Burning

~With Aleki~

So, I did manage to make to one of Hana's shows and she was competing.

She did great like always and it was telling everyone that she's ready for a championship at some point, even though she's holding the Goddess of Stardom Championship with Yukari.

What I meant is a singles Championship and I'd like to see her win one of those sometime.

Anyway, I woke up one morning to go to the dentist, and after finding out I had a cavity and they fixed it, my mouth ended up getting sore.

What was even worse was that I had a show today, and I had to get there.

Since Hana was going to come with me to the show, I had to text her ahead of time to let her know that I had to get a filling and I can barely talk.

And Hana, being the sweetheart she is...

(It's okay! You don't have to talk. Actions speak louder than words!)

I then texted her...

(Alright then, let's go to the New Japan store.)

Hana: よし! (Okay! Let's go!)

I picked her up from her apartment and we drove over to the store where New Japan merch was being sold in Tokyo.

That's right, turns out that there's a shop in Tokyo where everyone, local or tourist, can buy merch from to support the company.

I've been there a couple times and it's really cool, so I know for a fact that there will be a Kenny Omega Bullet Club shirt for sale and it's perfect.

As we arrived, Hana offered to speak for me as my mouth was still sore from the dentist, so it was a huge blessing because we finally got the shirt we needed, which costed about 3,600 yen (25 USD).

After that, we drove to the arena, where my Bullet Club stablemates were, but I told them beforehand that my mouth was sore and I can't exactly talk without hurting.

They understood and they got me a trash can and some lighter fluid so I can burn the shirt as well.

I know what I plan on doing and this right here is gonna get me nuclear heat from the Japanese wrestling fans.

~Segment~

I was in my usual outfit, and I was ready to send Kenny Omega a message, letting him know what I really think about The Elite and his leadership in Bullet Club.

I was looking forward to sending a message to the entire Elite, more specifically Kenny.

I really want him in a No DQ match because that'll give me a chance to show everyone what I can really do as a wrestler, more so than just a normal match.

Anyway, after a few minutes, my music played...

[There should be a GIF or video here. Update the app now to see it.]

...and at the 0:25 mark, I went out with the trash can, the shirt, and the lighter fluid, causing the fans to scream in shock and horror as I smiled, regardless of the pain, went into the ring and set up the trash can in the middle of the mat.

I then grabbed a microphone, as if I was going to speak, but then, to troll everyone that I couldn't talk, I threw it away, threw the t-shirt into the can, squirted all the lighter fluid onto the shirt that's in the can, lit a match, and when I lit the shirt aflame inside that garbage can, Hitler ain't got nothin' on me!

The fans started to panic and chanted "Baka Gaijin", or "idiot foreigner" at me once again, much to my personal satisfaction this time.

I'm serious, some of the fans started running for the doors and outta the arena because of the fear that I might burn the place down, even though it's in a trash can and I'm burning the shirt in there, just to save the possibility of that happening!

Eventually, the Buckaroos, Omega, and Hangnail started running out to stop me, but I rolled out of the ring and smiled at them, letting them know that I sent a message!

They managed to find a fire extinguisher and put out the fire, but the message was already sent and the shirt was already destroyed, so them trying to save what was left of it is pretty pointless.

My theme played and I saw Hana still smiling in excitement compared to the other fans in the arena, as they were booing at me, just constantly.

~With Hana~

Seriously, Aleki got people so mad at the Bullet Club OGs, New Jack could've walked through the curtain and he'd have been a babyface!

He's pissing fans the hell off, and I love it, but I'm now learning that he's gaining so much hate to where people are seeing him more and more as a bad guy, but I really think he's trying to tell us something and that's the fame and fortune going to the Elite's heads and yet the fans prefer them.

I can applaud Aleki for doing so because he's doing whatever he can, both in and out of character, to prove that the Elite, except Cody, are not genuine human beings.

I mean, this is something that I would do if I ever have the chance in a rivalry, but it's too extreme, so I'm gonna hold off on that until the time is right.

I also know that if my mom was still wrestling, this is something that she would do, knowing how much of an asshole heel she was in her career. I might have to ask Rossy if I can do something similar, maybe in a trash bag and then in a dumpster, right?

Anyway, after that segment, I went to the back and I saw Aleki and his friends dying of laughter from what he's done out there!

I joined in, knowing how much of a heat getter Aleki did, and it worked so well that I think he's gaining inspiration from me. I can let him do that since I'm an asshole heel in Stardom with Oedo Tai and he's new in the wrestling business as I am.

It was only a matter of time before the next PPV is on and with Aleki wrestling Kenny again, and I'm looking forward to that match.

~With Aleki; Days Later~

After my mouth got better from the dentist, I can talk again, so to celebrate that, I decided to invite Hana over to my place for a stay-at-home kinda date.

I even decided to invite her to some Samoan and Japanese infused cuisine for dinner, that I had growing up, and that would be some whole chicken wings that I'll be cooking up, but first, I had to make the marinade.

It's very simple,

- Pineapple Juice
- Soy Sauce (I'd prefer Kikkoman)
- Grated Ginger
- Grated Garlic
- Raw Unfiltered Honey
- Hand Crushed Hot Chili Powder

And with the wings, I just usually buy the pre-prepped wings, to save time, and when the marinade is finished, I added it to the bowl of raw wings and mixed the marinade well making sure everything is coated.

After a few minutes of mixing the seasonings together, I wrapped it in plastic wrap, and chucked it in the fridge to marinate for at least a few hours, preferably overnight, but since Hana's coming over today, I don't have a lot of time to let that go overnight, so a few hours it is!

An hour later, I decided to work on the rice, just washing it until the starch isn't there anymore, and when that was done, I let the rice soak for at least 45 minutes to an hour.

And just as I was about to work on the rice, the doorbell rang, so I cleaned my hands, and opened the door to see Hana being as cute as ever.

(Hi Aleki-chan!)

I smirked...

(How you doin', sweetheart?)

We kissed and hugged a bit as I let her into the apartment, where she saw the rice being soaked.

(Oh, you were working on the rice?)

(Yeah, you kinda stopped me from getting the rice cooked.)

(I'm so sorry, I didn't know.)

(It's alright, plus I gotta get the chicken out and get it ready for cooking. Wanna give it a sniff?)

(Please!)

I took it out of the fridge and brought out a cast iron skillet with rims sticking up, almost as if I'm looking for grill marks, which is exactly what I'm looking for.

Hana then came up and gave it a sniff, and she was in so much bliss!

(Wow. That smells delicious.)

(It's Samoan and Japanese Infused Chicken Wings. I wanna bring some of my heritage here, you know? You introduced me to one of your recipes, now it's my turn.)

(I'm all for that. Let me put down my stuff and we'll get started, sounds good?)

(Sounds good.)

I kissed her cheek as she walked away, but I let her slip hers out of mine lovingly as she smiled, and went over to the couch to put her stuff down before taking her jacket off to reveal a Bullet Club shirt.

However, it looked different, and when she walked back in, Hana showed it off to me.

(Oh, ho ho ho! Where'd you get that?!)

I turned back around to the stove to get the chicken cooking, but she came to the side to smiled before leaning on the counter, causing me to chuckle a bit, just because of how cute she is.

(From the New Japan store. They decided to make a shirt for you, but I'm sure they didn't tell you about it, right?)

(They didn't, but I'll give 'em a pass since it looks good on ya, and I'm all for them coming up with that.)

(You think so?)

Me: うん。 (Yeah. I mean, you look so cute with that, it makes me look ugly.)

She giggled a bit as I had to laugh as well.

(Don't say that, you're way more handsome than you think.)

(You think so?)

(Yeah. I do remember saying that you having the stubble on your face is quite cute.)

(Well, I do know that it's frowned upon in Japan. I plan on getting rid of it soon, probably forever.)

(No, please, just keep it. You look handsome with that.)

(Alright, if you want me to keep it, then I'll keep it. It's only just for you.)

(That makes me love you even more.)

She hugged behind me and laid her chin on my shoulder before kissing my cheek with a smile.

(Well, you mind helping me with the rice and chicken?)

(Oh, sure! I'll get the rice started.)

(And I'll get this chicken cooking.)

Hana kissed my cheek again before going over to the rice cooker while I was cooking the chicken.

I mean, it smells incredible, with all the flavors and whatnot. I'd have this everyday if I could, but I can't, because I'm on a diet. This is just a cheat meal if that makes any sense.

As Hana got the rice cooking, I got the chicken seared and being cooked. Plus, these wings are gonna be cooked all the way through since they don't take that long to make, but to implement some extra flavor, I'm taking some charcoal that I managed to buy from the local store, and burn it a bit in my oven, to make sure that I get some whiteness on there.

Once the wings were fully cooked, I put them on a tray, and in a small bowl, I put the partially burnt charcoal in the bowl, in the middle of the tray, heated up some oil, poured some of the oil into the bowl of burnt charcoal, and closed the oven door to let it all smoke.

(Oh, you're smoking the chicken a little bit?)

(That's right. It's a part of my heritage. We like to smoke some charcoal flavor onto meats, so that's the Samoan infused part in this recipe.)

(I like that. Let's work on the sauce, shall we?)

(Let's do it.)

In a small saucepan, I added some chicken stock, the freshly crushed chili powder (I basically took some chilis, smoked them in a pan, and crushed them afterwards to get the heat), grated ginger, grated garlic, some honey, a splash of pineapple juice, Kikkoman soy sauce, coarse salt, and a tiny bit of flour to help thicken the sauce.

Now, if anyone's trying to make this and they're a celiac or someone they're serving the sauce to with the wings has celiac disease, I'd personally recommend to leave the flour out and use a cornstarch mixture instead, but only do that when the sauce is all coming together like I just did.

And with garlic and ginger, I recommend prepping them as normal, but if anyone has trouble with using a knife, they have a disability, or they're short of time, they can simply put the peeled ginger and garlic in a food processor, and that'll definitely help with whatever everyone's got going on.

Also, with the garlic, I recommend not buying a jar of that pre-minced garlic. It's no good.

Fresh is better in this case.

Anyway, once the sauce was finished, I took it off the heat, and gave it a taste. And when I tasted it, the sauce came out DELICIOUS!

(Hey, Hana-chan! Grab a spoon and try this. It's really good.)

Hana did grab a spoon, got a bit of the sauce, tasted it, and she moaned in bliss.

(That is so good. I think this is my new favorite sauce for chicken.)

(Wow, that's awesome.)

(I can definitely taste some pineapple in there. Such a nice touch.)

After letting it simmer for a few minutes, the sauce was finished, I took the chicken wings out of the oven, and extinguished the burnt charcoal almost immediately.

I then sung in a playful tone, just to mess with my girlfriend...

Me: "Smoky chicken ready!"

She laughed a bit and just as I said that, the rice was finished, and we were ready for dinner.

Hana got a plate of rice and two wings with some sauce while I have a plate of the same thing, and as we sat down with chopsticks and some water to drink, we put our hands together, and proclaimed...

Me/Hana: Itsadakimasu. (Thank you for the food.)

We dug in and just as Hana took a bite of the wing, she closed her eyes and moaned in bliss from the flavor.

(Wow. So tasty and tender. The smokiness really adds something to the chicken with that sauce.)

(I appreciate that. And you know, combining Japanese and Samoan flavors into one dish, this is pretty bloody good. Rice is good too, it really adds some depth to the wings.)

(You outdid yourself, Aleki-chan. This is very good.)

(Thank you, Hana-chan. It really means a lot coming from you.)

(I can definitely tell the Samoan infusion and I can see why your heritage means so much to you.)

(I appreciate that, Hana-chan. You know, maybe someday, you and I can go to Samoa for vacation together. Want me to introduce you to the culture sometime?)

(I would love that. Again, very good, Aleki-chan. Very well done.)

(Thank you.)

We kept eating our dinner and when we were done, we got on the couch to watch a few movies, like two 007 films, Spectre from 2015 and Skyfall from 2012.

Obviously, I turned the Japanese subtitles on for Hana, knowing how her English skills weren't that good, nor are they bad, more so in the middle.

She is learning the language and I'll give her props for learning how to speak and understand since it's the most complicated language to learn, but for the time being, it's best to put her needs first before my own.

Even when I put the subtitles on, Hana was a bit touched by what I was doing.

(Aleki-chan. You don't have to put them on.)

(Hey, you're still learning English, but for now, this is just to help you get an idea of what everyone's saying.)

I put my arm around her and kissed her head as she still smiled, and laid down, with her head on my lap, but a few seconds later, I felt her purring like a cat.

Hana is just adorable and I'm glad I met her last year. If it wasn't for that Stardom show I went to with Kenta, I'd probably still feel lonely.

To show some affection, I just rubbed her head as we stayed like this for the rest of the night, watching the movies together until we fell asleep on the couch.
