Chapter 3
The human world was interesting. Jungkook explored the city as much as he could. As much as he wanted to admire everything, he just had too much to see. He could finally experience the weather and everything the others talked about.
Out of everything, the food was Jungkook's favorite part. They had so many varieties and if he had his way he would have tasted everything in one go, but Yoongi had put a stop to his big appetite, chastising him to behave like a human.
So far, his daily adventures were fun. He was still getting used to everything here and learning to adjust among the humans under Yoongi's careful observation. Despite the number of classes he has attended over the years, it wasn't easy to contain his excitement when he encountered new things for the first time in his two-hundred years of existence.
He found everything intriguing. If he had spent an entire day chasing after little animals in the streets, Yoongi hadn't said anything.
The cats on the streets were cute little things at first sight, but in reality, they were worse than Cerberus, ready to claw him with a hiss deadlier than little Havoc.
As for the birds, they were tiny little things that liked to poop on everything. They seemed to dislike him for some reason though. Especially that yellow Macaw in the pet store down the street that despised him with its entire existence. It went as far as to call him some strange things but Jungkook would let it slide because it was beautiful with colorful feathers and pleasing to his eyes.
The dogs were far better though. They were either overfriendly or the opposite. Many seemed to like him so far. He liked them so much that he even considered adopting one as a companion to Cerberus.
Speaking of which, the black python, his little baby that always curled around his arm or torso in the form of a tattoo, was now curled on the throw pillow that was on Yoongi's couch. It was the only thing he was allowed to bring with him from the underworld.
For the most part, it was harmless. As harmless as a black python could ever be. Usually, Havoc was a good listener, unlike Cerberus. He missed him the most.
"Why can't I take Cerberus though? He's a nice boy," he had reasoned for hours only to be turned down by both his father and brother.
It wasn't his fault that Cerberus only listened to him. Even his father and brother often had trouble controlling the hellhound that they always had to summon him.
At least he had Havoc. He hoped life would be less boring with Havoc as a company. He threw his legs on top of the antique coffee table, digging into the bowl of chips.
He must admit his brother had a certain taste when it came to furniture and the interior. Yoongi lived twenty minutes away from his dorms in a high-rise building with a beautiful view of the city.
"Why can't I just live with you?" he whined for the umpteenth time.
"Then you would be so dependent on me for everything instead of finding your path," Yoongi explained, calm as ever without a hint of annoyance.
"But I already know my path. It's following you and being your best soldier." He balled his fists and flexed his biceps.
"I don't doubt it, little one." Yoongi rolled his eyes. "You haven't even been exposed to all the sins of the world yet. We shall revisit this conversation in a few years."
Jungkook exhaled loudly, eyes fixated on this new series Yoongi was binging today. It was boring to him but he didn't understand what Yoongi found so interesting. He reached out to caress the leathery skin of Havoc when the main lead suddenly yelled, "Oh, my God!"
A frown tugged at his lips. "Humans are so obsessed with Uncle," he said. "They keep calling him for anything and everything. It's annoying. Dad is much cooler than Uncle is."
Yoongi chuckled under his breath. "He is cool to you because you're his son."
"Still..." He shrugged. "Who is this Jeon anyway? Why do I have to adopt a surname?"
Yoongi looked unbothered as he answered. "Majority of the humans have a surname. We need one to fit in."
Jungkook huffed. "Yours is Min?"
"Yeah."
A sudden thought crossed his mind. He turned his entire body toward his brother with a curious smile. "Speaking of sins... have you had sex with humans before?"
Yoongi lifted a brow, a smug look crossing his face. "Thinking about sex already?"
Jungkook grinned sheepishly. "Can you blame me? They all look beautiful and their skin is soft."
"Only on the exterior," Yoongi warned. "Humans are viler than the creatures born in hell. You must be very careful, Jungkook. Especially if you want to have sex. You must be in control of your emotions all the time."
Jungkook nodded in understanding. Since it was directly connected to his emotional state, he might risk exposing his powers if he wasn't careful.
Well, Yoongi didn't think humans would fancy a demon sprouting fangs or horns in the middle of sex. It was strange though. The hell creatures found these features arousing. Also, his onyx eyes tended to change colors depending on his mood. Specs of gold would often bleed into his irises if he were aroused or furious. So he would have to take several protective measures.
"Do not sleep with the same partner twice. I'd advise you to cover their eyes or fuck them from behind. It'd be easier that way," Yoongi continued. "Choosing drunken ones will make your life easier. If you accidentally exposed yourself, then you would have to erase their memory. But human minds are delicate, so you have to handle it with care."
As Jungkook listened to Yoongi explaining about human anatomy and their sexual preferences, Jungkook only thought how complicated everything sounded. Why are they so picky? Jungkook frowned. Everyone's got a hole. Every being in hell was a fair game. This is unfair. He'd rather stay celibate until he would have to return at this rate. But he didn't tell Yoongi that.
"Also, don't let anyone see you naked," his brother said.
His eyes widened. "What? How do I have sex if I don't get naked?"
"You know-how," Yoongi grunted. He felt his irritation flare. "Havoc never stays in the same place for longer and humans wouldn't understand why one of your tattoos keeps moving. Also, he has a thing for biting people who aren't you or me. So—"
Havoc's venom wasn't deadly to hell creatures, unlike the humans. The bite was known to cause a lot of pain in hell creatures. He'd have to be super careful with Havoc.
It was impossible to leave Havoc unsupervised though. He was with Jungkook for as long as he could remember. Havoc was not only his protector, but they were also somehow connected to each other. It was necessary that he be in Havoc's vicinity all the time. Else, the little demon would slowly lose control and when it did, it always led to a disaster. It was the only reason Havoc was allowed to accompany him to the mortal realm.
"Be careful. Yeah. I got the memo." He slouched on the couch. This sounded far less fun than it sounded initially. He huffed in irritation.
Looked like sex was off the charts. Perhaps he could get a blow job or two. It had been too long.
It is going to be a long journey.

"Are you telling me that I'm not civilized enough?" Jimin arched a brow, his sapphire eyes blazing with fire.
The meeting had been extremely tense since Jimin showed up. Taehyung witnessed the elders trying to come up with several reasons to not allow him to have complete control over the affairs.
"Of course not, Your Majesty." Elder Choi let out an uneasy laugh. "We are just saying you do not know how the modern world works. Times have changed," he said.
Before anyone could respond, Jimin had the elder pinned against the wall with just one hand, their faces only inches apart. "I dare you to repeat that."
"Y-Your Majesty..." Elder Choi croaked.
"Looks like I have to reteach the royal etiquette," Jimin hissed, revealing his sharp fangs. His eyes shifted to a deep blue. His claws dug into Choi's neck, drawing blood. Elder Choi's face grew redder as he struggled in his hold. "My father must have been so lenient that you forgot your place, Choi. Must I remind you where you all belong?"
"F-Forgive him, Your Majesty." Elder Song knelt in front of him and bowed immediately. "His brain has grown rusty with age."
Jimin released him slowly but didn't move away. "The humans might have changed, but the vampires are still the same, aren't they? I'm the ruler of the vampires, not the humans. My duty is to protect our coven and our people."
"I-I apologize, Your Majesty. Please forgive my ignorance." Elder Choi knelt with a hand above his heart.
"I'm not very forgiving, Choi. Let's hope there's no second time," Jimin warned, turning his attention to the others.
Elder Min and Elder Jung hadn't spoken a word. They looked paler than before as they eyed him skeptically.
"Yes, Your Majesty. Thank you!"
"Permission to speak, Your Majesty." Elder Song clasped his hands in front of him.
"Go on."
"There are a few things we must consider. Human technology is so advanced these days and the humans are too interested in the royal affairs," he said carefully. "We use our people to protect our identity and so on. Recently, the passing of our queen has made the headlines and the news outlets are already predicting the retirement of the king."
Jimin cocked his head to the side. "What are you trying to say?"
"Let me explain, Your Majesty." Taehyung stood and walked around the table to stand in front of him.
Jimin nodded. "Go on."
Taehyung pulled his phone out and began to scroll through it before handing it to Jimin. As an ancient vampire, Jimin had the power to access his memories through his blood. He continued to feed his blood to him even after he woke up. So he knew it wouldn't take time for Jimin to figure things out on his own.
"Humans are addicted to the internet these days. Their love for gossip hasn't decreased. If anything, they're even nosier," Taehyung continued as Jimin carefully went through the news website he handed him. "Even now as we speak, they are debating if there would be any changes in administration and so on."
Jimin nodded. "We no longer rule them though. They have their own government for those things."
Taehyung nodded in agreement. "Yes. But they are still invested in the lives of the royals. We are considered celebrities. We have lied to them saying the royal heirs are studying abroad and have managed to protect your identities so far."
Jimin nodded again.
"We would have to slowly introduce you to the society and we could use this opportunity to do that."
"I don't understand."
"We can announce that the crown prince has returned home following the queen's death. Though we no longer rule humans, we still have a great influence on the government. So everyone is keeping an eye on us. Even the government official wants to know what's going on," Namjoon explained.
"He would have to converse with the humans a lot for this. Elder Choi was worried for a reason," Elder song interjected.
"You don't have to worry about that," Taehyung smoothly intervened. "I have already made necessary arrangements for His Majesty to familiarize with the human's way of living."
Jimin scoffed. "I've been around humans as long as you are, Elder Song. I wasn't born yesterday."
"Apologies, Your Majesty." Song bowed again.
Jimin crossed his leg at the knee. "Why don't you take that and shove it up to your ass, Song?"
"Y-Your Majesty?" Song's eyes widened.
"Isn't that how humans talk these days?" Jimin grinned. "I know enough." He straightened before standing and buttoning his suit jacket. "Furthermore, I no longer require the assistance of the Elder's council. You may leave." He pushed his hands inside the pocket. "You can choose to go into hibernation or leave the country. But I do not want to see either of you here. The choice is yours." His features hardened. "Namjoon, Seokjin, and Taehyung will take it from here."
"W-What?" Elder Min, who was a silent spectator throughout the meeting spoke for the first time. Elder Jung, however, still looked like he had seen a ghost. "You can't do this, Your Majesty."
"Can't I?" Jimin quirked a brow with a smirk lifting the corner of his lips. "Are you forgetting something, Elder Min?"
"I apologize, Your Majesty. But things have changed since you have gone into hibernation. You cannot just dismiss us like that." Elder Min stood his ground. "The world has changed. The council is the one in charge everywhere. You cannot change things overnight."
"Really?" Jimin chuckled. "I don't give two fucks about this shit. You wanted me to talk like a human. Then let me talk like a human." He closed the distance with a dangerous look in his eyes. "I know everything, Min. It's better for you if you just shut the fuck up and get your asses out of here." His eyes narrowed. "You think I don't know what you are up to? You couldn't wait to dig your claws into Dasnain. You assholes didn't even wait for a week before you brainwashed my father and took control after my hibernation. If you think you can fuck me over, you got another thing coming. My mother is dead. Now the people responsible will pay for it." He stepped back, his eyes flashing with anger. "If you want to live, you better get out of my way."
With that, Jimin turned around and exited the room.
Taehyung suppressed the urge to clap and pushed his hands inside his pocket instead. This was why he admired Jimin. He grinned as he eyed the elders who looked equally shaken and pissed.
"You heard him, gentlemen. Time to pack your bags," he said to them as his brothers stood to follow Jimin.
The Elders looked like they wanted to say something. Their fury radiated off them. Taehyung inclined his head before exiting the room and smiled when he heard them curse under their breath.
It's only starting.
This is Havoc, Jungkook's little python.
Cerberus is a hellhound from greek mythology.
