New Orleans
~With Aleki~
Well, after a few more weeks of wrestling, Hana and I decided to have a week off to rest our bodies and had a message and a chiropractor appointments.
Of course, we did the massage together where we were both naked and had towels covering our backsides and privates.
It felt great doing this together and we vowed to keep our eyes of each other's bodies until we felt like getting married, if we ever get to that stage, and that way we'll have all the fun we want.
For now, it's best to keep away from that subject.
However, as we were on our chests on separate tables, we both looked at each, I smiled first and then she smiled as I we both held hands, but Hana moved her thumb across my fingers, and then she smiled that beautiful smile I love so much.
This moment right here will stay with me forever, seeing her beautiful face as she smiles. It really brightens my day whenever I felt down and I'm really blessed to have a girlfriend like her.
After an hour and a half massage, we got up, dressed in separate changing rooms, hugged, paid the masseuses, and we were off to New Orleans for Wrestlemania 34, where Jon and Josh were gonna meet us at Bourbon Street.
~April 4th, 2018~
When we finally arrived in New Orleans, via a flight, we found ourselves a hotel to stay in, as we were going to stay here for the weekend before we gotta go back to Japan.
The hotel room we stayed in, a loft suite Queen, it didn't cost much, about almost $400 per night...
...for the loft suite queen, and we're staying for five nights, which costs nearly $2000. Hana and I both split the bill as she paid $1000 and I paid $1000, so that way we'd save the money for the rest of the trip down here.
Also, my pay in New Japan wasn't that much, only about 1,500 bucks per appearance and/or match. I've been saving so much that the best advice I was given from my dad was always save your money.
He was right, and over the course of three years into wrestling, I got about, well, I don't know, $234,000 at the most right now? I mean, I'm making a pretty good living at this point in my career and so far, I'm loving it.
Anyway, Hana and I were gonna meet up with Jon, Josh, and Trinity tomorrow on Bourbon Street and walk around, but for now, the jet lag was getting to us, so we decided to stay in our hotel room and rest, just to save on energy.
I mean, before we rested up, Hana plopped onto our bed and "ahh'd" as the sheets hit her back.
(So good.)
(Hey, well, you might wanna enjoy it while it lasts. We're only here for a few days anyway.)
(And I plan on spending them all with you.)
She scooted up next to me as I laid down and faced towards me with a smile as both held our hands together.
We both stared at each other for a minute until I released my hand from hers and carressed her face
(What did I do to have such a beautiful girl in my life?)
Hana smiled, held my hand and kissed the underside of my hand as she smiled.
(You treat me like a princess, and you never cursed around me.)
(And I plan on continuing to do so.)
(You know, I don't think I ever told you this, but you're my first boyfriend.)
Me: 本当に? (Really?)
(Yeah. The thing is, Arata-chan always protected me from boys in school, because he always thought they were up to no good and I never got to have one, but now I do, with you.)
(If it makes you happy, I'm honored to be your first, and I plan on loving you forever.)
(Well, if you do, and you're gonna travel somewhere all alone...)
She reached into her pocket, pulled this out, and put it in my hand with a smile...
Hana: ... (...you'll need this in your wallet, so now I'm with you wherever you go.)
I was really surprised by the picture and I didn't think Hana would come up with this. I'm definitely keeping it because this is so valuable to me.
(Hana-chan, I don't know what to say. Thank-you.)
(Your birthday is in a few weeks, so why not give it to you now?)
Instead of saying anything, I pulled her up to me as she giggled and I kissed her, letting her know how much I love her.
When I released, I had to tell her this, as she laid her head on my chest, and looked at me, as the cutie that she is...
(Of course, I'm gonna keep this with me. Besides, what kinda guy would I be if I didn't?)
Hana smiled and we held each other close as we fell asleep in each other's arms, and luckily, it was becoming night, so it was perfect all around.
~April 5th, 2018~
After we woke up, Hana and I showered separately and I talked to Jon and Josh about when we should meet up.
Luckily, we were going to meet with them later on tonight, around 4:30, so we have plenty of time to get ready.
Not only that, I've been helping Hana practice on some English and she can speak it pretty well. Not as fluent, but she can speak it pretty good, it's all that matters.
Hana still prefers to speak her native Japanese, but she promised to me that she would speak English if it ever comes to that.
It's really a blessing that she's willing to learn English and I know for a fact that it's the most hardest language for everyone to understand, so I have an idea of where Hana's coming from.
Once we got dressed, I texted Jon and Josh as we were ready to go.
I even told Hana that New Orleans is known as one of the most haunted cities in America, and to prove how much of a great sense of humor she has, she had to wear this...
I mean, she's such a cutie, Madonna could've walked in the room and would've been more ugly than ever.
Anyway, once I got into my outfit, which is just my chain, plain black t-shirt, jeans, and kicks, we were good to go as we went out onto Bourbon Street, it was jam packed and I don't know how the hell we're gonna find Jon, Josh, and Trinity in this place.
Hana: Where are cousins? They should be here?
Me: Good question. Haven't been here before, so we might as well keep looking.
It was only after a while that we found them as Josh called me out.
Josh: Aleki! Cuz!
Me: What's going on, Uce?
We both bro hugged as he introduced himself to Hana.
Josh: You must be Hana?
Hana: I am. Josh, is it?
Josh: Yes, ma'am. Nice to meet you.
They both shook hands as he lead us to Jon and Trinity, where Hana and Trinity got along right off the bat!
Jon: Aleki! Awesome to see ya, Uce!
Me: Same here, man!
We bro hugged as Hana, instead of going for her usual introduction, she hugged Trinity as she was not expecting that.
Trin then broke away from Hana for a bit until she hugged me, as it's been such a long time since I've seen her.
Trinity: It's been so long, Aleki.
Me: It really has. What do you think of her?
Trinity: She's adorable, like, I can't lie to you!
Hana: Arigatomasu!
Trinity: You're very welcome!
Me: Well, let's walk around, shall we?!
All: Let's go!
(Let's go!)
[There should be a GIF or video here. Update the app now to see it.]
We were all walking around just partying, but we saw a couple of girls being topless, but they had plastic stickers covering their nipples.
Hana looked away a bit as I did too. I mean, she's my everything and I have no desire to cheat on her, which is the last thing I wanna do.
After a while, we bumped into a bar that got us very interested!
Now, I've read up about this place and it turns out that the building was once owned by a man named Eduard Dubois. Eduard DuBois happened to be a barber, a philanthropist, and a womanizer, and legend has it that his spirit still resides in the building.
Also, a red barber chair is in plain view at the entrance, and that's the main attraction from what I heard.
So, the five of us went inside to get our seats and have some drinks.
While Trinity and Hana were talking, I was spending time with my cousins.
Jon: So how you been, man? I mean, it's been a long time.
Me: I've been doing alright. I mean, you probably have seen what I've been doing over in Japan.
Josh: Yeah, that is sick! You really have shown what you can do over there. And her, Hana. How'd you get with her?
Me: I saw her entering for a match at a Stardom show with a friend from the dojo, and I learned that she had a meet and greet afterwards, and I guess you can say that it was love at first sight. I mean, we confessed a few weeks after, a month ago, I told her I loved her a month ago, she did the same then, and here we are.
Jon: Wow, that's a hallmark movie right there.
Me: Hallmark? Nah, more like a movie from the 50s. I can't stand those.
Jon: Whatever you say, cuz.
Me: Seriously, though, I'm happy with where I'm at. I got the Bullet Club, I got my first championship in the promotion. It can't get any better than that. Oh yeah, and I got Hana as a girlfriend.
Josh: Well, you're doing well for yourself, and we love to see it!
Me: Thanks, Uce. It means a lot to me, you know?
Jon: Of course, we support you and her.
We got our drinks, I had a Diet Coke while Jon, Josh, Trinity, and Hana got the Resurrection, Spirits On Bourbon's signature cocktail.
I don't drink, obviously, because it's the rules and regulations from the dojo are instilled in me, it mainly has to do with me not wanting to try alcohol.
I've heard the stories of wrestlers drinking, doing dumb decisions, getting DUI'd, and many other things, so I just decided to do myself a favor and not partake in it. I mean, it's not worth it.
Anyway, we all had our food, Hana and I decided to split a bowl of gumbo, Jon, Josh, and Trinity decided to have a few burgers and I gotta say, the gumbo was really good, and I'm surprised by how delicious it was.
It was Hana and I's first time trying gumbo and it was so good. Like, I'd have it again.
Soon after, we all paid for our bills and we kept walking around, enjoying the sightseeing and we came across St. Louis Cemetery No. 1, where I learned is one of the most haunted cemeteries in America.
And Marie Laveau, a well known voodoo priestess, was buried here and it's said that she shows up in many different ways, and the most common one was a ball python.
Her tomb, is also being worshiped as I learned that there were many voodoo rituals and practices around there and it's said that if you mark it with an "X", you can be given a blessing from Laveau, but I learned that a fine will be given since the tomb has been fragile over time due to this practice.
Luckily, knowing that we would be arrested and charged for that kinda thing, we don't exactly plan on taking a risk since it's not worth the reward. No disrespect to Laveau, it's just something that we don't wanna risk, knowing that a fine would be set on our front doorstep.
To solve that problem, we decided to buy a voodoo love spell candle and put it there, to save the possibility of getting fined for putting an "X" on the tomb.
After buying a candle, we visited and just as we got there, Laveau's tomb was right in front of us.
It felt very mesmerizing to be in front of the legendary tomb of Marie Laveau, and it's really amazing to be here.
Instead of wasting time, I walked up to it respectfully, put down the candle, which is this...
...and said...
Me: Preistess Laveau, we thank you for allowing us to visit your resting place. Please accept our offering to you, as it may not be much, but we do hope that it is enough to receive your blessing.
What I was saying is not to be of mockery, but out of respect. I did not want to be at risk of being cursed by voodoo tonight, so I do hope that Laveau accepts our candle as an offering.
And just as we were about to leave, there was this ball python staring at me.
Then, it slithered over to the candle, touched it lightly with its tongue, and slithered away to never be seen again.
I remember the stories of a ball python being one of the many manifestations of Marie Laveau, as it's the most common, but I really think I was given her blessing, but we'll have to see later on in the coming years.
Instead of being scared, I said this...
Me: Preistess Laveau, we thank you for acknowledging our offering, and we hope you accept it.
I bowed in respect and we walked out before we became haunted by the many spirits in the cemetery, including the spirit of Marie Laveau
After hanging out with Jon, Josh, and Trinity, we went back to our hotel room and we just laid down together and slowly went to sleep, being ready to watch Wrestlemania 34, where I learned that Leati was taking on Bork Lobster, I mean Brock Lesnar, for the WWE Universal Championship.
We got the tickets to be in a skybox and watch it from above, but I hope Hana doesn't get frightened from the heights that we're about to be at.
