12. A View To A Kill

Stefan slowly opened his eyes and for a moment he was confused with his surroundings, but the minute he glanced behind him and saw Rebekah back hugging him, he remembered having sex with Rebekah last night to show her that he was fully over Elena.

Stefan glanced at the chair and realised all his clothes were there making him let out a frustrated sigh, slowly he proceeded to remove Rebekah's hand off of his hand, he used his vampire speed to rush to his clothes and wear them, all while making sure not to wake the original up, he didn't want to deal with any early morning awkward encounters.

After wearing his shirt, Stefan grabbed his jacket and walked over to Rebekah's bedroom door and opened it up, the minute he opened it, his path was blocked by his best friend.

An amused Lily leaned against the door frame, she took a sip of the milkshake in her hand and used her free hand to wave at her best friend, "Anything you wanna confess, Stefan?" she teased, "Oh and by the way, Klaus is here as well and he's going to love this new gossip".

Hearing Lily caused Stefan to let out an annoyed groan, he knew Lily and Klaus were never going to let him live this down.

"This is my place" Rebekah snapped at both Lily and Klaus, "I don't appericate either of you invading my privacy like some kind of creeping tom".

"In my defense, I didn't think you had company" Lily defended, "And I did tell Klaus to call you but he said whatever he needed to say to you was too urgent to say on the phone", Lily looked at the hybrid standing next to her, "Explain".

"I apologise for breaking up this sordid little tryst but like Lily said, I do have some urgent business" Klaus said, walking into Rebekah's room, "Or have you forgotten that our paranoid brother Kol is running around with the white oak stake and homicide on the brain?".

"That's on every Mikaelson's mind" Lily whispered to Stefan, causing him to let out a small chuckle.

"He tried to kill me last night, I didn't forget" Rebekah told Klaus.

"Yes, well, unfortunately, he seems to have absconded with my set of daggers" Klaus informed.

"Oh, poor Nik, how ever will you get your way without your precious daggers?" Rebekah taunted, "They were so handy when you wanted to end a conversation with one of us".

"Kol's irrational fear of Silas has pushed him over the edge" Klaus stated, "We need to put him down before he does any more damage, now I know you have the last dagger and I know you have some white ash, so hand it over".

"And leave myself unprotected?" Rebekah asked, "You can file that request under, no chance in hell".

"Wait, why are we so sure Kol's fear is irrational?" a confused Lily asked.

"Because little luna, no one has ever seen Silas, he's just a myth" Klaus replied.

"People thought that about you as well" Lily reminded, "What if Kol is right? Is getting the cure really worth all of us dying?".

"Kol is anything but right Lily, he is just paranoid" Rebekah said, she then turned back to Klaus "Be gone by the time I've showered, lurkers aren't welcome here".

Once Rebekah had entered the bathroom and turned the shower on, Klaus looked at an awfully quiet Stefan, "I need that dagger, Stefan" he said, "Talk some sense into her".

"Why don't you talk some sense into her?" Stefan retorted, "I'm headed home to play prison guard to Damon, he's on lockdown ever since Kol compelled him to kill Jeremy last night".

"You see, that's my point exactly" Klaus said, "If you let Kol roam free, then Jeremy won't live to see his junior prom and we can kiss our map to the cure goodbye, but if you help me dagger Kol, Damon will be uncompelled, Jeremy will live, and we'll all be on our merry way to a human Elena".

Lily let out a defeated sigh hearing Klaus, once Klaus had told her his plan, she tried her hardest to get him to change his mind but he wouldn't budge, after giving up, Lily ended up calling Kol to try to warn but he didn't answer any of her calls, now all Lily could hope was that whatever happened, neither of the Mikaelson's got hurt.

"Oh this is a sight for sore eyes" Lily teased, peeking inside the Salvatore's cellar and seeing a weak Damon laying there.

Damon let out an annoyed groan hearing Lily, "Go away, Lily".

"No can do, if I go away I'll miss this epic chance of seeing you suffer" Lily said, a teasing smile on her smile.

"Stefan!" Damon yelled, knowing where Lily was, Stefan probably wasn't far behind, "Take her away!".

"You actually think she'll listen to me?" Stefan asked, walking over to Lily.

"Spoiler alert, I won't" Lily informed.

"Came to snap my neck again?" Damon asked Stefan, "Because I woke up feeling completely un-murderous so I'm pretty sure that it's safe to set me free", Stefan ignored Damon's words and instead threw a small vial of blood into the cellar, "Oh, man, really?" an annoyed Damon asked as he grabbed the vial, "You practically bled me dry, at least spring for a bag or something, I'm thirsty", Stefan placed a bottle of water on the window of the cellar, "Not exactly what I had in mind".

Nonetheless, Damon slowly stood up from the ground and walked over to grab the water bottle, once he grabbed the bottle, his eyes landed on Klaus, "Hello, mate" the amused original greeted.

"What the hell are you doing here?" a confused Damon asked.

"Babysitting" Klaus replied.

"Oh" Damon said.

"Give him a vial of blood every couple of hours so he doesn't desiccate" Stefan instructed Klaus, handing him the vials of blood in his hand, "If he gets too much strength back, or if he just annoys you, bleed him out again".

"Dibs on that" Lily said, getting really excited with the thought of torturing Damon, making both Stefan and Klaus chuckle at her antics.

"The silent treatment, huh?" Damon asked Stefan, "Is that your best shot?", Damon looked at Klaus, "He's still pissed at me for sleeping with Elena".

"You are disgusting" Lily snapped, glaring at the oldest Salvatore, "You don't even look slightly guilty for breaking your brother's heart, you absolute dickhead!".

"Are you sure he's still pissed at you?" Klaus asked Damon, "Because Lily and I caught him trying to sneak out of Rebekah's bed this morning, which would suggest to me that he's moved on".

"Well, well" Damon teased Stefan, who let out an annoyed sigh, "Looks like my brother ripped out a page of my revenge-sex handbook".

"Well, why don't you two enjoy your little villain bonding time?" Stefan told Klaus and Damon, "I'll let you know when I get the dagger from Rebekah", Stefan looked at Lily, "Keep an eye on both of them".

"Relax, I'll make sure nothing gets too out of line" Lily assured.

"Thanks" Stefan said, before walking away from the trio.

"You know, none of this would be an issue if you'd have just done your job properly" Klaus taunted Damon, "I was perfectly willing to let you train Jeremy".

"No, you weren't" Damon retorted, laying on the bed that was in the cellar and throwing a ball up in the air and then catching it, "You kidding? You got there day two, do you know how hard it is to get these xbox brains to focus?".

"Ever considered the fact that you're a bad teacher?" Lily asked, Damon glared at her for a second before turning his attention back to the ball in his hand.

"And then when I turned a room full of barflies into vampires for him to slaughter you let Kol kill them" Klaus continued.

"Your brother problem, not mine, buddy" Damon stated.

"And whose bright idea was it to saddle Jeremy with a conscience?" Klaus asked.

"Well, couldn't have him trying to stake Elena in her sleep, now, could we?" Damon defended.

Lily immediately rolled her eyes hearing Elena's name, "I'm getting really sick of hearing Elena this, Elena that" she said, "So excuse me, I'm going to go find your most expensive alcohol and drink just to torture you Damon".

"I hate you!" Damon yelled as Lily walked away.

"Not more then me!" Lily yelled back.

Klaus chuckled at Lily's actions before turning his attention back to Damon, "How is it that Elena manages to overlook every horrific thing you've ever done? Is it willful ignorance? Or perhaps something more pathological?".

"Some people are just more capable of forgiveness than others" Damon simply said, "I bet you score about a negative five hundred in that realm".

"Come on, there must be a secret" Klaus insisted, "It can't just be the sire bond, what is it? Compulsion? Manipulation?", Klaus looked at Damon, "What is it you say to her?".

Damon looked at Klaus, he then sat up, a smirk on his face, "I think that this has something to with a certain brunette werewolf, I think for the first time in your life you truly love someone, and you're scared that one day you're going to do something that Lily is never going to be able to forgive you, because that's what you do, you ruin things, you ruin people and now you're afraid you're gonna ruin whatever twisted thing you and Lily have going on".

"You've done worse then me" an angry Klaus said.

"Debatable" Damon said, "See, I don't mind being the bad guy, because somebody has to fill that role and get things done, you do bad things for no reason, you do them to be a dick".

"Debatable" Klaus snapped.

"You know what's not debatable?" Damon asked, "One day Lily realising that she was wrong about you the whole time, if you're gonna be bad, be bad with a purpose, otherwise you're just not worth forgiving".

A frustrated Klaus checked his phone and realised there was still no message from Stefan, "Your brother's lack of communication is infuriating" he told Damon.

"It's one of his trademarks, like his brooding and his hair" Damon said.

"I don't understand what's taking so long, I mean how hard is it to steal a dagger?" Klaus wondered.

"From someone whose been stabbed by it as many times as Rebekah has?" Lily asked, standing in the doorway with Klaus, "I'd say it's really hard".

Klaus let out an annoyed sigh, he then pulled out a vial of blood and threw it at Damon's feet, "Sweet" Damon said, picking the vial up from the floor.

"You disappoint me, Damon" Klaus said, "You're not trying very hard to get out of here, I expected more the daring escape artist, less the cell potato".

"Well, I am compelled to kill Jeremy" Damon reminded, "So I figured it's probably smarter to sit in here and chit chat with you two than try and bust out of here like the Hulk".

"How do you think Elena felt about that, by the way?" Klaus asked, "Your inability to overcome Kol's compulsion for a single moment even though it meant killing the person she loves the most in the world?

"She's met me" Damon said, "She knows impulse control is not my strong suit".

"Still, it must be hard trying to live up to Stefan" Klaus taunted, "I remember when I compelled him to feed on Elena, he fought so hard he actually managed to resist, now that's love".

"What do you know about love?" an annoyed Damon asked.

Klaus glanced at Lily, "Recently, I've learnt a lot about love" he admitted, making Lily smile, Klaus turned back to Damon, "I know you're in love with Elena but I think you're afraid of what might happen when we find the cure at the end of the rainbow, personally, I don't see a fairytale ending for you, all I see is Stefan and Elena, I think you see the same thing".

"I don't see either of them" Lily said, making Damon and Klaus look at her, in return she shrugged her shoulder, "It's just my opinion but I know Stefan deserves better then a girl who left him for his brother", Lily looked at Damon, "And so do you", before Damon could say anything to her, Lily's phone ringing caught her attention, she pulled her phone out of back pocket and realised Kol was calling her, "Hey Kol".

"Are you with Nik?" a furious Kol asked.

"Uh yeah, why, what's wrong?" a concerned Lily asked, wondering why did Kol sound so angry.

"Put the phone on speaker" Kol demanded.

"Okay" Lily said, putting her phone on speaker and letting Kol and Klaus talk to each other.

"Well, if it isn't the happy homicidal maniac" Klaus mocked.

"Do you know your darling former blood bag and her brother are trying to kill me?" an angry Kol asked.

"What?" a shocked Klaus asked as Lily's eyes went wide.

"I know Lily will never be on this but I know you're in on it" Kol snapped, "Your obsession to find the cure clearly trumps any sibling loyalty you once felt".

"I don't know what you're talking about" Klaus defended.

"I'm going to rip off Jeremy's arm and kill Elena, just for sport" Kol stated, "Then I'm coming for you".

Once Kol had hanged up the phone, Lily looked at Klaus, "Please tell me you're not part of this".

"Of course I'm not part of this, Lily" Klaus said, he then turned to Damon, before the oldest Salvatore could register anything, Klaus grabbed him by his throat and slammed him to the wall, "What the hell is going on?".

"I don't know" Damon said, having trouble breathing with Klaus's hand around his throat.

"What are Stefan and Elena planning?" a furious Klaus asked.

"I don't know, I've been stuck in the penalty box with you since yesterday" Damon reminded, "But if there is a plan to kill Kol I can tell you that Stefan's not part of it, he wouldn't do anything that will hurt Lily".

"Tell me what you know" Klaus compelled Damon.

"I don't know anything about a plan" a compelled Damon admitted, "And neither does Stefan, if there really is a plan to kill Kol, neither one of us were involved in it".

"This is a waste of time, we need to get to Kol, now!" a panicked Lily told Klaus, before rushing out the cellar.

"Stay here till I return" Klaus told Damon, before running after Lily, the original and werewolf hoping to reach him before something bad happened.

Klaus and Lily arrived at the Gilbert's house, just as Jeremy staked Kol in the heart with the white oak stake, "No!" a shocked Lily yelled, tears welling in her eyes as Kol yelled in pain while burning to death.

"What did you do?" a furious Klaus asked Elena.

"We didn't have a choice" Elena defended.

"Liar!" Lily yelled, her eyes starting to glow yellow, making both Elena and Jeremy uneasy, they knew though Klaus couldn't enter their house, Lily could.

"He was trying to cut off Jeremy's arm!" Elena retorted.

"He never would have gotten inside if you hadn't set a trap for him" Klaus stated.

"You said you were going to put him down too" Elena reminded.

"He wasn't going to kill him!" Lily yelled, "But you know what? If this is how you want to play, fine then, I'm just going to have to finish what Kol started".

"Lily no" a scared Elena said, standing infront of her brother.

"How are you going to stop me Elena?" Lily asked, taking a step into the Gilbert's house, "And you know what the best part of all this is, when I rip out Jeremy's heart, I will have no repercussions, because the hunter's curse won't affect me".

Elena glared at Lily, "I won't let you hurt him".

"I'd like to see you try and stop me" Lily said.

And with that both Elena and Lily charged at each other, the moment the two girls reached each other, Lily wrapped her hand around Elena's throat and slammed her to the ground, Elena's head hitting the ground harshly.

"Elena!" a worried Jeremy yelled.

Lily, with her eyes glowing yellow, looked at Jeremy, "Don't worry, you're next" she said, before turning to Elena, her teeth showing and just as she was about to bite into Elena's neck, a searing pain shot through both her and Klaus's head, causing both of them to fall to the floor, holding their heads in pain, just as Bonnie entered the house.

"Invite him in" Bonnie ordered Jeremy, gesturing towards Klaus, "Do it".

"Come in" Jeremy said, as Elena stood up and stood next to her brother.

"Living room, go!" Bonnie yelled to the siblings, who quickly ran into the living room and from there into their kitchen, Klaus quickly followed after them while Bonnie used her magic to throw Lily into the living room, the moment Klaus tried to chase after Elena and Jeremy, he quickly realised he couldn't because of the barrier trapping him and Lily inside the Gilbert's living room.

A furious Klaus yelled in fury and banged his fist on the barrier, he glared at Bonnie, "Witch, you can't do this to me".

"You have no idea what I can do now" a smug Bonnie said, but the smug smile on her face went away when she heard Lily laughing, "Why the hell are you laughing Lily? We won, you two lost".

Lily looked at Bonnie, "Did you really win?" she asked, "Because not only did the so called good Gilbert siblings commit genocide, but you also managed to anger two very dangerous people, now you may be safe for a few days, but you're eventually going to come back, we're eventually going to get out, how are you going to stop us from ending you then?".

"I'm much stronger then you are" Bonnie stated.

Lily stood up and walked over to Bonnie, the anger in her eyes scaring Bonnie, Elena and Jeremy, "If you really thought that, then you wouldn't have felt the need to trap me", Lily looked at Elena and Jeremy, "I hope you guys enjoy your mini vacation wherever you're gonna go to get this cure, but just remember one thing, karma will always come and bit you in the ass, and something tells me when it comes knocking on your door, it's going to hurt, a lot".

Lily stood there with a smirk on her face and behind her stood Klaus, suddenly looking very relaxed and that didn't sit well with the trio, so without saying anything, they quickly turned and walked out of the Gilbert house.
