It was a tranquil cold December night.
The vast sky was dark blue with little trace of twinkling stars.

Eleanor’s breath wavered as she thought of what might happen afterwards .
There he stood looking handsome in his oversized black shirt, rubbing his palms together which seems to be frozen.

The street lights illuminated on Eleanor’s flushed cheeks.

She’s always lucid, her tiny eyes reflects her emotions, her girly giggling interprets her words and her broad smile reveals her thoughts.

She has always been an open book and Williams didn’t find it difficult to understand her.

“What if he knows…?” She mumbled.

“What is it Eleanor?” His deep voice woke her up from her reverie.

She’s been fantasizing about him all evening and failed to notice she had reached her apartment.
Five long hours with him felt like few seconds.
Shocked by how much she observed him in the cinema instead of the big screen. She shouldn’t be feeling this way towards her best friend. She waved the thoughts away and answered. “Nothing…” With a big smile.

William chuckled, something about the way he sounds made her tummy churn.
She felt her heart beat faster by the second he moved closer and whispered in her ears.

Her eyes lit with enthusiasm. “I would love to.” She bit her lower lip and tuck in few strands of hair beneath her ear.

She doesn’t need to see the fireworks with him for they are exploding in her head.

Doesn’t need to be scared of the future for she may enjoy the present and what they feel is mutual.

“Would you feel irritated if I told you I like you?” He had whispered such silly questions in her ear.

She definitely wouldn’t for she felt the same way.
