Forgot to mention this until now but there is mention of abuse in this chapter. Nothing too gory but just fair warning.

"Ok come over ASAP! K thanks byeeeee!!!" Peggy put down her phone and turned towards me. School ha deben canceled due to a holiday that I didn't celebrate but at least it was a day off.

"Hey-um pegs... why were you calling Izzy and Katie? I just agreed to a truth or dare game. Not a party" Peggy had her back to me and she was fixing some stuff on her desk. "Isa this is a very important game. It isn't even a game..." she did one of those dramatic pauses and turned toward me with wide eyes. "It's a lifestyle"

At this point I was cracking up. Peggy is so amazing but weird at the same time. "Ok but are they sleeping over?" Is asked. I really hope they weren't. I love Katie and Izzy and all but I needed some alone time with pegs.

"They weren't planing on it.. why do you want them to?" She reached for her phone still giving me a concerned face. I shook my head and we left it there.

I laid on the bed on my phone. I wasn't doing anything in particular. Just curing my boredom. While I was doing that, Peggy was setting up 4 pillows and candles and some weird shit on the floor. I didn't know why she took this so seriously. It's just a simple game.

We stayed like that till the doorbell rang. I shut off my phone and slid it in my pocket as we walked to the door.

37 minutes later we were all seated around in a circle (yes like a colt) and ready for the game.
(I just swallowed my gum without thinking and idk wether to be proud or concerned)
"Hmmmmm. Ok I'll go first." Peggy looked around the circle. "Isa!!" How did I know it would be me... "Truth..... or DARE" she put an emphasis on dare. I knew she would steer in a Noah direction if I did truth.

"Dare" I said crossing my arms with a smug smile. Slightly disappointed Peggy hmphfed and said "ok then Isabel. I dare you toooo..." she trailed off. Peggy perked up as she got a thought. "Oh I dare you to sing the abc's in a Scottish accent and send it in your streaks..." she smiled menacingly.

I rolled my eyes. I mean I had this coming. Peggy knows that I can never fake cheat or give up on a dare so I had to do it.

After about 2 rounds of thre circle I noticed that everyone had chosen dare. I mean that's typical for Katie and izzy and Peggy. They've all got stuff to hide. That's why i said, "ok I'm kind bored of doing dares how about we all do truths now. Just one round." I got nods of agreement.

"Okay I'll go first!!" I hesitated not wanting to expose any of my friend too bad. "Oh I got it! Katie, why have you not broken up with James?" Katie hesitates. I was kinda scared that I had gone too far. "And I have to tell the truth?" She said in her high pitched voice. We all nodded.

"Well the truth is, he isn't really nice to me. I mean I knew he loves me but he" she paused trying to find the right way to phrase the next part " he doesn't  know how to control his anger and I was the only one around so he" she paused again "he vents to me." We all stayed silent.

"Well we vent to you so why-" Peggy stopped in the middle of her sentence and her face got red with anger " KATIE IS HE HURTING YOU!!!" PeGGy yelled. To be honest I hadn't thought of that but I swear to god I would beat the living shit out of him if he did.

"Well-w you s-see h-h-e is sweet s-sometimes." Katie stuttered. I was raging I knew Peggy wouldn't do something but I would. Peggy pulled up Katie's sleeves. Kate went limp and let it happen. As we suspected there were bruises and cuts lining her arms.

"Katie he goes to the south side mall a lot right?" I questioned trying to stay calm. She nodded slowly. I looked out the window. It was still bright enough so I shoved on a sweatshirt and yanked my hair into a ponytail. 

Peggy knew what I was about to do and pulled me aside. I was fuming. "Isa for a shy girl you really care about your friends." She said in admiration. I was confused I thought she was going to stop me. That's why Peggy is my best friend. "Just don't kill him ok" she said removing my glasses. I nodded and went to go unlock my car door. I sat behind the wheel.

I was about to beat some serious ass.
