Deadly Darkness || Chapter Twenty-One || Kill Her.
The castle was abuzz with both excitement and worry, no one knew how to feel.
Their new queen had called a meeting, to which everybody had to be present or have a mindlink open.
Whispers has painted Kris in both a evil and good light, everybody hoping she would bring light back to the Royal Pack.
Though others to were suspicious about her, after all, who would trust a killer?

Two maids whispered as they worked, trying not to draw a attention to herself.
"I heard from Abbot who heard from Erich who heard from Mitch that Queen Kris plans to make the wolves free again. Maybe just maybe we'll be allowed to shift."
King Julian hadn't let the lower members - staff, low ranking - shift, he had said they didn't deserve to shift. She was glad he was dead, but she knew not to say that out loud, some people were still loyal to King Julian.
"Grace don't be silly and believe that nonsense, I heard from commander Nigel, from his very lips, that she plans to kill everybody starting with her own family. How barbaric!"
Grace didn't know what to believe, while Abbot, Erich and Mitch were trustworthy Commander Nigel had never really liked King Julian so he wouldn't be loyal to the dead king.
"I don't know Audrey, we'll just have to wait and see" Grace picked up her bucket and moved onto the next window, leaving behind the fuming Audrey.
Audrey cursed in her head, stupid simpleton! Why couldn't Grace just accept what she said.
It was part of her job to spread the rumors, but she couldn't draw to much attention to herself. That was what Grace was for.
"Fucking bitch!" she muttered before moving on.

"Where is Loki? Vlader have you seen him?" Kris asked.
Vlader thought for a second, the last time he'd seen Loki was when he'd been heading off to the library.
He told her just that.
"I worry..." Kris begun, shocking Vlader, they weren't at all the type to express emotions with each other. It was like some unwritten rule, that had respect for each other and acknowledged that, but never once had they talked feelings.
"What do you worry for?" he hid his eagerness, she clearly had something on her mind.
"I worry for Loki, he is so...so fragile, why ever would Lady Luna give me a soft mate? I find myself constantly stressing that I might scare him away. I am not like this, I do not worry, I do understand why I am feeling the way" Kris ranted.
Vlader sat silent simply blinking, not comprehending before he begun, "I won't offend you by saying that I know how you feel, because I don't. Angeles is incredible strong, I do know that if she had been like Loki I would have bubble-wrapped her and never left her side"
"That is what I am afraid I'm off, what will happen if I was to do that, and he hate me for it. I only wish to keep him safe." She paused looking thoughtful, "Something is off about Loki" seeing Vlader's look Kris rushed to continue, "no no not like that! I feel like he is not truly himself. I feel his emotions, as all mate do but what perplexed me is that they are opposite the emotion he shows. And it seems involuntary.
"Just yesterday I guard raised his voice at Loki and physically he cowed, but his emotions seeped with angry and fury almost matching my own."
"There seems to be more to Loki then we know" mused Vlader.
"It would appear so, friend, it would appear so." Kris replied.
Both were unaware of the listening intruder.
"I must tell the master" the mystery person whispered, before chanting a spell and disappearing into thin air.

"Its not here! Fucking hell! Why must it be so hard!"
He pushed the books he had just read through in aggravation. It shouldn't be this hard.
The dim lighted library was scattered with books, most half open and forgotten.
"I know your trouble Loki" someone spoke from the shadows.
Whipping around stared at the darkness until he made out the form of Michelangelo, the angel.
"I see you as you true self, Loki, I also know the spell and how you can break it" he said taking a seat.
Loki stared at him waiting for him to continue, when he didn't he probed he to go on.
"Oh you want to know how to break the spell, but knowledge comes at a price"
"You're an angel! Aren't you supposed to do this out of the goodness of your heart!"
Michelangelo laughed as if it were the funnest thing he had ever heard, "Haha funny, you of all people should know that every creature is corrupt. Perhaps angels are the most corrupt, even worst then demons.
"Unfortunately the price isn't in my favor, but for my words you must promise upon Lady Luna that you will fulfill any quest I asks of you in the future. Do you agree?"
Making a deal with a demon would be less dangerous, but he was desperate.
"I agree"
"Excellent, Your particular glamour is very strong, a DarkOne's magic. Now that is rare, not many DarkOnes still possess true magic. Must have been a elder.
Anyway to free yourself from the curse you must spill your mates blood."
"Cut her?" Loki asked disgusted at the very idea.
"No you must,
"Kill Her"
