12. The Descent

Lily opened her eyes, and immediately a sense of panic set in when she realised she was in an unknown bedroom, sitting up on the bed, Lily looked around in confusion, not knowing where she was or who brought her here, looking down, she realised she was wearing someone's button up shirt and suddenly what happened last night came back to her.

"Elijah" Lily whispered, recalling the original she thought was dead had helped her last night.

A still very confused but slightly less panicked Lily stepped out of the bed, she then walked over to the closed door, opening it she stepped out the room and realised she was in an apartment, a very nice apartment.

Hearing noise coming from the kitchen, Lily tip toed towards the noise, not wanting to alerting anyone that she was awake.

Arriving at the entrance of kitchen, Lily saw Elijah standing there making coffee.

"You should know, I heard you as soon as you opened the bedroom door" Elijah said, his back to Lily.

"Creepy much" Lily commented.

Elijah turned around and looked at Lily, "Vampire actually".

Lily rolled her eyes, "So, aren't you suppose to be dead?" she asked.

A slight smirk formed on Elijah's face, "You didn't really think I would die that easily, did you?".

Lily shrugged, "Honestly, I was kind of disappointed seeing how easy it was for Stefan and Damon to defeat you, especially since according to Rose, you're supposed to be my worst nightmare".

 "The Salvatore brothers caught me off guard, that will not happen again" Elijah said, he then placed Lily's coffee in front of her, "Coffee?".

"Only cause you took such an effort to make it" Lily teased, sitting on the stool and grabbing the coffee cup, after taking a small sip she looked at Elijah, "You definitely know how to make a good cup of coffee".

Elijah gave Lily a small smile, "Thank you".

Lily looked at Elijah curiously, "So, I'm guessing this shirt I'm wearing, is yours?".

Elijah nodded, "Your guess is correct".

"And you made me wear it?" Lily asked.

"Well, you fell asleep in my arms and I figured you did not want to stay without clothes" Elijah pointed out.

"Fair point" Lily said, "Anyways, thanks for the coffee, I should go".

"I'll drop you" Elijah said.

Lily shook her head, "It's all good, I know how to get home".

"Like this?" Elijah said, pointing to Lily's attire.

Lily looked down at the shirt, she then looked at Elijah, "Yes like this, your shirt looks like a cute dress on me, I'll wash it and give it back to you next time we meet".

"Next time?" an amused Elijah asked.

"Well, with you showing up nearly everywhere I go, I'm guessing this isn't the last time I see you" Lily said.

"I'm just trying to protect you" Elijah said.

"Why?" a confused Lily asked, "You don't know me, why do you want to protect me?".

"Because you're important to me, you're important to my family" Elijah informed.

"You're family?" a shocked Lily asked, "What the hell are you on about?".

"You will know soon enough" Elijah assured.

"How about you tell me now?" Lily retorted.

"Weren't you leaving?" Elijah asked.

Lily shook her head at Elijah, "Won't you dropping me home?".

"Weren't you leaving by yourself?" Elijah asked.

"Yes I was" Lily replied, getting off the stool, "Goodbye Elijah".

Lily turned to leave when Elijah speeded over to her and grabbed her wrist, "I'll drop you".

"I don't need you to drop me home" Lily assured.

"I never said you needed me, I want to drop you home, let me Lily" Elijah said.

Lily stared at Elijah for a moment, she then nodded, "Fine" she said.

"Great, let's go" Elijah said, leading Lily out.

After a silent but comfortable drive, Elijah pulled infront of the Forbes's house.

Lily opened the door to step out, but before she stepped out, she turned to Elijah, "Thank you" she said, "You didn't have to do what you did, so thank you".

Elijah gave Lily a small smile, "Anytime".

After giving Elijah one last smile, Lily stepped out of the car, she then walked up the Forbes's porch, she grabbed the keys from under the mat and opened the front door, before she stepped in, she turned around and saw Elijah waiting for her to go in.

Lily let out a small chuckle, she then waved at Elijah and with a smile on her face entered her house, realising Rose was wrong, Elijah wasn't her worst nightmare, turns out, he was her protector.

After showering and putting Elijah's shirt in the wash, Lily received a text from Tyler, telling her that Mason's friend Jules wanted to talk to both of them, which is why both her and Tyler were currently walking into the Grill.

"There she is" Tyler pointed towards the table Jules was sitting on.

"This better be important, I'm supposed to be in bed right now, I'm still sore from last night" Lily complained, as both her and Tyler walked over to Jules.

"Thank you for coming" Jules said, as Tyler and Lily sat infront of her.

"So, what do you want from us?" Tyler asked, slightly confused as to why Jules called him and Lily here.

"Just to be your guys friend" Jules replied, "Mason would have wanted that".

"Yeah, no offense Jules, but I don't know you, so I can't really be your friend" Lily said.

Jules sighed, "Fair enough" she said, she then looked between Lily and Tyler, she leaned forward, "I know about Mason" she revealed, "And both of you",

"You know what?" a confused Tyler asked.

"I know you two are werewolves" Jules revealed, "And I know your little friend Caroline is a vampire".

"How do you know about Caroline?" Tyler asked, suddenly concerned.

"Because she's a werewolf" Lily informed.

Jules looked at Lily in shock, "You know?" she asked.

"I wasn't born yesterday, I know how to put the dots together" Lily said, "Mason told me about his werewolves buddies in Florida, I figured you were one of them as soon as you told us where you came from".

"You're a clever one, aren't you?" Jules said.

Lily gave Jules a mock smile, "Yes I am" she said, "I'm clever enough to know that you called me and Tyler here for something, so spill, what do you from us?".

"I want to help you two" Jules informed.

"Do you know where Mason is?" Tyler asked.

"He's dead, he was murdered" Jules informed, shocking both Tyler and Lily.

"No" Tyler said, shaking his head.

"You wanna know who murdered him?" Jules asked.

"Just stop" Tyler warned.

"Your little blond vampire did" Jules revealed.

Lily suddenly slammed her hands on to the table and stood up, shocking both Jules and Tyler, "Mind your words, Jules" she warned, "That is my sister you're talking about, she is not a killer, she will never murder Mason".

"She and her little vampire friends were behind it" Jules argued.

"No!" Lily snapped, "My sister didn't kill anyone, if what you're saying is the truth, and Mason is dead, then I can bet my life on it that it wasn't Caroline or Stefan, there is only one person who could have killed Mason, and now I'm going to kill him".

"Wait Lily, who are you talking about?" Tyler asked, extremely confused with everything, "You know who killed Mason?".

Lily looked at Tyler, she figured it was time for him to know that they are other vampires in this town, "If Mason is dead, then it means Damon killed him, he's the only one who will do something like that, Caroline wouldn't murder Mason especially after knowing everything he did for me, and Stefan isn't the cold blooded type".

"Don't worry, we'll get all of them" Jules assured Tyler.

"What?" a shocked Lily asked.

"There are others like us and they're on their way" Jules informed.

Lily glared at Jules, she then grabbed a fork and stabbed it in Jules hand, "Ahh!" Jules yelled in pain.

"Lily!" Tyler scolded, looking around and making sure no one saw.

"Listen here you bitch" Lily said, glaring at Jules, "If you hurt my sister, I will rip you and your pack of losers apart, you will all die Jules, and that is a promise".

Lily removed the fork from Jules hand and walked away, leaving behind a furious Jules and shocked Tyler.

How was the chapter? I know it was short but it was really hard to fit Lily into this chapter >.<
