Watcher
Out yonder, past the back door,
Through the bush garden mazes,
Right behind the tall, wooden fence,
Someone is watching me through a peep-hole.
I move in front of the window,
White curtains spread open,
Sunlight hitting my face,
Wondering if it really is you.
Only you would stare at me
In the middle of the day.
I feel your eyes moving down my body.
I sense those thoughts of seduction running through your head.
Why did you have to come back to stare at me again?
Just go away from behind that fence.
You don't live here anymore.
The door is locked tight; the windows are shut.
You can't get in.
There is nothing left for you here.
If you leave, I'll pretend you were never there.
