Snow falling Warm Hugs and Cozy Fireplaces

"Come on Babe, it's just snow. Relax and enjoy it. That's what winter is about." I said, to my boyfriend – Josh – as I wrapped up warm to go outside in the snow. "I know it's your first snow fall, but I'll make it up to you!" I sang.

"And how would you do that Charley?" he asked, and I grinned.

"What makes you the happiest person in the world?" I raised an eyebrow, nudging him, "coffee," I said. He frowned and I started laughing. "I'm joking! Seriously I know you love your hot chocolate."

"Let me guess with cinnamon?" he asked, I giggled.

"Of course with cinnamon, it's our favourite hot drink, remember?" I kissed his cheek as I finished wrapping myself up and helped him wrap himself up. "Let's go outside and you can hit me with as many snow balls you want." I grinned, grabbed his hand and took him outside.

I started grabbing snow, to start making the beginning of a snowman, but Josh grabbed me, as it was about half way to being the right side. He pulled me to him and wrapped his arms around my waist, and I wrapped mine around his neck.

"Babe, what is it?" I asked, "I wanna build a snowman!!" I complained.

"No, you made me come out here, so you need to pay up."

"But I can't make you hot cocoa with cinnamon we're not inside."

"No, something to keep me warm." He said, grinning, but I just did not understand what he meant.

"What could keep you warmer than hot cocoa and-" he cut me off by kissing me, one of the best ways to shut someone up. I started kissing him back and pulled back smiling, "Okay, that was better than hot cocoa, but how does it keep you warm?" I asked.

"I just needed an excuse to kiss you, I am your boyfriend, remember?" I smiled.

"That is true, and do you know what else is fun?"

"What else is fun?"

I reached up and leaned in as if to kiss him again, but instead unwrapped one of my arms from his neck and whispered his ear, "this," before I revealed a snowball that I had been holding in my hand and giggled. I stepped back and threw it at him. "I told you never to interrupt me when I want to do something no matter how much you want to be romantic or kiss me." I smirked and started running away, "and by any means do not ruin my snowman!" I shouted.

I giggled as I hid behind a tree and he was making snow balls, "come out, come out wherever you are Charley, Joshy's gonna get you." He sang. I peeked out from behind.

"You're so cringey sometimes." I shouted and he threw a snowball in the direction where he heard my voice. I just about dodged it and laughed. "You can't catch me Joshy I'm too fast for you." I winked and ran to the next tree to hide. I screamed as a snowball came towards me and hit in the side.

I grabbed the tree and gasped as it hit my side. "ahh!" I screamed and fell against the tree. Josh – who was about to throw another snowball put it down and ran over to me,

"Are you okay, are you hurt?" he asked with a worried tone.

"I'm fine I think." I said, before sneakily grabbing some snow and throwing it in his face. I squealed as he picked me up and swung me over his shoulder.

"Josh, put. Me. Down. Seriously, put me down Josh, I'm not kidding!" he chuckled and put me down,

"You, little Miss, are in big trouble." He said, "No hot cocoa for you."

"I was the one promising hot cocoa not you!" I exclaimed. "What are you gonna do about hmm?" I leaned into him and smirked at him, he just smirked back.

"I'm going to make the snowman without you. Now be a good girl and stay." I rolled my eyes, doing what I was told for once. He kept smirking and continued to roll up part of the snowman's body. I frowned.

"I'm sorry, just please don't make me watch you make a snowman I started." I complain, "please?" I gave him my best puppy dog eyes and he walked over to me and held out his hand.

I took it and he pulled me towards him. "Fine, you can help me if you behave and if you don't, you won't get hot cocoa or presents and," he stopped as I opened my mouth to protest, "no cuddling by the fireplace, which I know you love." I glared at him and stuck my tongue out.

"I hate you." I declared, but he just smirked,

"No you don't, you love me, why else would be living together?" he asked.

"I had nowhere to live because I wanted to move out an you offered me to come live with you?" I offered, and he shook his head.

"Nope!" he said popping the 'p'. He kept smirking but I just rolled my eyes.

"Fine, you win." I said, defeated. "I love you, now can we build this snowman? Pwease?" I asked, bringing out my puppy dogs eyes again. He chuckled and dragged me to build the snowman, which is so obviously wanted to build.

An hour and a half later once we had finished the snowman, we went inside. I sighed as I sat down on the couch and Josh made hot cocoa for us both.

I smiled as I smelt the cinnamon in the air and sighed again. "Now that's what I love about Christmas." I mumbled, as I started to close my eyes.

"You mean, hot cocoa with cinnamon and whipped cream?" he whispered in my ear and I giggled, opening my eyes to see him handing me my cup of hot cocoa with cinnamon.

He then put on the fire and sat beside me. I snuggled up to him with my hot cocoa in my hand. I took a sip and he put his arm around me, before he kissed my head gently.

"What would do without you?" I asked him, looking up at him.

"Well, I don't know because I'm wondering the same thing, because I don't think I'd make it without you." I started tearing up, and put my mug down, before I smashed my lips to his and kissed him passionately.

He cupped the back of my neck and kissed me back just as passionately. I sighed as I finally pulled away.

"I don't know what I'd do without you. I love you so much, never forget that Merry Christmas." I whispered. Josh smiled, and stroked my cheek with his other hand.

"The feeling is mutual darling. Merry Christmas." He said, the word rolling off his tongue so naturally, making me grab his t-shirt and kiss him deeply again.

He groaned, before pulling away, "you're making me feel bad thoughts, missy." He said, his voice husky. I smirked at him.

"What do you think I'm here for?" I teased, whispering into his ear, my hot breath tickling it.

"To make me laugh?" he asked, and I laughed.

"Well yes, that too, but I'm also mostly here to distract you." I giggled.

"Nah," he said, "you're worth more than being a distraction." He said and wrapped his arm around me to let me cuddle into him.

"So how was your first proper snow fall?" I asked him.

"Unforgettable." I smiled and closed my eyes, with my best friend and soul mate by the cozy fireplace and warm huggable boy surrounding my body with his arms as snuggled up to him and eventually and slowly fell asleep against him.
