13. Into The Wild

Lily laid on the Gilbert's couch, with her eyes closed and her arm over her eyes, while Klaus stared at Kol's dead body, something Lily refused to do, she could not look at his body, it made her feel sick in the stomach.

"Morning, sunshine" Tyler greeted, entering the Gilbert's house with a mock smile on his face, Klaus's situation bringing him immense joy, "You look pathetic".

"Only until Bonnie's spell locking me in here wears off" Klaus stated, "Then I'll look different", Klaus turned and faced Tyler, "Angrier, perhaps, or I won't look like anything because I'll have gouged your eyeballs from their sockets".

"My friends will be back with the cure by then so I can shove it down your throat and make you mortal" Tyler threatened.

"I'm an original" Klaus reminded, "What makes you think my entire vampire bloodline won't be cured along with me? I.e. you".

"You know what I think?" Tyler asked, "I think that's impossible, I think the moment you stop being a vampire our whole blood connection to you is broken and your sire line ceases to exist, so whatever happens to you happens only to you, which means I can kill your ass, and no one else has to die, although I am still debating just how to do it".

Klaus used his vampire speed to speed over to where Tyler was standing, causing the Lockwood boy to flinch back slightly in surprise, "I recommend drowning" Klaus taunted, "There's nothing quite like the feeling of someone fighting for something as basic as human breath, and let me tell you, your mother was a fighter".

A furious Tyler glanced at his best friend, "Are you hearing this?!" he asked, "Are you hearing the type of person this man is? Do you even realise that you fell in love with a monster or do you just not care?".

"I just don't care" Lily answered truthfully, making Tyler look at her in shock, wondering how can she say that, Lily sat up and looked at Tyler, "And let's not forget Tyler, the only reason Klaus went after your mother was because you went after him, so from where I'm sitting, poor little orphan Tyler has no one but himself to blame for his mother's dead, if you were that concerned for her, you would have never tried to kill someone who has a thousand years over you, and if you did decide to go after him, you should have made sure that your only family was safe, but that wasn't important to you, was it? No, your mother's safety was the last thing on your mind, all you cared about was killing Klaus".

"And we all know how that turned out" Klaus taunted, a smug smirk on his face.

"Yes we do" Lily said, glaring at her former best friend, feeling nothing but hatred for him, she didn't care if people called her a bitch or called her heartless, but even being warned so many times by her, Tyler didn't listen to Lily, he went after Klaus multiple times, if he didn't care about Lily's feelings, Lily could give a rats ass about his.

Once the sun had set, Caroline entered the Gilbert household and looked at her boyfriend in confusion, "You're still here? What are you doing?".

"Learning that his mother's death is on him" Lily taunted, making her sister look at her with a glare, "What? Does the truth hurt, sister?".

Caroline shook her head at Lily before turning back to Tyler, "Come home, don't stoop to their level".

"He destroyed my life" Tyler reminded, "Lily abandoned us for him, I plan on being present for every second of their misery until I can kill Klaus myself".

"I abandoned you?!" a furious Lily asked, standing up and glaring at her sister and her boyfriend, "I wasn't the one who abandoned you guys Tyler, you both abandoned me first!".

"I never abandoned you" Caroline defended.

"Oh come on, surely you don't actually believe that, Caroline?" Lily asked, "When I needed my sister the most, you always chose your friends, all I ever wanted for us to be a family but all you ever wanted was for me to not be in your life".

Caroline immediately shook her head, "No Lily, that's not true".

"But it is" Lily whispered, an angry expression on her face while her tears filled with tears, "And you know for a long time I tried to change myself so you can accept me as your sister, for the longest time I waited for you to chose me over your friends but you never did, and now I'm done waiting, I'm done with you Caroline".

"What are you saying?" a terrified Caroline asked.

"I'm saying that I'm done trying to be your sister, we're not sisters, you made sure to tell me that since we were kids, I just didn't listen to it till today" Lily stated.

"You're breaking our relation because of him!" an angry Caroline asked, pointing towards Klaus who was standing behind Lily.

"No Caroline, I can't break something that was never there in the first place" Lily said, "We never really sisters, and since you chose your friends, I'm choosing the Mikaelson's, at least with them I don't have to be scared that they won't choose me".

While Tyler and Caroline sat outside on the Gilbert's porch, Klaus and Lily sat on the couch, Lily's phone beeping caught their attention, Lily pulled her phone out of her back pocket and a smirk formed on her face seeing the message she has just received.

She's made it to the island.

"So?" a curious Klaus asked, seeing the smirk on Lily's face.

Lily looked at Klaus, "Your biggest enemy is going to help us avenge your brother's death".

Klaus let out a chuckle, "Only you can put me in a situation like this".

Lily shrugged her shoulders, "Come on, you know it's a good plan, even Elijah agrees".

"I can't believe how easily Elijah found her" an amused Klaus said.

"She's hiding from you, not Elijah" Lily pointed out.

"You know I'm not going to free her after this, right?" Klaus asked.

"I never asked you to do that" Lily retorted.

"Then what did you offer her?" a confused Klaus asked.

"I didn't offer her anything, Elijah is negotiating with her on our behalf" Lily replied.

"And what did Elijah offer her?" Klaus asked.

Lily shrugged, "God knows, all I care about is revenge" she said.

 Klaus let out a chuckle, "And that is why we are perfect for each other".

Lily smirked, "I know" she said, leaning forward and kissing Klaus.
