Louis didn't want to leave that night, though he did anyway, practically being forced to go home by both his mother and Jay, whom both told him he needed sleep. That didn't mean he drove all the way back to his and Harry's apartment. No, he just stayed at his mums house instead, as it was only about twenty minutes away from the hospital.

As a week went by, many people had been informed about the crash. All of the boys on Louis' football team had heard about it and had supported him. Yes, Louis did go back to school, he couldn't miss too many days as much as he wanted to.

Though what hit a nerve was the day after the crash, when the boy was on the couch with Lottie, watching the news when they started talking about the accident. Louis had wide eyes full of tears watching his angels car flip various times, and was silently crying with his sisters arms around him when he saw the paramedics pull the limp boy out of the car.

"Louis, you coming?" Niall asked, holding his bag on his back. Louis looked up from his awaiting phone, sliding it into his pocket as he walked towards the blonde boy, exiting the locker room with him and into the fresh crisp air.

"Actually, I'm gonna stop by my apartment and then I'll meet you there," he told his friend, quickly jogging through the parking lot and into his car, where he quickly stuck the keys into the ignition and took off.

As if on a mission, Louis raced through the apartment and into his and Harry's room. His eyes locked on Harry's dresser, and went over to it, carefully looking through the items on the top until he spotted the silver band. He picked it up, running his finger along the inside, feeling the engraved words on the inside. He remembered Harry taking the band off before getting into the shower the morning of the accident, as he didn't want the water to ruin it, even though it wouldn't have. Louis didn't care though, he loved the boys admiration of the ring.

Louis nuzzled his face into Harry's neck, pressing a light kiss to the showing skin. "They're so embarrassing," he groaned, obviously embarrassed by the way both of their parents took too many pictures of them since it was Harry's 18th birthday and they recently were on top of each other along with Daisy and Phoebe, all four engaging in a tickle fight until it was just Harry on Louis. The embarrassing part was that both of their mums took a picture of them when Harry stopped tickling him and he was just leaning over the older boy as he sat on his hips, both of them mumbling things to each other and sharing small kisses.

Harry chuckled, wrapping his arms around Louis' waist, "Especially my mum," he chuckled, smiling when Louis brought his head up and kissed him softly.

They were interrupted by one of the twins, "Uh, Lou, I think this fell out of your pocket or something," she told him, placing the silver band into his hand, which he instantly hid from Harry. It didn't go unnoticed.

"What was that?" he questioned curiously.

Louis sighed, not wanting to hide anything from his boyfriend. "Your present," he muttered.

"No!" the younger boy protested, "I thought we weren't doing presents!" he said, though couldn't help but grin.

"Oh, shush, you got me a birthday gift. You should be expecting a gift from me," Louis shot back playfully before standing up and pulling Harry with him. "C'mon!" he led the boy into the hallway where people couldn't sneak in on their conversation. "It was in a box but I guess it fell out. I honestly have no idea how it came out of my pocket," he started, "I just... We've been through so much and you know that I absolutely adore and love you so much and wouldn't be able to live without you. So I wanted to get you this," he explained, and then pulled the ring out, showing Harry, who gasped.

"Is that... like, a promise ring?" he asked, his voice small.

Louis nodded, "A promise to stay together and strong through the shit we go through," he chuckled, grinning at the obvious expression that told him Harry liked it. "Look at the inside."

Harry did, looking closer, and gasped once again seeing the words. 'F & A'.

"Forever and always?" he asked in admiration. Louis nodded. "I-I love it," the younger boy shook his head, and let Louis slip it onto his finger. He then grinned, and snaked his arms around his boyfriends waist, pulling him
close to press their lips together.

Louis sighed, and bit his lip before exiting the room, and jogging back out to his car. After driving off he turned the music on lowly, and cringed at every song that came on. Because for some reason each song was one of Harry's favorites or it reminded him of him in some way.

Louis turned the radio off and plugged his phone into the car speakers instead. He chose Harry's playlist, and Never Say Never came on. He remembered that song, specifically when he was listening to it when he was picking Harry up with Anne, Gemma, and Robin.

After the boys suicide attempt when he was sixteen, he was sort of "sent off" for a month. He was sent to a homy sort of hospital, that didn't even look like a hospital but a house instead, that the doctor told would help with his cutting and such. He said it in a comforting way, but both boys sadly knew that it was secretly along the lines of a "mental hospital" of some sort.

Harry could've been there longer, but since he was sometimes allowed visitors, only family, and his phone for a limited time it somehow helped him shorten the time there. The lady, or nurse, that often watched him had become slight friends with him as an employee to patient, and she claimed that it was obvious he just wanted to get better for his boyfriend.

Harry didn't want to go. But if you asked him now he wouldn't say he regretted it. It helped him get better. Plus, when he went in there he was prescribed a stronger medicine that helped with his Schizophrenia so much more.

Louis' fingers tapped repeatedly to the song of Never Say Never, on his thigh, which bounced up and down and up and down. He couldn't help but wish that Anne would just drive faster and get to Harry, whom he hadn't seen and barely talked to in a month.

After about five more minutes, Louis saw the beginning of a building, and saw the whole thing when the car pulled into the small parking lot. The sign that welcomed people, the green grass, with the old tire swing and deep red bench that no one used. But most of all the way that the building kept coming closer and closer until the car stopped, and Anne told Louis to go on inside. So he did, he sprinted out of the car, almost falling as he ran inside.

So when he found a curly haired boy standing with an older woman with a bag at his feet, and a smile on his face, it brought tears to Louis' eyes.

"Harry," he whispered. And although Harry didn't hear him he felt someone's presence, and turned to look at him.

"Louis," he gasped, and let out a choked sob, "Louis!" he exclaimed, and then he was suddenly in the older boys arms, both of them crying with joy and mumbling incoherent words.

"I love you I love you I love you I love you," Louis cried, pulling away with Harry's cheeks in his palms. He reached to the back of the boys neck, and connected their lips in a long needed kiss.

Since Harry was in their hometown visiting Jay, he went to the hospital that they had visited so many times already. Which meant that Louis had to drive through the small town, involving passing the tiny flower shop, that no longer was used but still sat there. He remembered the flowers that he had rushed to get from there on their one year anniversary, when Harry was a senior and he was just out of high school and waiting until the next year to move in with Louis and start working more full time at the bakery.

"Uhm I, do you have like dark dark pink roses?" he asked, biting his lip. The older woman smiled, and nodded, gesturing for him to wait a second.

So he did, and a minute later she came out with a small bouquet of roses, colored a dark shade of pink. "Got an evening out with someone special?" she chuckled nicely, "a girlfriend maybe?" the old woman asked, a smile on her face.

Louis' cheeks grew warm, "Uh no, my boyfriend actually. It's our one year," he pursed his lips.

The woman sighed but still smiled, brighter even, "I'm sorry love, I shouldn't of jumped to conclusions. My daughter has a friend whose son is gay as well. Though he probably has it harder than most," she paused, and Louis jumped in.

"How so?" he had asked her.

She tilted her head, "well, he's got a disorder. He was bullied for quite some time and was hurt a lot. Poor boy almost died recently as well. But he's such a sweet caring boy. I used see him a lot when he was a child and used to help his sister braid his curls. His boyfriend is amazing though, when I talked to his mother a while ago she told me he practically saved her son. I'm rambling on, I'm sorry," she chuckled, a warm smile plastered on her face as she rung up the price of the flowers.

Louis' eyebrows were furrowed, "Harry?" he asked quietly. The woman stopped, and looked at him.

"You know him?"

He blushed furiously, "he's my boyfriend," he told her. She gasped, and grinned at him, suddenly seeming to admire the boy now that she knew he was the infamous boyfriend of the boy. So she paid for the flowers against Louis' will, and wished him an amazing anniversary.

Louis bit his lip, trying not to think of things that related to his boyfriend. But he couldn't help it. In his eyes Harry was just so perfect, and anything and everything related to him in some way.

Like when Louis felt something soft, and always thought well Harry's curls are softer, or how when he saw the color red he didn't think about once bright red marks, but his dark red plump lips instead.

Though the one thing that he hated to think about was the hospital. Especially the one he was currently going to. Because Harry had been in hospitals practically all of his life, and every visit somehow seemed worse than the last.

But Louis tried washing those thoughts away and just thought about how at least he came out of that crash alive. And that he wasn't going to the hospital to be sad but to see his angel instead, even if he couldn't necessarily get a response from him back.
