FIRST LOVE OVERVIEW

• THE TAPES

- as it was explained throughout the book, Yoongi had been under therapy for his anxiety. The tapes allow for him to communicate and update his therapist and have his thoughts documented in the easiest way possible. Especially since he couldn't bring himself to meet him face-to-face (until Kate convinced him).

• AGUST D

- Yoongi had to remain his true identity a secret since that was the requirement for the company to hire him; hiding his face and only showing his talent through his voice and lyrics. Of course, upon finding out about his current situation, the (3 months) unavailability automatically results to termination of the contract.

• KATE'S FAMILY

- although, mr. jung never did pay attention to what kate's boyfriend plans on pursuing in his life, mrs. jung thought otherwise, wanting the perfect stable life for her daughter. they haven't really been talking much with kate ever since jimin's death since they hadn't moved on from it and it was fine with kate, seeing as she can manage herself. even if she finds herself vulnerable and incapable of mrs. jung's expectations sometimes.

• KATE AND YOONGI

- a fan and idol fell in love with each other type of relationship. kate had always been there through thick and thin, through their ups and downs. yoongi felt like he wasn't ever good enough for her even though he loves her so much with all his heart. he doesn't ever want to become a burden in anyone's life, especially in hers, naturally, thinking breaking up would be the most efficient way to save them both.

• YOONGI AND SEOKJIN

- seokjin's character and role will be revealed in AWAKE.

- obviously, yoongi despised seokjin, though not fully, since he knows it's his dad fault that got them into this mess. his father had always favored the son he had from another woman rather than his real son.

• THE MIN FAMILY

- they lived in a patriarchal system, meaning the father always gets to decide on what should be done and their decisions in life as a whole.

- mrs. min always pressured yoongi to be the perfecr son in both her eyes and her husband's, determined to make mr. min pay attention to yoongi for once and yet she failed to realize how big of a damage she did to yoongi based on her actions trying to be the 'responsible parent'

• YOONGI AND JUNGKOOK

- mr. min's car hit jungkook while he was scolding yoongi. ever since then, yoongi was (made) responsible to visit the victim everyday in his father's place. eventually finding out jungkook had been the online friend he's been sending pics to, regarding what the real world looks like. he's been taking care of him since, like an older brother

- what became of jungkook will be revealed on REFLECTION

• JISOO AND YOONGI'S PAST RELATIONSHIP

- although it was blindly portrayed, yoongi and jisoo really loved each other when they began dating. however, given yoongi's mental state, he had grown sensitive, not knowing when he should act like a boyfriend, thinking his actions had been sufficient for jisoo but jisoo had had enough feeling the one-sided relationship, thus causing her to break up with him to avoid the pain

- jisoo's relationship with jin will be revealed on AWAKE

• THE ENDING

- yoongi lost his ability to see.
- he lost his job
- he couldn't get any hope left to achieve what he's always dreamed of: being a musician
- yoongi doesn't want to burden kate, and was confident that the immediate best thing to do would be breaking up with her
- yoongi knows very well of their family status regarding the budget and he knew they had no money for his eye surgery; plus doesn't ever want to get any money from his dad
- kate and yoongi broke up in a rather fair way, seeking hope that fate will lead their paths towards each other again once yoongi's healing process is over

「ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS」

1. _MraMp_ : Yoongi at some chapter was recording with Tae and said to his therapist to send this to the police. Did he send it? And if he did, what happened?

- Yes, he did! Unfortunately, I couldn't include it in the story since it revolves around Yoongi and Kate. The therapist took precaution and also admitted himself as one of the witnesses to prove that his patient (Yoongi) is not lying about the interview he had, getting answers straight from Taehyung.

What happens is Taehyung's sentence in prison has been shortened, since he still needs to pay for what he did: killing, despite the abuse he had to suffer through from his father and there had been doubts about his mental state after losing his sister. Although it wasn't mentioned, Taehyung is doing fine and is thinking of what he could possibly do in life after getting out of prison. Hoping he sees Yoongi one day and return the favor for saving his life.

2. KristenStewart1: the same question. Taehyung did show up in the middle and left without proper explanation. And Jungkook, does he know about Yoongi's condition? Will he ever show up? And is Yoongi gonna be okay??? Will Jin not cause any problem to him?

- For Taehyung's question, refer to the answer I've given above and as for Jungkook, this could be vaguely explained in REFLECTION since he's going to be there ;)
