Rough training

A Skylander's mission is to defend Skylands and it's people. Natural disasters, villains, the mysterious corruption, you name it, a Skylander must be prepared to fight and rescue. The rescue training was easy, I was always breaking my records in all areas of rescue. First it started with test dummies, then other Skylanders would volunteer as I rescued them from makeshift death traps and other scenarios. Roller brawl kept using the opportunity to flirt with me. She's a huge flirt, however she's saving the dirty stuff for her "soul mate" as she describes it. However it got annoying after awhile, so the others temporarily banned her from rescue training.

Next was escape training. Having other Skylanders save you is nice, but you have to make sure that's your only option first. In other words, if you think you can manage to escape from enemy capture, do it. However if you find yourself unable to, that's when you have no choice but to wait. This training was also fairly easy.

Next was the gym. This is where things got a little bit rough. While most Skylanders have the option not to join the gym, Jet-vac insisted I start doing a little weightlifting and such. First, he made me do push ups, followed by sit-ups (100 each). By that time my body would be crying out and burning as I did 100 reps on the pull up bar. The last part however, is what I dreaded most...

The bench press.

My first day, I almost choked myself because it slipped from my hands. Lightning rod (that blue jerk in the cloud) stood there snickering a bit before coming to help Jet-vac get it off of me. If the bird makes me do this how come he struggles? The only reason he said I was doing this was so I could shoot my bow with more strength. I guess that's a good reason, though in my head I imagined us switching places.

Combat training was also pretty challenging, but in a fun way. It started with target practice, in other words me hitting enough bullseyes to upset Lightning rod. However it was sparring with other Skylanders that really got interesting. I learned quickly how to adapt to new kinds of opponents, and how to fight without my bow if need be. Instead of boxing like Terrafin, I learned most of my hand to hand combat from Stealth elf, who taught me martial arts. I also learned plenty of other tricks from her, and she inspired me to find new ways to use my abilities.

After ten weeks of tough training, Eon soon decided I was ready. Soon I'd be going on my first mission.
