Tadano thought it would be best for me to do it rather than him. But great work out there, you really-"

"?!" The class was shocked as the med kit dropped as Komi hugged you. And the class was pissed at you again. You were trying not to die of embarrassment.

"Uh-Wha-I...What's wrong?! A-Are you okay?!" You freaked out as Komi shook her head in your shoulder. "Is this her way of... thanking me?"

Left with no other choice, you hugged her back. But then you saw Shuuko's teasing face in the crowd and immediately stopped. Soon... "Second place, Class 1-1. Your gallant efforts are praiseworthy."

"Komi-San is trembling..."

"She must be frustrated after all...."

She's trembling because every student is paying attention to her.

Nakanaka was surprised and pointed at you. "Fu, fuhahaha! L/n, you might be good at reading minds, but you can't mine that has evolved past humanity!!!"

"Aren't you just trying to trick someone, under the premise that they can read minds? Let me guess, you thought 'You can read my mind, huh' right? Everyone does it once." You told her as she was surprised.

"HOW DID YOU KNOW?!" She asked but then she suddenly felt embarrassed,

"You want to know how Komi feels...?" You asked her during gym.

"...That's right." Nakanaka said and soon got cocky again. "I am Komi-san's sworn friend, thus it is only obvious I would want to understand Komi-san's feelings. So I wanted to ask a god like yourself because you can read minds."

Something grabbed your shoulder and you looked behind the volleyball net to see Yamai grabbing you. "You'll tell me...about your methods, too...!" "I hate you so much."

"Then... let's try and guess what Komi is thinking in different situations." You said as Yamai smiled.

"Oh, that's actually kind of interesting, in spite of it coming from you." She said as you glared at her.

"I'm going to kill you later." You threatened her as the teacher spoke.

"It's about time to wrap up so put away the balls." Komi tried picking up the ball but people picked them up for her. Yadano ran in taking a ball before Komi could pick it up.

"This one's pretty easy. What is Komi thinking?" You asked as Yamai glared at you.

"Are you making fun of me, L/n? That's easy." She then held up a whiteboard. "IT'S THIS!!"

'I'm done bothering with this, Yamai-Chan, where are you~~?'

"No, it's not. Where'd you get that whiteboard?" You asked as Nakanaka held up her whiteboard.

Komi's full of feelings of regret.

"Was that really true?" Yamai crossed her arms and glared at you.

"I'm positive. And even if I was wrong, it wouldn't be yours." You said as you watched Najimi come up to Komi.

"Komi-San, lend me your dictionary~! I forgot to translate the book from classical to modern Japanese...could you show me your notes?" Najimi said and Komi gave the book to them. 10 minutes passed as Najimi was seen laughing with some friends.

"Alright, girls. What about this?" You pointed to Komi.

"Well, of course." Yamai started to say.

'If you wanna talk, give me back the dictionary.'

"Wrong. But I will commend you, I would say the same thing." You said as Nakanaka smirked.

'They are talking so it's hard to approach them...'

"That is actually pretty close, but no." You said as you looked at the shaking Komi. "The correct answer is 'are they gossiping about me?'"

"AAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!" Yamai and Nakanaka were surprised.

"Ahh, a rainbow! A big rainbow appeared!"

"!" Komi looked on as the class looked outside.

During Home Economics... The teacher gave out the instructions. "Make these with your group."

"Komi-san, go wash the vegetables!" Najimi said as Komi did so. Soon she started to shake.

"What is she thinking now?" You asked them.

"It's this!" Yamai held up a whiteboard. 'She's thinking about the next step.'

"No, it's this." Nakanaka held her whiteboard. 'She doesn't know what the next step is.'

"Ha? Komi-San is good at cooking." "A? Hell if I know." Nakanaka and Yamai were about to fight.

"The correct answer is 'She's still thinking about the rainbow.'" You told them, Komi still didn't see it in the end.

"She's still engrossed with it...!!" Yamai and Nakanaka were shocked. As the day went on, you all kept guessing. Soon you stood above the two with your arms crossed

'What are you doing?' She asked.

"Eh..." Yamai started freaking out. "Wh-What, you say... what are we?"

"W-We just happened to bump into each other along the way and we were walking together!!" Nakanaka lied poorly. "D-DON'T GET IT WRONG!"

"Ye-YEAH, RIGHT!"

'I noticed that you were watching me for some time. And that you were having fun talking to each other.'

"We're done for....!" Yamai and Nakanaka held each other. "She's mad...! SHE'S DEFINITELY MAD....!"

"I guess I'll take the blame." You sighed and looked at Komi. "We didn't really do..."

But then you saw her face.

She wants in, too.

You smiled at her. "Alright, that settles it. Let's go grab some tea, I'm thirsty."

"WHY?!" Yamai and Nakanaka were confused. But Komi nodded. "SHE'S GOING!?"

"Th-Then at least let me treat you!!"

"Please let me treat you!!"

Komi started shaking. 'There's no need to treat me. Please stop fighting.'

"...Okay." The two women agreed on something.

Komi is seen sitting at her desk as you start packing up. You looked at her as she stayed still. "Hm? Komi, are we not going home?"

"!" Komi slammed her notebook on the desk. 'I heard that this photo booth thing has been getting popular recently.'

"Right.... TWENTY YEARS AGO ISN'T LATELY!!!" You thought as you remembered something. "Wait... I think I remember something about that a couple days ago."

'Yeah, when we were on our way to school, I heard about this photo sticker.' Komi wrote.

"I can't believe people are still going that..." You thought as Komi continued.

'I was wondering what it was so I looked it up, and found you can get them a 'photobooth', and I got really interested.' She wrote and she looked at you, expecting something again.

"...You want to go." You confirmed with her and she nodded. "...Do you want me to come?"

She gained cat ears and nodded, getting excited that you actually got it right. "We over head your story!"

You looked up to see Tadano and Najimi. You fake gasped. "It can't be!"

"The sticker harvester Najimi and their assistant, Tadano, are on the scene!!" Najimi claimed as Tadano looked at them.

"Huh? What? Can you say that again?" He said as another figure approached.

"Hmmm? You're going to take photo stickers?" Yamai rested her hand on her face in a creepy way. "And leave me behind?"

"Y-YOU'RE THE EXTREME HEAPER YAMAI!!" Najimi shouted as you sighed.

"If we're going, then let's go." You said and soon enough, after school, you all made your way to a photobooth. You looked at a keychain of a black cat. You looked to your left to see Komi looking at a dog keychain. "Ah! Komi, let's go, we're falling behind!"

Komi rushed behind you as her eyes started glittering. You told her, "I bet you didn't see that coming. Many booths to choose from. C'mon, let's go take some."

You and the gang stepped in a booth. "Choose the frame you like! How would you like your picture taken? Refreshing and beautiful skin mode?"

"Komi-san's skin is already pretty so there no point in picking this one." Najimi stated to Komi's shock.

"Google big eyes Mode?" The computer asked.

"Komi-San already has big eyes, so she might turn out to be an alien!" Najimi said once again to Komi's confusion.

"Full-body long-leg model mode?" The computer asked as Komi started shaking.

"Komi-San already has long legs so if they're too long it'll look wer..id.....hm?" Najimi was unsure what to do.

"THERES NOTHING TO PICK FOR KOMI!!!" Tadano said and you looked at your wallet.

"Alright, we'll just try many modes." You told the group and they agreed.

"First a cute one! Are you smiling?"

Everyone but Komi put a peace sign up.

"Super irritating face!"

Everyone but Komi made an irritating face as Tadano was embarrassed. Komi had no idea what to do.

"Oh, it's snowing?"

You and Tadano looked up to the ceiling as Yamai and Najimi raised their hands in the air.

"And last, a friendly weird face!"

You and Tadano pulled your faces and Yamai and Najimi pushed in their faces. Soon you all stepped out.

"You can use the drawing space on the right!"

"We can doodle on the stickers here!" Najimi explained to Komi.

"Draw what you like, Komi-San!" Yamai said but Komi froze.

She doesn't know what she should draw.

"Don't over think it, Komi." You told her with a smile. "You could write whatever you want. The date, a message, a greeting."

"50 seconds left!"

"......?!?........?!?......?!?....?!" Komi started freaking out as you put more time in.

"Entering bonus time! The countdown has stopped! We can send 3 stickers you like to your phone! Type in your address!"

Everyone but Komi finished because she thought she would get more bonus time.

"Times up! You can get your picture outside!" "?!?!?!"

"Ahahaha, it's okay, I'll send them to you later." Najimi offered as you all looked at the picture. "THEY'RE DONE!!"

You and Najimi saw one where Komi gained even more big eyes. Najimi starts bursting out in laughter. "AHAHAHAHAHAHA!! THAT'S....THAT'S AWFUL....!!!!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!"

"Can I laugh?" You and Tadano wondered. The rest of you looked at the photo until Yamai's nose started bleeding.

Onemine went right to Komi's ear. "Sorry for getting in the way of you two yesterday. I'll be rooting for you both."

"Yeah?" You asked her. Komi is seen on the couch in her blanket.

"Would you mind if we talked... for a little longer?" She asked as you smiled.
