Deadly Darkness || Chapter Seven || Oh The Fun She'll Have

Quote:

How can I love when I have never been loved?

Kris stared unseeingly above at the wall, listening to his heart beat the little twitches he made as he slept. Or was he still in unconscious? She really didn't care. If she focused hard enough she could hear his blood rushing through his veins.

She was going through change, she knew she wasn't going to be all rainbows and sunshine or motherly to the boy - after all how do love when you have never been loved? - hadn't been like that since she was a child. No it wouldn't be her personality that would change, or her plans to kill all the DarkOnes wouldn't

She could alway just kill the boy, a grim smile crossed her face she couldn't kill him she made a promise she wouldn't break it. She knew what it felt like to have a promise broken.

Kris had killed many children before though only DarkOnes. When she was younger when her parents had scholars teacher every day it had been drummed into her that child were the light of the world and to never be harmed, no matter the species. In her mind, she was saving the children when DarkOnes died if they had done unspeakable evils they were send to the NeverWorld without question. On the other hand if they were fairly innocent their soul was placed on earth till they had made upon their evils and sent to the OtherSide. The NeverWorld unfortunately isn't where Peter pan lived with the lost boys and Wendy but was simply a void, no escape and never ending blackness. Those in the NeverWorld were tortured with their crimes making them feel all the pain they had inflicted.

People of all species if sent to the OtherWorld could choose to age - going both forwards and backwards in age - if they so wanted to. So if wasn't like they were missing out on life.

Kris had - and probably never - felt regret, shame or even guilt in her kills they were all justified one way or another.

It was a big chance Kris herself was going to the NeverWorld, but why worry about now? She'll worry about it when she - and if - she gets there.

The sound of the boys heart speeding up broken her concentration she forced back on his suddenly stiff form.

He was waking.

One thing she couldn't help but respect about the DarkOnes were that their children learnt how to defend themselves qt and early age they were taught in everything they would need to know as well as useless things that could save their live one day.

Her kind believed - as well as many others - believed children should be kept int he dark and away from the darkness that really is the world. She hated that. Don't they understand they are leaving their /'Most Priced Precious'/ be in harms way /because/ they are so bloody oblivious?

The boy sniffed the air again tensing when realizing he was in a small room with unfamiliar - and clearly deadly - person.

X

His back was facing the wall and he made no move to change this. Both a smart and fatally move, on one hand he probably thought she didn't know he was awake and on the other hand it could get him killed from the back, never seeing the one to end his life. The move logical side which everybody seems to dismiss, knew she was there, knew she knew he was awake, and knew he was planing something.

She felt the vibrations as he moved on the bed trying to move slowly unaware that she knew his every move, trying to get away unnoticed. She laid her back and rested comfortably in her arm chair acted as if she were a asleep.

He stood and made the mistake of moving to quickly and not thinking about his footing, causing noise. She would have to train that out of him. Subtle wasn't DarkOnes forte.

As sat still wondering what his nested move will be, and like any idiot he ran for the door making enough noise to wake a small village.

Just as his hands touched the door handle Kris moved quick as lightning as silent as the night and push him against the door.

His next moved was defiantly wasn't anything she was expecting. His high pitch screamed echo through her home. Kris dropped to her knee holding her head, internally scream at herself for be caught of for something as silly as a child's scream.

She trapped him around the throat and pinned him against the wall, her senses dulled in case he decide to scream again. Which had done.

"Shhh Boy you better shut up before I rip out your voice box through your neck" she whispered

He stilled almost instantly.

Kris dragged him to the kitchen grapped the rope she alway keep under the sink and tied the boy up to the only chair in the kitchen - a bar stool - also taking the duck tape so he would be able to speak.

Once she had him seated and firmly held down she begun to talk. "My name is Kris or as your many other will tell you Mors. I am not going to kill you, hurt you maybe but not kill you. You will listen to what I say because I am the ruler I have full control over whether you eat sleep or be killed so you /WILL/ listen. I don't take disobedience well. Know full well that I am not going to abuse I would never but you will be trained and in that process hurt, sometimes majorly but you will heal. (Mors = Death)

"I killed you family and I suppose everyone you've ever known." she said with a shrug of her shoulders, she didn't care, why would she?. "I have no objection against killing you other then my promise. You father gave me the direction to your base on the condition that I save your life. I did as I promised. But know I can and maybe will kill you at anytime I see fit. I don't care whether you cry grow up" she said her sightless eyes trained on his. "I'm going to take the duck tape of your mouth and allow you to take you scream and you will never talk again understood?"

At his nod she took off the duck tape in one quick movement.

"Ouch" was his first word, she supposed she could have taken in of move gently.

She felt the boy stare on her before he ask in soft but strong voice, "why keep me alive, I am a DarkOne you hate us. Why honor your promise to my dead father?"

Kris to some point had to admire the kid he stood - well sat - strong in front of the very person who had taken everything he knew away from him and could just as easily take his life with little too no fear.

Kris smiled, and when she did the kids heart speed up, a lesser enemy would have thought he was fearless. She was annoyed she couldn't even smile without him thinking she was going to kill him.

"I know what it like when a promise is broken Vlader" she heard his sharp inhale as is it was the first time she hadever said his name. "I'm going to untie you, you have free range of the house I'm going out. You have no chance of escape, and if you some who make it out of the house you will die for I will let you die in the tunnels, Okay? Good".

Kris pull out a large blade the size of her forearm which she had pulled from her knee high steel cap boots.

"No! No!" Valder shouted as she neared him, Kris simply rolled her eyes and contained towards him with the blade, 'Stupid Boy' she thought

Valder had his eyes closed as Kris brought the blade down ... Cutting the rope.

Kris heard Valder give a breath of relief as she didn't cut into him.

'Why would I kill him when I just made a speech about how I'm not going to' she thought, then again he had no reason to trust her he had watched as she kill his tribe.

"I know what it's like for a promise to be broken"

With that said she press a presser point on his back causing him to be immobile for five minute and left her through the tunnels no one but herself could escape.

Kris wolf moved through the shadowy green forest her paws barley touching the ground. To anyone watching she was just a blur even a vampire wouldn't have been able to keep up with her. She broke through the undergrowth and into a clearing - beautiful but not her destination. The moon shone off her silvery white fur her wolf large never stopping in her speed as she once again amerced herself within the trees.

She could feel the vibrations through the ground, her connection allow her to feel the nature. Kris could literally /feel/ the leaves and trees as the breathed. She could feel the small animals running to their burrows knowing an predator was around. She could hear the heartbeats of the larger creatures as the moved weary around the territory. Bears, mountain lions, cheetahs, wild wolves, wild shifters, deer and many more all called this place their territory and they knew if they were to come into a fight with her they would loses.

Fear ... She loved their fear. No! She loved fear in general. She loved making overs feel fear because she had felt that all her life.

She suddenly skidded just before the cliff drop down water was all that was in view for as far as the eye could see. Mist hang just above the crashing waves as if reaching above from the blacken depths.

Beautiful ... Yet in one unthoughtful move she could be plummeting to her death, no one ever knowing.

Kris swung her legs over the edge of the cliff staring down at the cliff, she smiled. It was faint barely there but it still was a smile.

Valder she didn't know what she was going to do about him, she could hardly look after her self let along another and a child at that.

Breathe.

In.

Out.

Again.

Soon Kris was asleep at what seemed like the edge of the earth.

A twig breaking caused her to wake she shot up and searched the surrounding forest, Kris let out a breath when a small white bunny hopped by and flopped back down to the ground.

After a few minutes of her just staring at the darken sky she jumped up and started the walk home.

Kris planted her feet shoulder width apart and took a deep breath, when she was sure that their were no creatures around she took off her shirt and let her wings come out.

Her black and midnight blue tipped wing shot her up into the air, she felt free the most when she flew - or was in wolf-form. Kris hardly used her wings unless she had too, she could flap her wings so fast while thinking of a place and be there in no time.

With that in mind she was home just in time to see ten men walk into the tunnels.

Kris's home was inside a mountain she had with the help of nature caved tunnels leading to her home, but to make sure if anybody ever found her home they wouldn't be able to find their way in Kris had made a series of tunnels where there we no real hope of ever getting out.

Her home was actually just straight until the first intersection and down. She when caving the place decide place a boulder - which didn't look out of place, there wasn't any smooth walls just rocks - against the wall and build a home beneath it.

Finally some fun.

She was going to kill them all.

Kris set off with a grin.

Nobody but she knew how to move through the tunnels, Jasper didn't even know. When she had first made the tunnels she had formed a sort of connection with the walls. Nature told her everything she needed to know but when she formed a connection with a certain place she could literary /see/. The walls, floors, plants, rocks and boulders, vines and roots, bugs and even dirt all were projected into her mind. It was the only time she could see, she was /really/ seeing it felt more like a memory like she was thinking of qn event the occurred before her blinding.

She only form three connections of this kind, one were she first felt her connections to Nature; the old broken water fountain in the castle right in the middle of the maze.

The second; where she first gain use of her wings, an abandon counsel building in there hidden library which had information on each and every living being.

And third and finally the tunnels - which includes her home - in was so powerful she could see and hear everything that was going on in those locations.

Kris was alway carrying weapons - knives and her ever present sword - so she didn't need to worry if her enemy had an weapons for themselves, not like it would help them anyway. If Kris wanted them dead she could have just had the tunnel walls squeeze them to death, but that took the frill of the kill, she craved that frill.

The men had clearly spilt up all going in different directions. In seconds she was behind a bulky man who was looking beyond lost. From his smell Kris could tell he was a half breed, DarkOne and vampire. Basic half breeds for the DarkOnes were slaves, though other species treated half breeds like everyone else sometimes they were protected for being weaker.

"Need some help" she asked leaning against the walls smirking.

They were all going to die,

"Oh The Fun She'll Have"

.......
