Yoongi got there as fast as he could. The auditorium; where everything is taking place. Just like the last time when he saw Jimin supporting his girlfriend. Turns out, Kate was the only freshman who auditioned for the role. With her friend, too, but both of them, seeing as it was their first time, were accepted without any trouble.

"Oh, you're here?" Just when he thought he'd never see Jin's face again, he pops out of nowhere, patting on his shoulder, to which he gruffed at. "Wonder who you're supporting? Uh, Jisoo? Your ex, maybe? Still not over her, huh?"

"Get off me. You're in no position to ask me when you don't even have a reason to be here."

"Yeah, I do. I came to support my best pal, Jisoo."

His best pal! Yeah, right. Like Jisoo would befriend any other guy outside of the club for no reason.

"Yoongi!!"

Oh, crap. He had never been so pissed seeing Kate running towards them. He had nothing against her. Absolutely nothing. But he didn't want him seeing her face. Or else, he might try to take her away from him, too. Like the snake he is with everyone he loves.

Kate pounced on him for a great big hug. "You're here early! Oh, shoot. I need to save my voice for later, why did I scream?" She couldn't help leaning on to his chest to hide her embarrassed self.

"Oh? Aren't you two close?"

Fuck.

"A–Ah, yes," Kate was starting to back off upon realizing there was a stranger standing next to the two of them. Like she remembered Yoongi not wanting public display of affection and not let anyone find out about them. "Um, he's a close friend of mine." She tried thinking up an excuse.

Yoongi was amused to see her play along, but since the situation was calling for it, before Jin could say anything; he pulled her by her waist towards his chest, wrapping an arm around her and faced his brother, claiming, "She's my girlfriend."

"Really, now? Huh."

And as if things couldn't get any worse, Jin called Jisoo upon seeing her walking behind the scenes.

"What is it, Jin? I'm really— busy." Jisoo almost stopped and froze in place when she found Yoongi and Kate together in front of her in this position. But she was mature, she believed. This shouldn't mean anything by now. Let's be adults and not let this get any more awkward. "Uh, Kate, you should go change into your costume. Jin and Yoongi, why don't you two find your seats in the audience? The auditorium will be packed soon before you know it." With that, she walked out of the scene without looking like a bitter person.

"That's my cue. Wish me luck." Kate always kissed him first. But for the day, he made the first move before letting her go.

"I know you'll do great." Yoongi had absolutely no doubt in her skills and performance for later.

However, he was quite doubtful of Jin's relationship with Jisoo at this point. "What are you planning on Jisoo?"

"Now you're interested in my life?" Jin cackled to himself at the sudden change of mood his brother was with the snap of his fingers. "And I'm not planning on anything. Truth is, bro,"

"Don't call me bro."

"I've known Jisoo waaaaay longer than you. Before you even dated her. Yep, I was by the sidelines. I was there when she needed a should to cry on. Someone to listen to her rants and all that crap. When honestly, you should've been there, doing that. It was your job. And you failed."

Yoongi couldn't help sensing something about his plans. Jin was a deceitful guy; nobody knew there was another face behind the mask he puts on to fool everyone. He wanted to rush behind the curtains to search for Jisoo, to confirm his suspicion.

However,

“Let’s give it up for the rookies of Beyond the Scene; namely Park Rosé, Jung Kate,”

Yoongi was there for a different reason. He has looked out and cared for Jisoo all this time, but he couldn't move; seeing as he had a new priority in his life now.

Kate stood there beside Rosé on stage, the singers looking at each other to signal they were ready, before the instrumental music started playing in the background. They grasped on to their microphones and started singing; the goal of the day.

Yoongi sat back, avoiding overthinking and instead, focusing on his girlfriend. On supporting her as she has been to him everytime.

This was no time to hide his feelings or his relationship with her; he stood up, clapping at first. And when the two of them found their eyes on one another, Kate's voice came out louder, Yoongi screamed and cheered: “JUNG KATE!”
