08. We'll Always Have Bourbon Street

The sun shinning on her face broke Lily out of her very peaceful, she let out a small groan and slowly opened her eyes, after letting out a little stretch, Lily slowly sat up on the bed and looked around in confusion, wondering where did Klaus go, cause last she remembered was ending the night yesterday in his arms.

Suddenly Lily heard a noise coming from the Mikaelson's kitchen, a confused Lily grabbed Klaus's discarded shirt from the floor and after wearing it, when to check who was in the kitchen, once she arrived at the kitchen, she leaned against the doorway with a smile forming on her face when she realised it was a shirtless Klaus making breakfast.

"This is one hell of a sight" Lily teased her boyfriend.

Klaus turned and a smile formed on his face seeing Lily, "You're up early".

Lily walked over to Klaus and back hugged him, her arms going around his waist while she placed a kiss on his arm, "You left me".

"I'm making us breakfast" Klaus defended, turning around to face Lily, he wrapped his arms around her waist and then lifted her up and sat her down on the kitchen counter.

"You can cook?" an impressed Lily asked.

"I'm a thousand year old, little luna" Klaus reminded, standing inbetween Lily's legs, "It'll be insulting if I couldn't cook".

Lily chuckled, "That is true" she said.

Klaus stared at Lily for a moment, he then placed a hand on his cheek and pulled her into a slow but passionate kiss, once they broke out, Klaus used his thumb to caress Lily's cheek, "Has anyone ever told you that you are breathtaking, Laya?".

Lily smiled at Klaus, "No".

"Well, you are" Klaus whispered against Lily's lips, his hand caressing her thigh.

"You're not complimenting me just to get into my pants, are you?" Lily teased, as Klaus used his other hand to start unbuttoning his shirt that Lily was wearing.

"No, I'm complimenting you because I'm fascinated by you" Klaus retorted, as his shirt fell of Lily's shoulders, for a moment Klaus just stared at Lily, taking her in.

"Well, are you going to do something?" Lily asked.

"Let me take you in, Lily" Klaus said, placing his hand on the back of Lily's neck.

"You have forever to take me in, Klaus" Lily whispered.

Klaus smiled hearing Lily's words, he then closed the small gap between their lips, the breakfast he was cooking long forgotten, Klaus and Lily were too consumed by each other to think about anything else.

Professor Shane entered his office where Hayley was waiting for him.

"You ever hear of a text message? Maybe just give a guy a heads-up" Shane told Hayley.

"Adrian finished breaking the sire bond, you have your twelve hybrids" Hayley informed, "Now where are my parents?".

Shane sighed, "They're dead" he revealed.

"You lied to me?" an emotional Hayley asked.

"No, I didn't lie to you" Shane defended, pulling out a USB stick from his back pocket, "I said I'd tell you where to find them, this is everything you ever wanted to know, including where they're buried".

"You just picked a fight with a werewolf, you know that, right?" a furious Hayley said, snatching the USB from Shane's hand.

"Easy, killer, all right?" Shane said, putting his hands up in surrender, "I'm not declaring war here, and you know just because they're dead doesn't mean you can't see them again".

"What?" a confused Hayley asked.

"Oh, this is far from over, Hayley" Shane informed, "We are the beginning, however, if are still angry with me, I have some information that might help reduce that anger of yours, there is someone in this town who was also born into the same pack as you".

"Who?" an eager Hayley asked.

"Lily Forbes" Shane revealed, making Hayley's eyes go wide in shock, "She was born into the same pack as you and also suffered the same fate as you did, her parents were the alpha and luna of the pack your parents were part of, when the intruders attacked the pack, they didn't just kill your parents, they also killed hers, only difference is, Lily was lucky enough to be adopted by Sheriff Elizabeth Forbes, she didn't have to suffer in foster care like you did, but just like you, all her life she only had one question, what happened to her biological parents, you finally have the answers to the question Lily has been asking her entire life, so I didn't lie to Hayley, yes your parents might be dead, but you do have family, because aren't werewolves from the same pack considered family? If you want more answers about your family, then team up with Lily, only then will both of you get the answers to the questions that have bothered you both your entire life".

After Shane stopped talking, Hayley stood there in shock, her and Lily didn't get along, Lily hated her and Hayley wasn't a huge fan of the Forbes werewolf either, so how the hell will Hayley supposed to get Lily to help her find more about where both of them came from.

After spending her entire day with Klaus, Lily finally went home when a distressed Stefan called her and informed her about Elena being sired to Damon.

"And now it all makes sense why Klaus was so amused with Damon and Elena's weird relationship with each other" Lily mumbled, sitting in her living room with Stefan, "And are you seriously feeling sorry for Damon? Because I assure you, he sure as hell didn't feel sorry for you when Elena broke up with you, for him".

"Look, there's no other way to break a vampire sire bond" Stefan clarified, him and Damon having gone to New Orleans to figure out how to break a vampire sire bond, "As much as you and I both hate it, Damon does love Elena, now he has to completely let her go, I mean, imagine having to do that".

Lily sighed, "Do you really think that Damon's going to do the right thing?".

"He'll do it, he's not as bad as he wants you to think" Stefan assured, "He'll do what he needs to do, he told me he would".

"How do you have so much trust in him?" Lily wondered.

"Because I think he loves her as much as I do" Stefan admitted, "He can't be selfish with her, not anymore".

"But sometimes you can't help but be selfish in love" Lily whispered, making Stefan look at her, "Love is a very powerful emotion Stefan, I didn't realise it before but I do now, love can make us do the stupidest things, it can make us very selfish".

"Has Klaus's love made you selfish?" Stefan wondered.

"Honestly?" Lily asked, "A little bit".

Stefan sighed, "He'll do it Lily, I know he will".

"I sure hope so" Lily whispered, really hoping Damon doesn't break Stefan's trust.
