15. The House Guest

Lily paced back and forth in her room, her phone attached to her ear while she tried to get Elijah on the phone.

"Elijah, it's been days since I've been trying to get in touch with you and it's been days since you've met with me, what is the point of you giving me your number if you're not going to answer me?" a frustrated Lily asked, "Look I need to know what you're planning with Klaus, is Elena dying? Am I dying? You need to pick your damn phone up and answer my many questions otherwise I swear to god I'm going to lose my mind".

After leaving Elijah the voicemail, a frustrated Lily sat on her bed and stared at her phone.

"Are you okay?" Lily wondered out loud, staring at Elijah's contact, "Please be okay".

After hearing from her sister that a band was playing live on the grill, Lily made herself over to the grill where she met up with her sister and her friends.

"Hey" Lily greeted over the loud music.

"You made it" a excited Caroline said, hugging her sister.

"What's with the excitement?" a confused Lily asked, lightly patting her sister's shoulder.

"I'm happy that you finally decided to come out of your cave" Caroline said, breaking the hug.

"It's not a cave, it's my room" Lily retorted.

"Same thing" Caroline stated.

"Is not" Lily argued.

"Is too" Caroline argued back as the two sisters started to step closer to the band, in doing so Caroline ended up bumping into Matt, causing a smile to form on her face, "Hey Matt" she greeted, but he ignored her and simply walked away.

"Dickhead" Lily said, glaring at Matt, she then looked at her sister, "You seriously love that?".

"Lily" Caroline warned.

Lily rolled her eyes, "Yeah okay, no being mean today, got it, now excuse me, I'm going to go get drunk".

"They're not going to serve you" Caroline said.

Lily looked at her sister and gave her a wink, "Trust me, they are" she said, walking over to the bar.

Lily sat on the bar, managed to get shots from the bartender and after watching her sister sing for Matt, Lily started downing the shot one by one.

"Lily".

Lily turned around after hearing her name being called out, only to come face to face with Dr. Jonas Martin, the witch working with Elijah.

"Dr. Martin" Lily greeted.

"You need to come with me" Jonas told Lily.

Lily looked at Jonas in confusion, "And why's that?" she asked, "Did Elijah sent you?".

"Your friends have daggered Elijah and they killed my son" a furious Jonas informed, "So now you must come with me".

"Wait, what do you mean my friend daggered Elijah?" Lily asked, not knowing what was going on.

"They killed Elijah and they killed Luka" Jonas said, "And my only shot at getting my daughter back is if I have you".

Lily suddenly glared at Jonas, she stepped off to the barstool and turned to him, "I'm sorry about your son's death, but I am not going to just hand myself over to you so then you can give me to Klaus".

"I'll be doing you a favor Lily" Jonas snapped, "Your fate is tied with Klaus and his family, whether you like it or not, just come with me and we both can get what we want".

"I don't want anything" Lily snapped back, "I'm perfectly happy with my life, so you can leave".

"Are you?" Jonas challenged.

"Am I what?" Lily asked.

"Are you happy here or are you just pretending?" Jonas asked, giving Lily a knowing look, "We both know you don't belong here with these people Lily".

"You don't get to tell me where I belong and where I don't" Lily snapped.

Jonas let out a frustrated sigh, "I tried doing this the easy way Lily, but you leave me no choice" he said.

Lily looked at Jonas in confusion, not knowing what he was going to do when suddenly the bar next to her caught on fire, causing Lily to stumble back in shock, suddenly all the lights around her started bursting.

Jonas looked at Lily, "Are you coming or not?" he asked one last time, as everyone around him stated running in a panic.

Lily glared at Jonas, her eyes glowing yellow, "I am not a bargaining tool Jonas" she stated.

"Very well then" Jonas said, taking one step towards Lily.

"Dr. Martin!" Elena yelled, running over to the duo with Stefan, "I'm so sorry about Luka, we never wanted that to happen but at least let us help you get your daughter back".

"Only Elijah could of done that" Jonas said, he then looked at Lily, "And now she will".

"Keep on dreaming" Lily said, as Stefan looked at between her and Jonas in concern, before anyone could stop her, Lily pounced on Jonas causing both of to fall to the floor, with Jonas's head hitting the ground causing him to fall unconscious.

"Lily, come on" Stefan said, helping the werewolf stand, "He's not going to be out too long we need to get you out of here".

"Caroline" Lily whispered, looking at Stefan in concern, "I can't leave without Caroline".

"Caroline's fine, she's with Matt" Stefan assured, "Come on before he wakes up".

Lily nodded her head in understanding and let Stefan usher her out of the Grill.

After dealing with Jonas, Stefan entered Lily's bedroom where he had left her, after telling her not to step out.

Entering Lily's room he saw the Forbes werewolf laying on her back, staring at the ceiling.

"Jonas is dead" Stefan informed, standing at the doorway, "Katherine killed him after he came after Elena, so you're safe now".

"Thanks for telling me about you guys killing Elijah" Lily said, hurt evident in her voice.

Stefan sighed, "Lily--".

Lily sat up and looked at Stefan, "Caroline told you that I defended Elijah, and you guys immediately concluded that I can't be trusted, I get it, but now I want you to leave, I don't want to talk to you or anyone right now".

"Lily, let me explain" Stefan pleaded.

"Jonas was right" Lily whispered, "I don't belong here with you guys".

"That's not true" Stefan protested.

"But it is" Lily stated, "I don't even know why I came back to a town that will never trust me".

"I trust you" Stefan quickly said.

Lily looked at Stefan, "But I don't trust you, not anymore, so leave".

"Lily--".

"I said leave, Stefan!" Lily yelled, "I'm tried of the lies and secrets, I'm done, I don't want anything to do with you or anyone else, all of you can go to hell with your secrets".

"I never wanted to hurt you" Stefan whispered, feeling extremely guilty.

Lily stood up from her bed, "But you did, I'm not hurt because you hid the fact that you daggered Elijah, I'm hurt because you don't trust me".

Before Stefan could defend himself, Lily slammed the door on his face, done with all the excuses.

Lily then laid on her bed, this time on her stomach, feel tears welling in her eyes, she wasn't crying because of Elijah, she was crying because despite being surrounded by people, Lily has never felt so lonely.

Greta entered the room Klaus was in, only to see him busy painting a pair of eyes.

"Whose eyes is that?" Greta asked, slightly confused.

"The women you are failing to find" Klaus informed.

"You saw Lily's face?" a slightly shocked Greta asked.

"I saw her eyes" Klaus clarified, he then looked at Greta, "Did you manage to find her?".

"I can't find Lily, but I did manage to find your brother, looks like the witches who were blocking me from locating him, stopped protecting him, so I was able to locate him" Greta informed.

Klaus looked at Greta, "Where is he?" he asked, knowing wherever Elijah was, that is where he will find the girls tormenting his dreams.

"Mystic Falls" Greta informed.

"You and Maddox need to pack your bags, we're going to Mystic Falls" Klaus stated, turning back to the pair of eyes he was painting, realising the time had come when they were going to come face to face.
