Komi is seen sitting next to her father at the dinner table, her father was reading the newspaper. "Sweeet potatoes!"

A man outside called as Komi was interested, but was fidgety. Her father slipped her some money. "!"

Komi got on a jacket and rushed out the door, she quickly looked for the van as she saw it down the road. The kind old man thought he saw a ghost when he only saw the large eyes. He stopped and saw it was just a girl, and not a ghost. Komi got tired from running as the old man wanted to know if she wanted a sweet potato, but Komi unintentionally shakes her head sideways. The old man drove on as Komi started to panic, not knowing why she shook her head. She tried to follow the man, but when he went to look at her, she looked away. A red light, green light situation. The old man eventually got out and wanted to know how many she wanted. She first raised one finger, then two, then all five. Komi properly paid and wonder if five was too much... humming a tune that Y/n was the other day. The cold wind blew across her face but her steamy potatos made it all better.

Earlier, Y/n was seen at a restaurant, but it wasn't really a restaurant, it was more like a fast food place. Y/n looked at his friend, "So you got stuck with the late shift, Kana?"

"Yep, this Ichikawa's not a too used to this yet." Kana said as she looked at Y/n, who started to walk home. "You sure you gonna be okay by yourself?"

"Hm, yeah, I think I'll manage. After all, it's no fun if I after pretend to be weaker than I am outside of school. I get to let lose and show off my own fitness. Don't worry about me." Y/n said as he waved goodbye. He then started to run super fast and in a quick manner, thinking to himself. "Hard to think just a couple years back I was silent as Komi. Should I tell her that...no...she probably remembers from long ago."

"!" Komi saw Y/n as they walked pass each other.

"Hm? Oh, evenin' Shouko. What are you doing out here this late?" Y/n asked with a smile and his hands on his pockets. Komi looked at him, before then looking at her own clothes, covering her face in embarrassment with the bag. "Mmm, that smells good. Sweet potatoes are nice, but it's getting darker. We should probably walk you home."

"!" Komi shook her head.

"Oh, you don't want me to come?" Y/n asked as Komi shook her head but nodded as well, confused. "It's alright, I understand. I should invite her to hang out, I've got nothing planned over winter break...I like hanging out with Shouko... AS..as what though...WHAT KIND OF QUESTION IS THAT!? DON'T OVER THINK THIS!! But...if I do invite her, I'd have to make sure I plan everything."

There was a silence before Y/n started to walk away, "alright then, I'll see you later. GAH-! SAY IT BEFORE YOU GET TOO FAR!!"

Komi pulled on his jacket as he turned around, looking to see a sweet potato wrapped up. She put it in Y/n's hand, "oh, you're giving me one. Thanks, I'll make sure to enjoy it."

Y/n then feels the warm and blushes a bit. "Hey...let's hang out sometime over winter break. I don't mind if it's just the two of us either."

Komi nodded as Y/n smiled, turning around again. "Alright, thanks for the potato. I'll catch you later!"

And so winter break began.

Communication Disorder.

December 24th, Christmas Eve

A day when everyone would get excited partying with their lovers, families, and close friends.

People with this problem, even though they don't really have any plans, usually wouldn't be able to organize Christmas parties on their own.

Komi is seen laying in her desk, looking at the calendar bored, she then gets up and started to walk away when she flinched at her cell phone going off. She picks up the phone and puts it to her ears. She soon hears Najimi's voice, "we'll be having a party at Komi-san's place on the 24th(today), so everyone, make sure to but some presents for the exchange! The budget is over 2000 yen!"

Later that day,  Komi got restless after she got her gifts so she waited outside. "Komi-San! Merry Christmas!!"

The whole gang ranging from Onemine to Nakanaka was here, right in front of Komi's house. "AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!"

There was a big pause, before Najimi looked at her, "...hm? Komi-San, your birthday is on the 25th, right? It said so in my contact book..."

Y/n smiled at her, "it's a day early but we hope you enjoy the surprise all the same."

Komi bowed with her notebook, 'Tomorrow is my birthday. Thank you very much.'

"Ah, thank goodness." Najimi said before giving Komi a big black cat stuffy. "And here's a birthday present for you!"

Komi held it as everyone went inside but Y/n and Tadano stayed with Komi. Tadano was worried, "...she doesn't seem to happy."

Having a communication disorder...

Y/n simply shook his head at Tadano with a smile. Tadano was confused until Komi hid her embarrassment and sunk into that cat plush.

Means that when you get surprised, you have no idea what face you make.

"Let's sent them thank you mails later." Tadano said as Komi nodded.

"Sure." She surprisingly said. And after it all, she really sent the mails.

Y/n looked at his phone. "Wow, so formal."

Earlier that day.

Y/n is seen sitting with a orange haired woman as she gets a drink. "I don't know Koboyashi. I mean, I said I'd invite her but... couldn't it have just been out of respect. Maybe she felt like she had to."

"I think you're overthinking this, then again, I'm not sure you should be asking me." Koboyashi told the boy as the boy sighed. Koboyashi then remembered something, "oh yeah, didn't you say her birthday was on Christmas?"

Y/n nodded, "yeah; it's only the 24th though."

"And tomorrow is...?" Koboyashi tried to help him.

"The...25th..." Y/n immediately pulled out his phone. "TADANO!! NAJIMI!!"

The group is then seen at the mall. Najimi waved to Y/n and Tadano. "Yahoo! Tadano, Y/n!"

"I though you used my last name?" Y/n asked as Najimi pouted.

"By Tadano used your first name, and I've known you for longer!" Najimi brought up a fair point.

"Yeah, I guess you're right. I'll allow it." Y/n says as Najimi fist bumps through air.

"Oh yeah! I've contacted Komi-San and I've brought everyone." Najimi says as they all wave. "The only one I couldn't get in touch with was Yamai-Chan. And it's Komi's birthday too."

"That is weird." Tadano says.

"No matter! Let's just go!"

"Found her. Unfortunately." Y/n said as he looked at Yamai determining Komi's size in a different store.

"She's already here...!" Tadano was shocked.

"She probably found out Komi's birthday and tried to get a head start." Y/n guessed as Najimi latched onto her.

"Yamai-Chan, you were here too!" Najimi said as Yamai was angry. "Are you out shopping?"

"...Yeah! What are you all gathered for?" She lied and made a big smile.

"So people can make sweet smiles while telling big lies." Tadano thought as Najimi looked around.

"So we're all here now, right? So let's start then! The present death game...!" Najimi said as everyone else was confused. "The rules are simple! This one whose present makes Komi-San the happiest wins! The budget is around 5000 yen! Alright scatter!"

"That seems a bit much." Y/n whispered but they all scattered. Y/n and Tadano walked around together as Y/n looked at him. "Hey, what about that?"

"Hm?" Tadano said as he looked at the cat plushy, he then looked at Y/n's dog ears and tail wagging while looking at it. "You're interested in this? Hmm, but the price is 8000 yen."

Tadano looked at Y/n while Y/n put his hands in his pockets and looked to the side. "5000 per person...I think Komi would find that too expensive, especially if we're also gonna by Christmas presents."

"So how about we make it a present from all of us? That would solve it, right?" Tadano asked as Y/n nodded. "Alright, let's grab this thing and go."

Y/n picked it up as it seemingly wrapped around its neck, a cat resting it's head on a dog with its arm around its neck. Y/n smiled in the warmth as he looked at Tadano. "Hey, Tadano."

"Yeah?" He asked as they walked back.

"You mind taking credit for this? I'll owe you one." Y/n said as Tadano laughed.

"Sure. And I'll hold you to that." Tadano said as they came to the meeting place.

"Time's up! What did you buy?" Najimi asked.

"Me first!" Yamai's choice. "I knew about Komi-san's birthday since before summer began. And ever since then...the only thought in my mind was my present for her. A handmade cake...a statue of Komi-san's...erotic underwear... I was thinking about it a lot."

"They're all good for nothing." Tadano thought to himself.

"Yet none of them were perfect...but then, I saw a sliver of light in the darkness. Something I really wanted to give to Komi-San. Something filled with my feelings..." Yamai's body was suddenly wrapped in ribbons. "THAT'S ME! IT'S PRICELESS!"

"Please don't bring something so goddamn worthless right in the beginning." Y/n bluntly told her.

Nakanaka got her a prepaid game, only for 5000 yen. "Fufufu! I got her this! It's the era of internet society! Of course you need some electronic funds."

"Ahahah, you shouldn't the giving that to a girl." Yamai said.

"YOU'RE THE ONLY PERSON I DON'T WANNA HEAR THAT FROM!" Nakanaka shouted.

"I guess I'll give her this." Onemine said as her got 2kg of pickles plums.

"Pickled plums?" Tadano asked.

"They're good, they don't rot, and you can eat them everyday." Onemine brought up good points...but... for someone's birthday...?

"Hmmmm...." Y/n hummed.

"Eh? It's a no?" Onemine was a bit saddened.

"Mines this." Yadano's choice was proteins 2kg. "I need her to build her body so that she's always prepared to battle me. Oh, I am so benevolent; I'm even helping my enemy!"

"Yeah, good for you, not her." Y/n voiced his disapproval.

"I got this!" Najimi's choice was vanilla ice cream 2kg. "Now she doesn't need to worry about food her whole life!"

"You can get at least 2 more kilos." Tadano told Najimi.

"Ice cream is too cheap." Y/n added.

"I-I got this boooook!" Agari choice a... 'excited dog's set' with treats, collars, leash...you name it.

"This book is full of your own horny desires. This never would've been okay." Y/n voiced his blunt opinion as his dog ears perked in anger.

"I got this!" Otori choice and Oil timer.

"Oh, it's one of those things with a weird name you can buy at a souvenir shop!" Najimi shouted.

"Thissss it's so funnnnyyyof you keep looking at ittttt for some reason the day will endddd." Otori was clueless.

"Why would you give her that?" Y/n and Tadano were both concerned.

"We couldn't...think of anything..:we're sorry!" The three stooges said.

"It's okay, I understand how you feel." Yamai said as Y/n and Tadano were confused by the aura.

"What's with this aura?" Y/n and Tadano asked.

"THE TIME IS NIGH AND I'VE COME AGAIN! NAJIMI'S CHOICE IS THIS!!" Najimi's second choice was a dancing Santa figure.

"Nobody would ever want that." Y/n, Tadano, and Yamai all said at once.

"WHAT, WHAT! WHY'RE YOU TWO BEING SO PICKY ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE'S PRESENTS!!" Najimi shouted at Y/n and Tadano. "IF YOU TWO ARE GONNA SAY ALL THAT, THEN SHOW US WHAT YOU TWO PICKED!"

"I don't know if it's good but..." Tadano and Y/n's choice was a 160cm cat plushie.

"WOOOW! It's so huge and cute! You chose something good for a 'Tadano and Y/n'." Najimi shouted and hugged it.

"What do you mean 'good for us'?" Y/n asked as Najimi looked at the price.

"Hm? But this price..." Najimi started.

"I know, it's really expensive. So how about we make it a present from all of us?" Tadano asked. "5000 yen per person is a but much, I think Komi-Sam would find that too much, considering we're also going to be buying Christmas presents. So I thought it was a nice idea... what do you say?"

"Normal." Everyone pointed at him, "but sure why not? It's cute so I'm okay with it."

Tadano smiled as Y/n nodded at him, Tadano waved his hand. Najimi looked at them. "Then it's decided, we're getting this cat! I wonder if Komi'll like it?"

"..wait... if I can get inside that cat, I can actually be next to...goodness...my genius..it almost knows no bounds." Yamai thought as Y/n couldn't take anymore.

"Knock it off." He chopped the top of her head.

"Ow!" She said as she glared at Y/n.

"Nice save, Osana." Y/n smiled at her, "it's a day early but we hope you enjoy the surprise all the same."

Afterward the party, Komi sent mails and everyone smiled about how formal they were.

Komi is seen sleeping peacefully before she wakes up, looking at the window and opening the curtains. As if something or someone was calling her, she looked at the winter wonderland before a snowball hit her window. She flinched as the cat ears came out, she got worried before she saw Y/n tossing a snowball in his hand with dog ears. It seemed Tadano was scolding him while Najimi was waving to Komi. Komi soon rustled and rushed to get her winter clothes on and went outside to hang out with the others. But by the time she gets out of the house, she sees Najimi and Y/n shaking Tadano who was on the ground sleeping. Komi thought he was dead before Najimi explained that they woke up at 3:00 am to find it was snowing. Najimi then proceeded to grab Y/n at 4:00 to play as 5:00 they grabbed Tadano. Now it was 6:00 and grabbing Komi.

Tadano was sleeping standing up as Najimi pointed towards the pure snow. She pushed Komi forward as the group was confused. She went to the other side as Tadano woke up. Y/n meanwhile made a tiny snowman with tiny dog ears and put it on her wall ledge. Najimi got inspired and suggested making a big one. Tadano and Y/n made the head while Najimi and Komi made the bottom, but it broke. Najimi started listing the things that they could use as Y/n ran to get some. Komi saw a hand made out of snow rise from the ground, made of course by Najimi. Soon it was complete and Komi was impressed, snapping a ton of pictures as they all posed. Shuuko called them in for soup as they all walked in but Y/n noticed Komi wasn't behind him. Y/n looks at Komi as she waved him on. Y/n nods and heads forward, Komi quickly made a tiny snowman with cat ears next to Y/n's. She smiled as Y/n called out to her, with soup in his hand and brought her some. They then enjoyed their time... well...

"Everyone who wants a snowball fight, come gather here!" Najimi shouted as many people flooded the area.

"Why so many?!" Y/n shouted in confusion.

High school team: Osana, Tadano, Agari, Yamai, Yadano, Y/n.

Elementary school team: Shiota, Michisato, Saiko, Ooki, Yuri, Komi.

"Wait, something is wrong here." Y/n said out loud.

"Why is Komi-San on the the elementary and middle school team?" Tadano asked.

"It's to even out the numbers, of course! Ahaha!" Najimi was having fun, as Y/n figured that wasn't the only reason. "The rule are simple! If you get hit by a snowball you die! If it breaks when it hits you, it's a hit! If it doesn't break, then you're safe!"

The kids looked at each other. "WE'RE NOT GONNA LOSE TO SOME HIGH SCHOOLERS!!"

They all then looked at Komi, as they all shook. "What's with this girl?"

"She isn't saying a word."

"Scary...!"

"The mood got stale...!"

"I wonder if they're okay..." Tadano thinks as Ooki was soon hit.

"OOKKKIII!!" One of the boys shouted as the snowballs started to soar fast.

"HAHAHAA! DON'T UNDERESTIMATE HIGH SCHOOLERS!!!" Najimi shouted as everyone hid behind their barriers.

"HIGH SCHOOL NEE-CHAN! DO YOU HAVE ANY SNOW BALLS LEFT..?!" One of the boys asked as he turned around. "What the heck is she doing...?"

If I this is with all my might, it might hurt...

A fight might break out...

Saiko was the next to go. "SACCHII!!! Kuh, they're strong... those three are stong, the rest are normal."

Strong; Y/n, Najimi, Yamai.

"YURI!!" Yuri got hit out by Y/n as the snowball was super fast. He debated whether he should use his speed for this."There's only three of us left! We need to cooperate if we're gonna win this! Nee-Chan! For now just keep throwing!"

Komi threw the snowball three meters because she got scared, plus she can't throw well. "Useless!"

"MICCHI!!" The last boy grabbed the girl that was hit.

"Shou-chan..." she said.

"It's gonna be fine! Just don't speak!" The boy refused to hear her last words.

"You must..live..." Michisato died.

The boy got rageful and picked up snowballs. "IOOOOOOOO!!!"

Tadano and Agari were both hit before Shouta got hit. "Haaa...we lost...so we can't beat the adults after all..."

"H-Hey, look..." the kids looked to see Komi walking forward as all the snow balls missed. "HUH? When was the enemy reduced to one!"

"I won't let you!!!" Yamai shouted as she killed Najimi and Yadano with snowballs as they aimed for Komi. "Ah..aaaah. I killed Najimi and Yadano-chan for your sake, okay, Komi-San? Okay?"

Komi didn't care and hit her with the snow ball.

"AWESOME!!" All the kids thought before Komi looked around, the kids were confused. "What are you looking for?"

"Hehehehe!" A laugh came out as Komi was ready and started making many snowballs. "HAHAHAHAHHA!!"

A snowball went to her as she leaped out of the side. Another from another as snow went up into the air, Komi ran away from two more. The kids were confused. "WHAT IS THAT THING!?"

"I passed the 50m dash in two seconds, there was no way anyone could hit me with a snowball. Especially Yamai." Y/n appeared as he aimmed the snow balls at Komi as he smiled. Komi avoided it and looked worried, not sure if she could actually throw it. "I gotta get you back for the quick draw at the pool!"

Y/n leaped from a tree at Komi as Komi had a snowball in her hand. Komi was scared to throw it as Y/n was going right at her. Y/n winked at her, as Komi calmed down and threw it at Y/n's face. Y/n went crashing into the snow as he looked at Komi. "Next time...I'll...bldg..."

Komi giggled a bit as the kids looked at the two, they then gave a thumbs up, which confused her.

At the L/n Residance, A new year has dawned and now it's the second of January.

Y/n is seen sleeping, before he slowly gets out of his bed. He holds his head before he looks at a picture of him and his mother, he used to hate the picture...any picture of his parents...now, he's trying to accept that life happens...mistakes are made..he just hope he's not one of them. Y/n walks downstairs, making sure no one else was down the hall. He soon looks out and heads to the kitchen, the truth is...he wasn't a very good cook... he knew how to cook food, but microwave is the go to.

(A/n: Shocker, I know. I thought all Y/n's knew how to cook good homemade food too!)

Y/n looked at the kitchen, "all right, let's try this."

30 minutes later, Gudako wakes up to a smell. "Hm?? Mmmhm! Oh yeah!"

She rushed downstairs and looks at Y/n, "hey! Are you trying to cook again?"

"Yeah, I am..." Y/n says as his father and mother walk in as well. "Food's on the table."

"Ah, thank you..." His mother said as his father said the same.

Gudako rushed over to sit down and smiled, but then looked at it weird. "Uh...thanks...this is...."

"Breakfast ramen." "Breakfast ramen...? That's what this is...?" The family was nervous, so was Y/n but, no one moved.

Y/n sighed and saw his phone ringing, "sorry...I need to take this."

Y/n picked up the phone and went outside, "eh? Najimi...and Tadano? Not a surprise there...Shrine? Sure, I'll meet you there...now? Uh...yeah. Yeah that's fine! I'll be right there."

Y/n walks into the house and he puts on his gear. "Alright, I'm gonna head out. I'll be back later."

"Wait!" his mother shouted before she held up her empty bowl, "is...is there anymore?"

Y/n gave a small smile with his dog ears as he nodded, "yeah, there on the stove with the toppings."

Y/n went out the house as the other two ate the ramen, their eyes widening. "It's...it's good."

"Not great...but I could definitely eat more..." Gudako admitted as Y/n arrived at the place.

"Sorry, I'm a bit late!" Y/n apologizes as Najimi waved it off.

"It's no problem! We're all here now!" Najimi and the gang ran forward. "LET THE FIRST SHRINE VISIT COMMENCE! CHARGE!!"

"This is not that kind of event." Tadano said before he looked at Komi and Y/n. "Ah, happy new year."

Y/n bowed as well, "Happy new year."

Komi bowed as Najimi looked at everyone as they reached the top. "Y/n! Let's draw fortune slips!"

"Yeah, yeah! Wait till I'm done praying!" Y/n shouted as Tadano did his, he got small luck. Y/n finished praying with Komi and did his, "middle luck, eh? Not too bad. What about you, Shouko?"

Komi teases and held her great luck to her face. "Huh! Why are you hiding it?! Shouko!?"
