Chapter 1 | Terrasie Ersten
My world...My cell..I can't even tell the difference anymore...I lost track after the first month here...The days all blur together and It seems like everyday could be my last...The cell is cold....so very cold...It was getting harder to breath...It felt as though my lungs had frozen over...
I used to have a family, Friends, Maybe even a crush...But it's not like it matters anymore...My mother is dead, my Older-Brother went missing not to long after that...and my father...He is as good as dead to me. My so called Friends abandoned me after my mom died. They did nothing to stop me. The moment my mother took her dying breath, My world and almost everything in it went up in a puff of smoke. My life had passed me by since the ago of seven...For six years everything's been in Black and white.
The only true friend I had...His name was Jeke Livingston, and what happened to him...I do not know... All I know is that he stayed by my side up until a few months back. At the time I was brought here, He was taken somewhere else. I wish I could see him again....At least see what state he is in...
When I looked down, My hair spilled out in front of my face. The normally lilac color had changed to a near crimson color, Soaked through with my own blood. After I looked up again, I took in what my cell looked like this time, My eyes adjusting to the pitch black room.
The walls had more cracks then ever, The dip in the middle of the room was filled with frozen water. And below me was a puddle of dried up blood, My own blood.
But, I deserve this, After all.... I am a murderer.

It was quiet...The night my life had changed. Some would say the perfect day. But for me....It was a living hell. I had been in my room, With my older brother in his bed above me on the top bunk. This was the night the 'Hell Plague' broke out.
I had woke up that night, August 31st if I remember correctly. I immediately rushed over to mother's room, having had a nightmare...But, when I got there, I had been Scarred for life. There was my mother, Covered In Blue flames, screaming a silent scream. I had tried to help, but the more I tried, the more they burned her. Within three more minutes, my mother...was dead.
My brother had told me that I had freaked and Gone rogue, And The police had to restrain me. That resulted in the two identical scars going from the blades of my shoulders to the two sides of the small of my back. And when I touched the flames to help mother, my hair turned from Jet black to Lilac Purple. Another change that happened to me, in appearance, was my eyes; They changed from Dark Blue to Violet.
After I had been retrained, I had been sent back home, Once the deemed me safe. After a few months, The other person in my street who was affected by the 'Hell Plague' , Jeke and I ran away from home. At that time, He was an eight year old and I was seven. The way Jeke had been affected by the plague had been very, very sad indeed.
Jeke's Mother, Father and Older sister had all died, leaving him an orphan. He, like me, had gone rogue, and he had to be restrained as well. He got scars on his left and right arm, both in the same spot on each separate arm. His normal light brown hair, had gotten Blood-Red streaks going through it. His normally forest green eyes, changed to Onyx black eyes, so much like the tunnels of darkness that consumed me in sleep.
A few weeks after we ran away, we came into the town of Aono in The country Anitilo, which was the country bordering the one we left. We had planned to stay for a week at most. That night, I had my first real dream in months.
'Terra. Walk to the flames.' Jeke said, but it wasn't his voice, it was something more demonic. 'Yeah, Terrasie, go to the pretty flames.' Nicholas, my older brother, said, but like Jeke, his voice was completely different, more demonic and dark. 'B-But...I don't want to go near the flames...!' I shouted at them, the fear and desperation clear in my voice. 'Touch the Flames, Terrasie!' Nicholas shouted, the anger and bloodlust clear in both his voice and his eyes. Before I could answer him, I was pushed towards the flames. The heat burned me, Yet healed me as well. It was as hot a white metal, but it also felt like grass on a sunny day. 'Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!' That was the sound I heard as the dream faded to black.
Then I awoke, gasping for air, and opening my eyes, expecting to see only the stars. But instead was greeted by the sight of Blue and Purple flames engulfing me. I tried to call for help, or at least get the flames away from me, but they covered my entire body in mere seconds. I could do nothing as the control over my body was taken away from me.
That night, they say a demon covered in Lilac and Blue flames burned the town of Aono to the ground, but in reality, it had just been me; Terrasie Hope Ersten.
