Traptanium chains

(Flameslinger POV)

"....inger.... Flame.... Flameslinger!"

I suddenly woke up to someone screaming my name. My eyes shot open, and I looked around to see I was in a dark room. My weapons, boots, and blindfold missing. I was chained up in some kind of metal arch next to Spyro. He was chained up too, he looked weak. We were chained to the arches with bright traptanium chains, mine red, his purple. I suddenly felt weak myself as I struggled to hold myself up.

"They got us in our sleep," he said, "cowards...." "Where... Are we...." I asked, my voice raspy. "I don't know..." Spyro admitted, "but the drow that brought us here chained us, Cynder and Stealth to these arches, the others were carried off like standard prisoners. They also took the girls somewhere else. I couldn't breathe fire and I couldn't stop them..." He said, hanging his head in shame, "None of us could..." "Don't be hard on yourself," I said, "it's no one's fault, we're going to find a way out," I tried to assure him. However the door opened, and a burly troll walked in followed by drow. "You're finally awake freak," he said, "the mistress will see you now that you're up." I glared firey daggers at him, of course it was her. I didn't say a word as they pushed the metal arch with wheels towards her camber, others following with Spyro. As we passed a corner, even more drow joined, pushing two more arches behind us. It was Stealth and Cynder chained to them. Looks of worry and frustration filled my friends' faces as they brought us into the main chamber.

"I was wondering when I'd see you again," said Kaosandra as she walked up to me, pinching my cheeks. I glared at her, resulting in a smug grin. "You could never escape me, you were bound to return where you belong eventually," she said, turning to the others, "and your friends may or may not join you, isn't that exciting!?" She continued messing with my face, and before she knew it I spat at her, get her between the eyes.

She didn't hesitate to strike me, though I didn't flinch. "You insolent pig! I'll have your ears made into rawhide for that!" I only smiled, I've actually wanted to do something like that for a long time. She scoffed, turning her attention to Spyro.

"You've grown pretty well," she said, "how have you been fairing as Eon's little lap dog?" He growled at her, making her laugh. "If it wasn't for him, you'd have been a loyal minion, you know that?" She rubbed a spot on her back, making my eyes widen as she moved to Cynder. "Of course, I'm surprised you ran off from your father, I didn't think you'd run away from your destiny like that, you could have had Skylands in the palm of your claw," she said, holding the dragon's chin. "Lies!" Cynder snapped, "I refuse to see him as my father, I know he isn't, he never will be!" Kaosandra laughed, "keep dreaming kid." However I knew Cynder was right, Kaosandra was lying. My glare hardened as she made her way to Stealth elf last. "And you...." She said, "you've grown up quite beautifully, haven't you?" She ran her fingers along Stealth elf's cheek, making her squirm. "You would have grown up to be a beautiful blade witch. It's a shame really..." She said. She made sure to make Stealth elf as uncomfortable as possible as she touched her.

I felt different all of a sudden... I felt... Mad.

"It was you..." I said, Kaosandra stopping and turning to me. "Oh? What's this? My little pet has finally decided to speak?" She said, her attention on me once more. "It was always you..." I said, "You stole them from us!"

She seemed confused, but her eyes widened in realization. "Perhaps I did," she said, "I remember being there as your house was burning, watching your parents die slowly.... Enjoying every second as he watched the wagon carry you away...." She held her face up to mine, my face twisting with anger. "He was crying you know, knowing he'd never see you again... I was there as it happened to all four of you.

She walked back towards her chair smiling, my head hung low as my friends looked at her in disbelief.

It all made sense to me now.

She killed our parents. She killed them all...

I clenched my fists, a low growl coming from me as she contemplated what to do with us.
