Mark's POV

"Okay then is everything settled?" Yuta hyung asked, checking if all the equipments that we planned to bring is complete.

Hendery, who's starting the car's engine shouted from the driver's seat, "Everything is done hyung!"

After that most amazing training that I had, yes I call it most amazing because I really felt my skills improving and I felt amazed. Me, Yuta hyung and Hendery finally decided to head out to wherever we plan to go to search for Taeyong hyung.

Actually, the original plan was to do more training but it seems like Yuta hyung is in a hurry, saying that after this mission, he needs to do something else.

I wonder what it is.

"Okay, we'll go now." He smiled, "Mark."

Giving out a shy smile, I brought my bag up to my shoulder and walked inside the car, ever since that time when I impressed him, he always called my name.

Like, Mark, MArk, MARk, MaAAkk

You can do it.

But yeah shift to the serious stuff, we quickly drove away with Hendery as the driver.

Wow, we're at the same age but he got to drive while here's me, I still don't have a license.

"So, among the possible locations that we picked, where will we head first?" I asked, already feeling unfamiliar with the places.

It's been a while since I came here but my destination was only at the SuperM, at the City and that one time at the Castle which is also useless because my braincells didn't process the place that much.

What's happening to me? I'm blabbering nonsense.

"It's either he's with Jaehyun, or maybe with Red Velvet, or just somewhere hiding." Yuta hyung answered, unsure as well. "The nearest is the United Cluster so we'll head there first."

We got no leads.

The car drive was just quiet but full of tension, this is my first official mission as well so I  have to do a  good job.

Eyeing the place outside, I only see trees and more trees, we're passing through a deep forest, maybe this is a shortcut.

Suddenly, Yuta hyung's support started ringing, indicating that someone has called him, glancing at it to know the caller, he turned to Hendery, "Hendery, stop the car, I'll answer this call for a while."

Hendery nodded, "Sure hyung." Finding a place to park.

Get out of there.

What? Somebody whispered to my ears as if I have someone beside me, I'm alone here at the backseat, Yuta hyung is at the front seat.

"The brakes won't work."

"What?" Yuta hyung's eyes glared at Hendery who keeps on hitting the brakes but it won't work.

Hendery let out a groan, turning the car back to the path since we were about to hit the trees. "I swear, this was functioning when I last used it." He turned again, "Which was yesterday."

Yuta hyung clicked his tongue, "I checked this thing this morning and it had no defects." He focuses on the road too, "Keep driving."

See? I said get out of there.

There's the voice again, it sounded like a voice of a child but I don't see anyone.

"How will we stop?" I ignored the voice and just focused.

"We can't stop." Hendery replied, "Unless we hit a tree."

"There's a railroad crossing." Hyung checked his support, scanning the area for locations.

"Is there a train coming or passing?"

I noticed that both of them didn't reply so I just kept my gaze forward.

There's a train and it's so long that more than half of it is still not passing by.

Hendery suddenly spin the car and turned the stirring wheel to make a U turn, we nearly hit the train that the back of the car nearly slid passed at the surface of the train.

"We have to stop." Hendery informed us, "At the end of the jungle, there's a traffic at this time of the day."

I remembered the roads we passed before we sneaked to the jungle and yes, it's quiet crowded.

Nearly hitting a tree, Hendery turned the wheel again. "You guys have to jump, I have a plan."

Yuta hyung didn't agree, "I swear if it's one of those dumb things you do, I will kill you." Which of course, he didn't mean.

"I'm not sure of this too but we have to try." His eyes still on the road, "Mark, jump now."

Focusing on the road, he clicked his tongue, "It's a dead end." Referring to the trees lined up not far from here. "Jump."

"Fine." Yuta hyung opened the car's door, I just watched him suddenly jumping off and he hit the ground hard and he started to roll.

"Mark, go now! " Hendery shouted.

"What about you?" I asked, my hands opening the car's door.

"Don't worry about me, now jump."

Looking at the road again, my eyes shot in fear as we are nearing to hit a tree and we have no other routes to take.

Taking a deep breath, I jumped off from the car and landed on the leaves.

My eyes shot to Hendery, he suddenly turned the car and the right side of the car hit two trees.

The windshield and the windows broke and the pieces flew along the area, the car is not in the same shape anymore since it slammed to the trees.

Feeling a light sting on my head, I prayed that Hendery is still alive, he has to go out of there before something worse happens.

Slowly standing on my feet, I turned to my back to look for Yuta hyung but I saw no one.

He suddenly disappeared, maybe he went somewhere to get help quickly.

I ran to the car, letting out deep breaths and my eyes darted on the driver's seat.

And it opened.

It opened, revealing a man who let go of his seatbelt and fell to the ground.

"Hendery!" I ran, I dropped on my knees when I reached for him, checking if he has opens wounds or broken bones.

I heard him groan, the impact must have been so bad that he really felt this way

"My body hurts." He speaks breathlessly as I assisted him to sit down. "Where's Yuta hyung?"

I looked around again, "I'm not sure."

Forcing himself to stand up, I noticed that his head is bleeding, "We have to find him. We have to find help."

I helped him to go to a safe place, sitting in a root of a tree. "I'll try to find him and for some help. Just stay here."

He nodded and I started to walk away, still feeling pain in my body, I got light bruises.

This scenery is so familiar. Seems like I ran in these paths thousands of times. I feel nostalgic, it's my first time feeling like this since I stepped into the S World. And my mind is whispering that I should explore more.

As I go deeply into the woods I saw a great old tree.

I suddenly heard a sweet soft laugh coming from a little child. I tried to find the small voice laughing around the trees. Then as I turn around a pink paper plane landed just near where I am standing.

Out of curiosity, I picked it up and when I lifted my gaze I saw a small kid staring intently at me.

I'm surprised that a kid this small can go this far in the forest. Maybe he could help us. He smiled at me as if he knew that a person would come.

"Hello mister." the kid fished something from his pocket and reached his hand to me. "Do you want a watermelon candy?" I nodded, accepting the candy he is giving.

"Thank you." My curiosity went bigger when I saw a familiar pair of seagull eyebrows. "Where are your parents?" I asked him.

The kid turned, facing away from me and sat on a large root of the great old tree. "Mister, I actually have something to tell you." He gestured to sit beside him and I unconsciously obeyed him.

"It's about my dream." he happily said while clapping his tiny hands "In my dream, there was this big star." he spread his hands like explaining to me how big the star is.

"And that star loved the earth too much and it hugged the earth." he embraced himself.

He then gave me a frown, "but their love caused a big, big, biiig destruction." he clasped his hands together, imitating the explosions he must've heard in his dream.

He paused, staring right through my eyes "If something changed in the past then the change in the future would be twice bigger."

My eyebrows furrowed at what he said, as I was about to ask a question he quickly stood up and ran away.

"Hey kid!" I followed, I feel that he said something important.

And he looks exactly like me.

But younger.

Like a kid version, maybe like the eight years old me.

I focused my sight to him but just like the wind, he slowly faded and flew away.

I stopped, looking at his direction, my eyes settled upon a back of a guy, he didn't notice me so I just kept on walking.

Maybe it's Yuta hyung, but the clothes are different.

"Excuse me?" I asked the person.

He turned around, and I didn't expect to see someone so important that I nearly got into an accident because of him.

We searched the whole S world, wished for the time to stop so that we could take all our time finding him while Earth is at freeze.

We used all our knowledge the other SuperM members looked for him ever since the group formed and the news of earth ending came up.

He kept secrets, ran away from his problems and now I'm just going to find him here?

"Taeyong hyung?"

Even he is shocked too. Who knew that we will find him here? That, out of all the places we searched, we would find him here?

"Mark." He smiled with tears slowly forming in his eyes, which is odd.

"This was our hideout before." He calmly says, enhaling the sweet fresh scent of the air.  He pointed at an abandoned house located in the middle of the jungle, "Our parents wanted to hunt us so we hid and teleported to earth."

"Hyung, we searched everywhere for you, what happened?" I asked, sitting beside him and facing him.

He just kept quiet that my insides started panicking and I don't know why.

But his answer felt strange.

"I found myself." He answered.

"What?"

"I had a dream, it was about my whole life, though I felt paralized, my dream was full of whispers that I will never forget, it was about how I got lost with my hatred towards our parents." I heard him sigh and he pursed his lips into a thin line, maybe thinking of his dream.

I shrugged my questions off, I still need to find help, "Hyung, we got into an accident, we need help. Our car is down, Hendery is bleeding while Yuta hyung is gone missing."

This alarmed him "What?" He stood up, I just nodded and motioned him to follow me.

We arrived back to Hendery and he is still there, hands on his head.

I looked at Taeyong hyung to see how he'll react and I saw his eyes showed pity to Hendery.

"My car is available, I'll go get it. " Taeyong hyung said, walking away, "I'll contact Yuta."

A few minutes later, Taeyong hyung arrived with his car and we helped Hendery to get in, sealing him so that he's safe along the way.

"I contacted Yuta but he won't answer, though he sent me a voice message and said that he is safe and said that we should not find him." Taeyong hyung informed me, starting the engine as we left the area.

Silence surrounded us until I remembered something. "Hyung, why did you hide yourself?"

"I have my own questions to answer alone. I'm sorry." He replied, eyes focused on the road.

"No." I said, I don't mean to ask the reason why he suddenly left, "I mean, why did you hide the fact that we are brothers and you hold the ability to see the past?"

He stopped the car, looking down before turning his attention at me. "I can't help you save earth, I'm sorry."

What?

Without him I can't save earth, the future is useless without the past.

"Hyung, why?"

"If we will reset everything, our own lives will reset too, that means that there is a high possibility that we won't be brothers anymore." He explained.

But we live in the S World, not earth. "Our world won't be affected." I tried to defend.

"Our existence itself was a  regret, our parents didn't like to have sons who can see the future and the past. That's why they disowned us and we had to live this life. We won't be brothers if we will save the earth." He reasoned out.

"Hyung, we are supremes and it's our job to put Earth's safety before our own desires." I remembered Kai hyung's lessons.

"I don't wanna lose you."

I heard him proudly saying.

It struck me like lightning. It holds me like a tight rope that prevents myself from breathing. It made me feel loops that I never experienced before.

Because it made me feel that I am important.

Throughout this journey of me being a supreme but still in the training to be worthy as one, I faced people that looked down on me.

People that view me as a waste of time and a stress.

I lost hope countless of times even though I never showed it. Doubted my brother because of his never-ending lies.

His fake identity, the fake past he narrated to everyone whenever people ask him about his past.

I live in two worlds and wherever I go, I can't live without my brother.

Because like what he feels,

I don't wanna lose him too.
