Hello, everyone. A.K.A. Min Yoongi, because there’s no way I’m letting anyone listen to these tapes except me.

Today went great. My 3,000 fans online were anticipating my comeback. And well, that’s it.

My producer keeps rejecting the drafts I had for the music. So right now, [testing piano on laptop] I’m trying to find the “right” tune he kept saying I should try. Basically means taking in sample music online other artists have used before, see if mine is better than the original. It’s undignifying.

I’m definitely going to blow his mind out using my own skills as a genius. [light laughs] ‘Cause that’s what I am— a talented, genius, faceless, underground rapper.

[message tone rings] [unlocking phone] . . .who’s attending a funeral with my parents. For someone named Jung Jimin and Lisa. Wish me luck, I guess?

AUTHOR'S NOTE: All thanks to drunksope for supporting me in this series and for convincing me to change the story format for this book. Supposedly, she thought a diary formar would be great for a change, but then I changed it to something else (recordings) since I remembered Jack Cheng’s format for his see you in the cosmos book and Yoongi is the type to talk more to himself, right? Through video vlogs. But it’s in recording form.
