Warning this chapter actually sucks

"Come sail away, come sail away, come sail away with me!" I sang while chewing my club sandwich. 

Our conference was on a lunch break and because all he girls that i'd made acquaintance with here decided to not show up today i was on my own.

I sat on a chair alone swinging my head side to side, my feet tapping and my sandwich in my hand. I was in such a good mood.

While in my little happy bubble my eyes connected with blue ones. They belonged to a blonde dark haired man. He wasn't that tall but he was definitely i looker. I had seen him throughout the day looking at me and being polite i smile back. 

As i smiled at him he grinned back before approaching me.

"Hello,I'm Rique .  I couldn't help but stare at you from across the room. i'm sorry if you were getting freaked out, but you have the happy aura about you that i couldn't resist." He said smiling.

I stood up and shook his hands "Hi, i'm Laura,and thank you.... i think?" 

"So what's a beautiful woman like you doing here all by yourself. Lunch is when you're suppsed to be  socializing." He said with a slight smirk.

"Minding her own business." A voice behind us spoke causing Both Rique and myself to jump.

"Ross?" What the hell was he doing here. Ross was standing there in a rolled up Dress shirt A black Pants. His face showed annoyance as he glared down at Rique. When his brown eyes flickered to mine they softened.

"I'm here to take you out to lunch." He said taking a step towards me before wrapping his arm around my waist, drawing me close to him. "Who's this?"

I couldn't tell his mood being the question. Was he angry? was he jealous?

"Uh hi, I'm Rique, i uh, i saw Laura here by herself so i was gonna keep her company." Rique said scratching the back of his neck. Nervousness marked all over his face.

"Thank you for your consideration. But she won't be needing it." Ross said before turning us around and walking out of the building.

"That was so rude." I smacked him as we sat in his black range rover.

"It was i was merely stating facts." 

"But you didn't have to be so rude about it."

"I didn't appreciate the way he was eye raping you Laura. You're mine." His was so stern. 

"To lunch. I missed you." His voice was now soft.

I grinned and placed my hands on his thigh "I missed you too."

We had both finished eating as he drove me back to the conference center.

"So they're something i want to ask you." He said with a smile on his face.

"And what's that handsome?"

"So every time i'm here in England, i take a trip to the Orphanage to visit the kids and i wanted to know if you'd like to come with me this time?"

My eyes widened slightly. Ross was asking me to come with him to the orphanage. In  knew that  in a sense this was sacred to him. And now being his girlfriend, I had to be there for him.

"Of course Ross. I'd love to join you."

"Ross my dear, it's so good to see you again." My hands were in Ross' as we stood inside the orphanage.  The screams and laughter of the kids could be heard making me slightly nervous.

"It's good to see you too miss Hardin. This is Laura Marano." Ross said introducing me to the older female. She had red hair with and her chubby face looked so am and welcoming.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Ms. Marano. You can just call me Heather. No matter how many times  I tell Ross here to call me heather he fails to." She said taking my hand in a shake.

"Call me Laura. It's a pleasure to meet you as well Heather."

She smiled at me calling her first name "Makes me feel young. Let's go see the kiddies then."

Ross took my hand back in his as we followed Heather through a door. "The kids are here for different many different reasons. And they aren't shy once you get to know them. Just try as much as possible to not let them sense you nervousness, It makes them nervous too."

I listen to what ross was saying before my eyes glance at a picture frame on the wall. I halt my footsteps simultaneously stopping Ross as well since he was holding my hand. I tip toed a bit to read the fine print before gasping and turning to Ross. "You own this orphanage?"

He nodded slightly "Not really own, but more or less founded. I keep telling them to take it down, but they keep saying something about giving the kids hope and being proud."

"I never knew that before." none of my previous research had never shown me anything about Ross founding an orphanage. 

"And they're others." Heather said obviously eavesdropping on our conversation. When Ross turned to her and rolled his eyes playfully she laughed and walked ahead  before saying "Guess who's here kids?" 

My nervousness was instantly replaced with excitement after hear the voices of children shouting Ross' name.

When we entered the room Ross dropped my hand and instantly he was surrounded by children of all ages. Excitement shown on their faces as they stared up at him. 

It took about five minutes for them to settle down and some went back to what they were doing before. 

i loud gasp was hear from a pretty curly dark haired girl. her green as wide as she stared at me "Is this your girlfriend Ross?" She asked as she pointed at me. The other little girls started repeating the same questions  to him before he answered them "Yes she is, This is Laura guys." 

instantly i was ushered into different conversation from the girls. 

by the time It was time to go, it was during the kids bath time before supper and we literally had to escape or they wouldn't let us go.

"That was amazing, they're so sweet." I said to  Ross as he  wiped his face. he had just finished a game of basket ball with the teenage boys.

"Yeah, they have a way of tugging with at your heart." He said as we pulled off.

"I'm happy that you shared that experience with me." I said taking his hand and placing a kiss on it.

I look forward to spending more time with him like this. i love that he'd show me this part of his life, that he was so humble about. Another thing i loved about him
