The Prolouge

The elvish girl hummed as she worked, carrying the stag corpse over her shoulder, using magic to help her as she walked through the forest. Her home was hidden away, but convenient for her... and certain visitors who tended to crash there for healing. Speaking of...

"Again?" she asked, amused as she set her kill down, smiling at the tall winged man. He chuckled wryly, his gruff voice sounding tired yet amused. "It was a difficult fight, and you're the best healer I know that won't attack us." The girl sighed and shook her head. "Who's the most injured?" Here he looked away sheepishly and revealed the glowing green, angry wound on his side. At this point she was used to this and simply groaned, pulling out bandages and the staff she had found, exploring that frigid wasteland. (That was a story for another day.)

He soon had the demonic energies removed from the wound and she was stopping the bleeding, humming a little tune as she worked. He was used to this, but it never ceased to amaze him just how good she was at this. He heard a familiar bark while she worked and looked up, where the owl companion was watching, a toad dangling from her beak. "I see I'm not the only one who had a successful hunt." he said idly, making the girl look up.

"Heya Hedwig." Hedwig barked in reply, flapping her wings and ignoring the man as she tore into her meal. Illidan Stormrage chuckled a bit, looking down at his companion. Eva Potter ignored him with ease as she finished patching him up. "I'm surprised Kayne wasn't with you." she said as she straightened up, looking at his blindfolded eyes. "This was a solo mission. I left Kayne in charge of the Illidari." he explained as he looked at his side. Eva noticed him going to poke it and shook her head, smacking his hand gently. "No. Let the tears work." she said sternly. He just grumbled and shook his head.

Eva went to go get her kill, after making certain Aluneth was settled. Honestly, the staff was so bitchy she was surprised they got along so well. Illidan also seemed surprised at how much Aluneth seemed to like the hunter-mage. Maybe it was due to the power she had....

Eva came back in after using magic to preserve the meat, humming. Illidan at this point was poking around, acting so much like a cat it made her laugh mentally. The demon hunter was prickly for sure, but he was surprisingly not a bad person. Made a few poor choices, sure. She had made her own; a certain redhead and brunette came to mind. But he became all the stronger for it, and was trying to help. Speaking of...

"Remember how we met?" she asked, grinning a bit. Illidan snorted. "How could I forget? A mere child, lost in the Twisting Nether with naught but a sword." he said, sounding derisive. Eva smirked wider. "Hey, I survived just fine for a while." "Yes, but you were near death when found." That made her pout.

Looking back.... Wow, that had been so long ago. So very, very long ago....
