Twenty-One

"Suki? Shouldn't you be with the other girls for their daily lessons?" The General questioned as he was taking a few things from his office.

The warrior bit her lip nervously, "I wanted to speak to you about a few things," She stated as he stopped and sat down the items. He knew exactly what she was referring to as he gestured her to take a seat."Not wanting to give away few people's identities, but I was wondering that if you and the prince can join our side of the war. I know you are not in favor of the FireLord and his actions,"

The general listened closely to her words, "Suki and what exactly brings you to that conclusion?" He questioned waiting on her response.

"The prince and I, we have been close friends. I don't know how you feel about this but the whole time I was helping him and talking to him as an ailed. As a friend to be exact," She cleared it out.

"Yes, I'm aware that your views has brought my boy to some senses, and I thank you for that, he never did always listen to everything I said," The old man thanked as he gave the warrior a smile.

Suki sent him a sent back as she did wanted the general on her side. Those days in the palace she heard of many things about the general and if they were all one she can guarantee protection for him and the prince from her warriors, "You are such a good man, and I can see where the prince gets that from," She admitted as the general flustered a bit.

"No, I have my wrongdoings, he got that all from my sister-in-law, Ursa, she was such a kind women," He explained as he remembered the old days.

"So, can I count you on our side of this war?" She questioned.

He got up from his chair, "Of course," he extended his arm out as she shook it with a big smile on her face, "Now, you should head back to the others, we don't want anyone to be suspicious about this," he motioned as the warrior nodded and headed out of his office.

Meanwhile with a certain princess, "You are doing a terrible job at this!" The princess shouted to the emotionless girl, "You are supposed to be his top choice, but I see the way he looks at that stupid water tribe girl," She rambled.

"She's from Ba Sing Se," Mai corrected,

"No, she's not, there's something about her that makes it seem that she's lying about her identity. She has motives because we all know no girl would even step out of the water tribe," Azula explained, "You don't happen to know anything, correct?"

Mai looked at her supposed best friend and shook her head. She was loyal to the princess, but as time kept passing by, she began to see her true colors, "Katara is very reserved and generic about her past and herself, in general,"

"You say that, but I seen Zuko sneak into her room many nights. I don't see him visiting you or the other girls," Azula explained as Mai looked away almost jealous, "Also, that stupid warrior has been sneaking around, and I haven't exactly pinpointed where but that will soon be revealed,"

Mai stood there as she knew the princess had been watching all of them. What worried her the most about was Varo, "Have you suspected anything about Varo?" She questioned.

A snicker escaped her lips, "That child is practically no danger to us. She is the least of my worries," Azula answered blatantly.

"I have to get going," Mai stayed as she turned around and headed back inside, where she heard Azula mumble a few things before she turned and left. She could make out what she said, and it was rather disturbing if she had to be honest.

She entered inside the room where Katara and Varo were currently quiet and waiting on one of the old hags to come in. The tension in the room was thick and very noticeable as Mai took a seat beside Varo. She would of assumed that Varo would be next to the brunette.

"Where's Suki?" Varo questioned as she looked around.

Both Katara and Mai looked up as they made eye contact. Mai couldn't help but slightly dislike her. She was able to get the prince in such a short time, whereas Mai had always liked him since they were just kids.

But, Mai knew damn well she couldn't hate Katara, the water tribe sent her a small smile that was sincere. She couldn't blame Zuko for falling for her. She had such amazing qualities that Mai didn't have.

She could voice her opinions. She is determined, headstrong, and especially showed emotions. Something that Mai lacked of.

"She probably slept in," Katara answered as Varo didn't respond back but instead looked at her fingers. She kind of reminded Mai of her little brother.

Both energetic and cheerful.

But, they had their moments where they both played with their fingers when at an uncomfortable moment or rather awkward.

"Sorry, I'm late," Suki apologized as she entered the room with both the old twins behind her. They gestured for her to take a seat while they began.

"So, you and my sister..." Sokka questioned as he blocked Zuko's sword. The two were currently training with their sword skills at the beach.

"What about Kat?" He asked as he took a step back.

Sokka leaned forward with a swift movement, "Did you and her..." He made some squeaky noise with his mouth as the prince stood there confused. Sokka sighed as he placed his sword down, "Are you for real?"

The prince placed his down, " Oh, you mean have sex, right?" He asked as the soldier nodded, " No, we haven't. I was thinking of waiting till we get married," He explained knowing that Sokka would love to hear that answer.

And, he was right as Sokka clapped his hands together, "Yes, I agree with you wholeheartedly!" He exclaimed while the prince rolled his eyes.

"Right, even though you and Suki have done the eee oo," The prince mocked the sound Sokka had made with a smirk appearing on his face.

Sokka couldn't take him serious as he began to laugh, "That's not how I sound," He exclaimed as he held his stomach from his laughter, "Besides what's it to you, she's not your sister,"

The prince chuckled, "I don't think you would like someone like Azula, anyways," He teased as Sokka shuddered at the thought.

"You both are so different, that I forgot you were her brother," He admitted as he grabbed his sword and placed its cover, "It's a good thing since your sister is kind of crazy,"

"Kind of?"

"That girl a sociopath," He commented as the prince followed the soldier back inside the house.

"Let's go see how the girls are doing," Zuko stated as they entered a different hall where they spotted the girl's currently sitting in tables.

Sokka looked at the glass, "This is so weird. How do you guys casually have a hidden window," He commented, looking at the golden rims of the rectangular shape.

"This is a training room, and the FireLord usually liked it when no one was in the room. He also liked it, so when Azula or I trained, he can see it for himself without us knowing," The firebender explained.

Sokka remained quiet as the words suck into his mind, "Your father was the abusive kind, wasn't he?" He concluded as the prince nodded his head.

"Some guys don't deserve to be fathers, I swear," Sokka mumbled under his breath as he recalled his father leaving to fight the endless war. What anger him was that he left a day after his mother died, and not once has he returned.

"But seeing them teaches you how to better raise your kids later on in life," Zuko explained as his arms were crossed and his eyes were looking directly at the water tribe maiden.

"Damn, my sister really has you tied around her finger," Sokka teased as the two chuckled.
