1. Decide what you want to write about

An idea is the most important part of writing. What characters will you have? What genre will it be? Will it be mature or non-mature? Just give whatever you got! If it's a bad idea, expand it! There's no such thing as a bad idea, so if you want, experiment! 

2. Determine the best format for your topic

Format is a great choice! If you want a freestyle, a haiku, or whatever else, write it! Whatever it is, just do it. Every format is a great new way. Explore different formats. Create whatever it is that'll make your author dreams come true! Show yourself. Most people get their ideas from their feelings. Maybe you're a poet who needs confidence. Try writing poetry! It'll be a great way to show the world about your problems.

And, even if you're a hard worker, you'll get people to notice you! Everyone ready to write? Let's do this!

3. Explore words, themes, and rhythm. 

Words I suggest will be anything that has to do with nature. If it's sad, write down something about death. If it's a love poem, use words like 'care' and 'brave' and even sentences. Like maybe, 'because I love you, I. . ." or "Even though you. . . I care more . . . "

Express yourself! Use what muscles you've got. And don't forget, there's absolutley no such thing as a bad poet!

4. Write the poem

Add everything you're thinking. Show about how much you care. Give advice, strong pronouns and action words. Maybe even a character or animal could be featured in the poem! Right now, just write it! 

I know you got what it takes, okay? You can do this!

5. Edit what you've written!

Editing is a very important part of the human writer mind. It's not about how many mistakes you make, it's about how many times you practice.

So, edit, edit, edit. Make multiple drafts. And when you create your best work, or even debut collection, publish it!
