01. Growing Pains

Bonnie stood in the Lockwood's underground cave, looking down at Klaus's burnt up body.

"It's beautiful, isn't it?" Klaus, still in Tyler's body, asked, walking over to the Bennett witch.

"What is that doing here, Klaus?" a confused Bonnie asked, "The deal we made with Tyler was that you'd leave his body and jump into someone else's the first chance you got".

"Yes, when I assumed I'd be a pile of ash" Klaus clarified, walking over to his body, "But apparently fate and oxygen intervened, and there I am, put me back".

"I can't right now" Bonnie stated.

"Your history teacher outed Tyler and Caroline to the council" Klaus reminded, "They're on a warpath and this body's vulnerable".

"I have to help Elena before she has to feed" Bonnie protested.

"Elena's dead and no longer my concern" Klaus retorted.

"You're forgetting who just saved your life" an annoyed Bonnie reminded.

Klaus wrapped his hand around Bonnie's throat and started choking her, "You're forgetting I can rip your tongue out, now put me back".

"If I can keep Elena human, you'll still have an endless blood supply to make your hybrids, isn't that what you really want?" Bonnie negotiated, having trouble speaking with Klaus's hand still wrapped around her throat.

Klaus glared at Bonnie for a second before finally letting her go, the Bennett witch quickly turned around and tried to walk away from the original hybrid but he used his speed to come infront of her again, "Same rules apply" he reminded, "No one knows, no one, do you understand me, Bonnie?".

Bonnie nodded her head, knowing it was in her best interest to do whatever Klaus was asking, going against him right now wasn't going to benefit anyone.

Elijah stood by Lily's door at the Forbes house and watched as the werewolf packed her bag.

"Are you sure you don't want to stay here?" Elijah asked, wanting to make sure Lily was a hundred percent sure about her decision of leaving town with him.

Lily looked at Elijah and shook her head, "I can't stay here Elijah, this town has nothing left in it for me".

"What about your mother and sister?" Elijah asked.

"Alaric has outed all the supernatural creatures in Mystic Falls to the council, because of which mom herself has been telling both me and Caroline to leave town" Lily replied, "And if I don't leave town with you today, I don't know where else to go, I can't stay here with these people, and Klaus is gone and I'm still having a very hard time coming to terms with it".

As tears started to well in Lily's eyes, Elijah stepped forward and pulled the emotional werewolf into a comforting hug, promising himself that no matter what, he will always be there for her.

While Lily packed the rest of her stuff, Elijah decided to go check on Rebekah. After making sure everything was packed, Lily grabbed her bags and stepped out of her room, after giving her room one last glance, the emotional werewolf closed the door and started walking towards the front door when her phone started ringing, taking it out of her pocket, Lily realised her mother was calling her.

"Hey, mom" Lily greeted.

"Where are you?" an extremely worried Liz asked, with Alaric outing all the supernatural creatures to the council, Liz has been extremely worried for the safety of her two daughters, "Tell me it's far away".

"I just finished packing mom, I'm now going to the Mikaelson mansion and then I'm going to leave town with Elijah and Rebekah" Lily informed.

"Lily, leave town as fast as you can" Liz demanded, "The council is looking for you and Caroline, please, don't let them catch you".

Lily opened her front door, "I'll try my best, mom" she said, turning to close the front door, "You don't--", Lily turned around again when suddenly she was ambushed by three council members who injected her with wolfsbane before she could even think about fighting them.

"Lily, what's going on?" a concerned Liz asked, hearing her daughter's yell, but Lily couldn't say anything to her as the wolfsbane had caused her to fall unconscious.

Klaus sat on top of the coffin that contained his real body when Tyler's phone started ringing, taking it out of his pocket he saw that Carol Lockwood, Tyler's mother was calling.

"Ah, you incessant woman" an annoyed Klaus complained, in no mood to talk to Carol, but nonetheless he answered the phone, "Hey, mom, what's up?".

"Tyler, thank god, are you okay?" a concerned Carol asked.

"Fine, why? What's going on?" Klaus, pretending to be Tyler asked.

"Pastor Young had me arrested this morning" Carol informed, pouring herself a drink, "The council grilled me on your whereabouts, Tyler don't tell me where you are, the less I know the better".

"Mom, I'm okay, relax" Klaus assured, trying to play the perfect son.

"You didn't answer your phone honey, I was so scared you were with Caroline or Lily" Carol said, hearing Lily's name, Klaus was suddenly on alert.

"Why? What happened to Lily?" a suddenly very worried Klaus asked.

Carol sighed, "The council took both Caroline and Lily".

"What do you mean they took Lily?" a furious Klaus asked.

A weak Lily slowly opened her eyes and immediately realised she was in a police car being taken somewhere, with both Caroline and Rebekah next to her.

"Vervain and wolfsbane ropes" Caroline informed her sister, seeing her trying to rip the ropes off of her but failing.

Lily let out an annoyed groan, "Great, just what I needed right now".

"Looks like Alaric outed us all to the council" Caroline said.

"We already knew that Caroline" Lily retorted, her mood very foul.

"The council?" an annoyed Rebekah asked, "What exactly do they think they can do to me?".

Before Caroline could say anything, the car they were in suddenly crashed into something and flipped to the side, causing the three girls to yell in pain.

"What was that?" a confused Lily asked, just as the police car door opened.

"Tyler?" a shocked Caroline said, while Lily looked at him in extreme confusion, how was Tyler alive?

"I'm harder to kill than you think" Klaus told Lily, as he began to unite both Lily and Caroline, though he had no desire to save Caroline, he also knew Lily wouldn't leave without her sister.

"You're alive?" an emotional Caroline asked.

"How?" a confused Lily asked, as Klaus pulled her out of the car and Caroline quickly followed.

"No time, come on, we gotta go" Klaus said, seeing a police car coming towards them.

"Wait, Rebekah" Lily said, going to save the original but Klaus grabbed her arms.

"Rebekah is an original, they can't kill her, but they can kill you and Caroline, so let's go" Klaus demanded.

"No, wait, don't leave me" Rebekah said, as Caroline grabbed a protesting Lily's hand ad dragged her away from the scene.

Klaus kneeled near Rebekah, "Keep them busy, little sister" he said, making sure Lily and Caroline didn't hear him.

As Klaus ran away, Rebekah's eyes went wide in shock, "No, that's not possible" she whispered, finally realising why her brother's sireline didn't die, it was because her brother never died in the first place.

Lily, Caroline and Tyler rushed into the woods together.

"We should have never left Rebekah behind like this" Lily snapped, feeling extremely guilty for leaving Rebekah behind.

"Relax, little luna" Klaus said, "Rebekah will be fine, she's a big girl, she can take care of herself".

"She shouldn't have to!" Lily snapped, not paying attention to what Tyler called her, "We could have saved her!".

Caroline, ignoring her sister's outburst, rushed over to Klaus, thinking he was Tyler and smashed her lips on to his, "I never thought I'd see you again, I don't get it, how are you alive?".

"Easy love, wrong time, wrong place, wrong person" Klaus said, after immediately pushing Caroline away from him.

"You're miraculously alive, we're fugitives on the run, all signs point to hot hybrid vampire sex" Caroline said, taking her cardigan off and pulled Klaus into another kiss.

"I think I'm going to puke" Lily whispered, turning her back towards the duo, just as she was about to walk away, something clicked in her brain, little luna, love, Lily immediately turned back to Caroline and Tyler, she rushed towards them and shoved Caroline away and stood between the two.

"Seriously?" an annoyed Caroline asked her sister, "Why haven't you left yet, Lily?".

Lily ignored her sister's complains and just looked at Tyler with teary eyes, "You're alive, you're alive?!".

Klaus smiled at Lily, "I wasn't going to leave you this soon, I did promise to show the world after all".

Lily let out a watery chuckle before lunging forward and hugging Klaus tightly, Klaus gladly hugging her back.

"Lily!" a shocked Caroline yelled, "What the hell are you doing?!".

"This isn't Tyler, Caroline" Lily informed, still hugging Klaus, "It's Klaus".

"What?!" a shocked Caroline asked.

Klaus, who was still hugging Lily, looked at Caroline, "Like I told you, wrong person".

"Oh, my god, you're Klaus, you're disgusting" Caroline snapped, as Klaus and Lily finally broke the hug, "Ugh, I need to sanitize my mouth".

"Your mouth was all over me, I was an innocent victim" Klaus defended, "And trust me, you are not the Forbes sister I want to kiss".

"Put Tyler back" Caroline demanded.

"Gladly" Klaus said, before turning to Lily, "Then maybe we can have hot hybrid sex".

"Gross" Caroline complained, while Lily looked at Klaus wide eyed, suddenly feeling very flustered, Klaus simply chuckled seeing Lily's reaction.

Klaus, Lily and Caroline met up with Bonnie and Jeremy at the witches house, where Bonnie informed Klaus, she couldn't put him back in his original body.

"She said she's not strong enough" Jeremy snapped at Klaus, when he refused to listen.

"You were strong enough to put me in here, surely you're strong enough to get me out" Klaus told Bonnie.

"I upset the spirits trying to save Elena, I can't use that kind of magic again" Bonnie protested, "It's too dangerous".

"Bonnie, do the bloody spell!" Klaus demanded.

"She said she can't, okay?" Caroline snapped.

Lily sighed, "Bonnie, is there any other way, some other witch, maybe?".

"There is another way" Klaus said, ripping Tyler's shirt, he then took his claws out and stabbed himself in the chest, "Aah!".

"Klaus!" a shocked Lily yelled.

"What are you doing?" a worried Caroline asked.

"Ripping Tyler's heart out" Klaus informed, "I'll jump into someone else", Klaus looked at Jeremy, "Maybe you".

"Oh, my god" Bonnie cried, seeing Klaus's claws go deeper into Tyler's chest.

"Klaus, stop!" Lily yelled, "This isn't a solution!".

"He's bluffing, he needs a witch to do that" Jeremy said, refusing to believe Klaus just jump into anyone he wants.

"What makes you think I don't have one?" Klaus asked Jeremy, "Or ten?", Klaus looked at Bonnie, "Pick, Bonnie! You or Tyler!".

"Stop, please, you're killing him" Caroline cried, worried for the man she loved, not wanting to lose him again.

"Fine, I'll do it" Bonnie finally said, realising Klaus was actually serious, "Just stop".

Klaus finally stopped trying to kill Tyler, "Good" he said, "Let's begin".

Bonnie stood behind a kneeling Klaus, her hands on either side of his head, chanting, while worried Caroline and Lily stood infront of them, each worried for their respective men.

"This is black magic" a worried Jeremy informed, worried for the Bennett witch, "She shouldn't be doing this".

As Bonnie continued the spell, Tyler let out a gasp and opened his eyes.

"Tyler" Caroline whispered, immediately recognising the Lockwood werewolf.

Tyler looked at Caroline and immediately a smile formed on his face, "Caroline, hey", the Lockwood werewolf tried to stand up to go to his girlfriend when suddenly he felt a wave of dizziness hit him, causing him to fall to the ground, unconscious.

"Tyler" a worried Caroline called out, quickly rushing over to her boyfriend, while Lily ran over to the coffin Klaus was in and opened it.

"Come on Klaus" Lily whispered, looking down at the still unconscious hybrid, "Come back".

"Bonnie, what are you doing?" a confused Jeremy asked, wondering why was Bonnie still chanting, "Bonnie, it worked, stop".

Bonnie opened her eyes, her hands stuck infront of her, "What's happening?" a panicked Bonnie asked, seeing her Grams holding on to her hands, "Let me go".

"I can't" the ghost of Sheila Bennett said, equally as confused.

"Let me go" Bonnie demanded.

"Bonnie, what's happening?" a confused Caroline asked, as Lily also looked at the Bennett witch, wondering what went wrong this time.

Suddenly black veins started travelling down Bonnie's arms and over on to her Grams, "Why can't I let go?" a panicked Bonnie asked.

"Bonnie, stop the spell!" Jeremy said.

"You made your choice" the ghost of Sheila said, "Now they're taking it out on me".

"I'm sorry, Grams" Bonnie cried, seeing her Grams yell in pain, "You can't do this, please, don't do this to her!".

"Bonnie, stop!" Caroline yelled.

"No! No! Oh, my god!" Bonnie sobbed, her Grams disappearing and her falling to the ground, "What have I done? What did I do?".

Jeremy quickly kneeled infront of his girlfriend, "You're okay, you're okay".

"What did I do? What did I do?" a guilty Bonnie cried.

Klaus entered the Mikaelson's living room and immediately a smile formed on his face seeing Lily sitting infront of the fire place, waiting for him.

"I informed Elijah you won't be leaving town with him now" Klaus informed, announcing his presence to the werewolf.

Lily looked towards the original hybrid and gave him a small smile, "Thank you".

"No problem, little luna" Klaus said, taking a seat next to Lily.

"Good to see you back in our original body" Lily said.

Klaus chuckled, "Trust me, it feels good to be back", Klaus looked at Lily, a curious expression on his face, "May I ask you a question?".

"You don't have to ask for my permission Klaus, just ask" Lily assured.

"Were you really going to leave town with my brother?" Klaus asked.

Lily sighed, "I thought you were dead, I thought I had nothing left in this town for me".

"And now that I'm alive?" Klaus asked.

Lily looked at Klaus, "Now I have you".

Klaus smiled at the Forbes werewolf, "I heard you" he whispered, making Lily look at him in confusion, "Right before the spell, I heard what you said".

Lily's eyes went wide in shock, realising what Klaus had heard, "Oh".

"Did you mean it?" a slightly afraid Klaus asked.

"I wouldn't have said it if I didn't" Lily replied, "And you don't have to say anything, I totally understand if you don't--".

Before Lily could complete her sentence Klaus interrupted her by placing his lips on to hers.

"I do" Klaus whispered against Lily's lips, "I do love you Lily Forbes, so much that at times it even surprises me".

A huge smiled formed on Lily's face, "I love you too" she whispered, before pulling Klaus into another heated kiss.

After their confession and a few heated make outs, Lily went outside to call her mom and inform her that she was okay, while Klaus stood in the living room very carefully placing them Elena's blood in a ice case, now that Elena was a vampire thanks to his sister, he knew he had to take extra care of the few bags of her blood he had left,

"How dare you not save me?!" a furious Rebekah asked, storming into the living room where her brother stood.

"Hello, brother, I thought you were dead, so pleased you're not" Klaus said sarcastically.

"You left me" Rebekah snapped.

"I only had time to save one of you, and you can't be killed, and before you go on about me saving Caroline, I didn't save her, that was all Lily" Klaus defended, "Rest assured, I had a worse day than you, I think it's for us to move on, find some more werewolves".

"So you could create your hybrid family?" a teary eyed Rebekah asked, "You don't know anything about family".

"Well, I know how easily they can be silenced with a dagger" Klaus threatened, a furious Rebekah grabbed one of the blood bags with Elena's blood in it and threw it on to the wall, "No!", an even more furious Klaus turned and faced his sister, realising she was holding the last two blood bags in her hands, "Drop them" he warned.

"I mourned you" Rebekah cried, "My heart broke thinking I'd never see you again".

"Put the blood down Rebekah, there's a good girl" Klaus said.

"Lily just came into your life" Rebekah reminded, "It's always been me, not Finn, not Elijah, not Kol, me, I loved you through everything and you didn't even care".

"Drop it!" a frustrated and angry Klaus yelled, his patience running out.

"You want your family?" Rebekah asked, "Here's your family", Rebekah bursted the bags with Elena's blood in it, causing all the blood to drip to the floor.

Klaus speeded over to his sister and held her in a choke hold, "Do you know something Rebekah, you're right, I don't care, from this moment on, you're not my family, you're not my sister, you are nothing".

After speaking with her mom, Lily came back to the living room and was shocked seeing the scene infront of her, "Klaus! What the hell are you doing?!".

Klaus looked at Lily, then back at his sister, after a moment he finally shoved Rebekah away from him.

With tears streaming down her face Rebekah looked at Klaus, then at Lily, "The last time I told you this, I didn't mean it, but this time I do Lily, get out of here before he ruins you like he ruins everything else he touches".

A furious and emotional Rebekah stormed out of the room, leaving Klaus and Lily alone, her words having affected both of them, Klaus wondering if he really was going to end up ruining Lily, and Lily wondering if she had the strength to stop herself from being ruined.
