For years, Shouto Todoroki has hated his father...

He hurt his mother...

Enji Todoroki used his power and influence to force a marriage with his future wife Rei.

A quirk marriage...

The purpose of this marriage was an attempt by Enji to conceive and raise a child with a powerful Quirk in order to surpass All Might. The marriage between the two was an unloving one and it was only done for Enji's personal desires.

Rei was forced to give birth to a daughter and two sons...

That's when Shouto was born...

He had to get an hybrid quirk between his parents and that's when the moment he was conceived, Enji Todoroki had set his plans.

Endeavor yells after he knocks the five year old Todoroki onto his knees with a blow to the stomach. Shouto cried out in pain as his mother comforts him.

She could only do what she can to protect her baby boy from her horrible husband.

Endeavor: HE'S ALREADY FIVE IF HE CAN'T TAKE THAT HE WON'T BE ABLE TO BEAT VILLAINS!!!

Rei: You can't expect a five year old to be able to fight Villains!!!

Rei then turn her attention to her son...

Rei: Are you okay? You'll be alright, I'm here.

Shouto: MOM!!!

Todorki's mother is met with the back of Endeavors hand and she is sent onto her back and out of that monsters way so that he can continue his training session.

Shouto also had little interaction with his older sibling due to Endeavor intervenes with that.

He remembered seeing their hurt looks...

The family had suffered so much under the abuse of Endeavor.

Rei and Shouto get abused while the others were neglected unless Endeavor tried something drastic. Like if one of Shouto's brothers stand up to Enji. They would either get hit, slapped, or burned.

Then...it got worse...

When Shouto's mother begin to act strange...

Shouto: As I remember it...Mom was always crying...

That bastard hurt her and put her through so much...

Shouto: Then when she looked at me...

She wasn't in her right mind...she was covered in bruises from the abuse she was put through.

Rei: "I can't stand to see that left side of yours..."

Before...She poured scalding water on his face.

After that incident, Endeavor put her in the hospital...

Todoroki now had a bandage now over one eye as he looked around for his mother but didn't see her.

Shouto: Where's Mom...

Endeavor: She hurt you, so I put her in a hospital.

"It's your fault."

He was the cause of all this...

At the accusation, Endeavor growled at him.

Endeavor: What?

Shouto: It's your fault mom hurt me!!!!

I HATE YOU.

I'LL NEVER FORGIVE YOU.

For years, no one else knew the reason why she was put in the hospital.

Doctors suspect the bruises she had was abused by Endeavor denied everything.

He say Rei made them herself.

For years, he cleared his name and ruined his children's lives...

Shouto refused to use fire...It reminded him so much of Endeavor. When he got to U.A. He only relied on his mothers quirk.

He thought he could become a better hero without using Endeavor's quirk.

Endeavor: You disgraced me Shouto...

That is...until the sports festival.

The green hair boy, Izuku Midoriya...

At first he thought he was stronger than him...

But Midoriya had his own tricks up his sleeves...

For years...His heart was ice cold...

Before he knocked Midoriya out of the ring, he said:

Then there was his father...Screaming at the top of his lungs like some crazed happy go lucky maniac from the stadium.

Endeavor: SHOUTO!!!! So you've finally accepted it! Yes! Excellent!! It all starts now for you! With my blood pumping through your veins, you will surpass me...you will fulfill my ambitions!!

Shut up...

Is what Shouto wanted to say.

Shouto didn't care what Endeavor wanted. So he decided then and there. He will forge his own path of being a hero.

He may have not won the sports tournament. But second place counts as okay. He'll could do better next-year.

Now with his classmates as his friends that he finally open up too.

And then there was Midoriya. He admired his courage despite facing danger head on. He come to see him as a true friend, ally, and rival.

What surprised him the most is his father.

To be honest...

His sister, Fuyumi told him the news...

In his thoughts, he was glad that his father finally threw his pride away and was redeeming himself. But it still was hard to believe the man believe something so simple as sorry would change his feelings for him.

Shouto: Ah?

Shouto was dashed out of his long forgotten thoughts noticing Midoriya was calling him.

Oh that's right...

They were supposed to be getting ready for their date.

Deku: Are you okay?

Shouto: I am now.

Deku:...Hmm...Okay. How about we go now...B-But if you want to freshen up more! That's okay I can wait! I can still give you more time! You probably had a lot on your mind and I'm sorry for-!

Shouto: Midoriya. You're rambling again.

Deku: O-Oh sorry.

Shouto: That's okay.

He doesn't care if Bakugo or anyone else finds it annoying. He finds it cute.

Deku: S-So what were you thinking of...?

Shouto: Just...some things about my father...

Midoriya made a frown at the mentioned of the new 'Number One Hero' since All Might is out of the picture.

Deku: Oh...Are you ever going to forgive him?

That...was a good question...

Should he even forgive him...After the past fifteen years of his life that Endeavor put him through...

He wasn't really sure...
