Coraline lived in Canada with her aunt and uncle. Until a new job opportunity was present to her uncle. He'd been offered a teaching position in Forks Washington. If wasn't for my aunt's love of small town, he probably wouldn't of accepted the job offer. So here they are in a seemingly borrowing town where nothing exciting would ever happened. But then Coraline found out the dark and supernatural history of the town. Along with the reservation near it. What happens when Coraline is imprinted on by Jacob Black?

Coraline's POV

I sigh as I lounge on my bed reading the book my uncle had gotten me. It's a book on Quileute legends. Their tribe lives on the reservation La Push near by. He knows I love learning about tribes and legends. Apparently the Quileutes are descended from wolves. Which would be cool if it were true. But I know not to take these legends seriously. Though I know the tribe would.

Anyway, where are my manners? I am Coraline Elizabeth Lupin, but my friends call me Cora for short. I just moved to Forks with my aunt and uncle. My aunt is a nurse and will getting a job at the local hospital. While my uncle is going to teach history at Forks High School. Where I'll be completing my what's left of my junior year as the new girl. What fun? Then there's still senior year to worry about next year.

"Coraline, come have breakfast or you'll be late for school!" my aunt calls from downstairs.

"Coming Aunt Eileen!" I call back closing the book and putting it in my school bag. I then head downstairs. I head to the kitchen. "Where's Uncle John?" I ask her.

"At the school, he had a meeting with the principle before his first class" she states.

"I still don't get why I have to start school now" I complain as I serve myself some toast. "I could just finish my junior year on line" I state.

"You know your parents wanted you to go to school" she reminds me.

"I know" I grumble.

"You could make some friends" she tells me.

"I'd rather just focus on surviving the first day" I tell her. "Are you starting today?" I ask her.

"Yes, I'm supposed to be meeting a Dr Cullen in.... Shit, ten minutes" she curses getting up.

"Then go, I can drive myself to school" I assure her.

"Ok sweetie, have a good first day and please try to enjoy yourself" she tells me. She kisses my cheek and rushes out the door. I finish my toast and rinse my plate. Before leaving the house and locking the door behind me. I then get into my VW Beetle and drive to school. It wasn't to hard to find. I park near the woods and get out.

I wasn't really paying attention to where I was going as I was trying to look for the office sign. When I bump into someone. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry" I state looking up at the tall rustic skinned boy with long black hair. Soft brown eyes.

"It's ok, are you new?" he asks me.

"Yeah, think you could point me to the office?" I ask him.

"I would, but I don't know where it is" he tells me and I frown in confusion. "I'm Jacob Black, I go to school on the rez. Just here to wish a friend happy birthday" he states.

"Oh, I'm Coraline Lupin. Do you think I could pick your brain sometime about tribal legends?" I ask him. He looks surprised. "Sorry, that was rather forward and I get that the legends are secrete to the tribe. But I've just always been fascinated by tribal legends" I tell him.

"Honestly, they're just scary stories. Nothing interesting" he tells me. "But if you really want to know, we could swap numbers and organize a time to hang out" he state.

"That'd be great" I state handing him my phone. He puts his number in. I thank him and send him a text. He saves my number and looks over my shoulder.

"Bella!" he calls and I turn to see a pale girl with long brown hair heading our way. With a smile.

"Hi Jacob" she says with a smile and hugs him. "Who's this?" she asks.

"Coraline, she's new to your school" he states.

"I should be getting to the front office, mind pointing me in the right direction?" I ask her.

"Sure, if you go inside. Take a left then a right" she tells me.

"Thank you Bella, anyway see you around Jacob" I say and leave them to it. I enter the school and turn left thinking about the chapter I was reading on the cold ones before school. If I ever believed the legends, it'd mean they're real too. But there's no proof of any of the legends being true. Maybe I'll look up cold ones on my computer at home after school? Just for research.

Suddenly I bump into someone. "Not again, I'm so sorry" I state looking up at a gorgeous guy with copper hair and golden eyes. Very pale skin. I've never seen any one like him before.

"It's fine, my fault" he states. "You new?" he asks.

"Yeah, just going to the office" I tell him.

"Just the next right. You'll see the sign" he tells me.

"Thank you..." I trail off.

"Edward" he says.

"Coraline, anyway thanks for the directions" I tell him and leave. I need to start paying more attention to my surroundings. His the second person I've bumped into this morning. But at least the two boys I bumped into were nice. Most school boys I've meet are jerks, like my ex from freshmen year in Canada.

I arrive at the office and get my schedule. Along with a form for all my teachers to sign, signalling I'd gone to my classes. Which I will have to drop off at the end of the day. I then found my locker and dropped off the books I wouldn't need until after lunch. Before going to my first class. I say a silent prayer before entering my first class, English. I see I share it with Bella and that Edward guy from earlier in the hallway. They are both sitting in the back row close together. Guess they're dating. Lucky them.
