~(Y/n)'s POV~

"I'm... Not dead?" I look around in confusion and see I'm on a floating island. It was peaceful and quiet. For some odd reason, I felt that wasn't a good thing. I stood up and walked around. No one was here and clouds passed by. "How? I fell into the Bottomless Canyon. Where am I?" I start to freak out and run around to make sense of this place. The floating island was smaller than I thought and I ran out of ground to run over. I crashed to my knees and stared over the edge of the island.

"There's no way out..." I sigh in defeat. I hug my knees and rest my head on them. "I want to go home," I cry. Tears kept running down my cheek as I thought of everyone back home. "Laslow... I miss you..."

~3rd Person POV (with Laslow)~

Laslow stares at the spot where (Y/n) once stood. He was too shocked to even say anything. Hans was laughing like a maniac as he threw his ax over his shoulder. "My job is done here," he said. Laslow snapped out of his shocked state and couldn't contain his anger. He found the quickest way to Hans and attacked with all of his strength.

"Why?!" Laslow shouts. "I'm only following the King's orders!" Hans yelled back. "(Y/n) did nothing wrong! She was an innocent girl who followed the King's orders!" Laslow screams. "King Garon only gets rid of those who prove to be a threat to him," Hans said. This made Laslow more angry and he was able to cut Hans down. "You took her away from me!" Laslow pointed his sword at Hans' throat. Without a weapon, Hans backed away and crawled on the ground.

"Laslow, stop!" Corrin arrived just before Laslow could kill the man. "Lord Corrin..." Laslow mutters. Elise, Camilla, Xander, Leo, Azura, and Peri followed behind Corrin. "What happened here?" Xander asked sternly. He immediately glared at Hans. "Just following the King's orders," Hans defends. "Which were?" Leo steps in. Hans looked at all the people who stood before him and then smirked. "Kill (Y/n)."

Everyone gasped except for Laslow. His grip tightened around his blade. "No..." Elise fell to her knees and began crying. Camilla comforted her and hugged her tightly. Leo pulled out a dark tome and was about to attack Hans. "Leo, no," Xander commanded. "Why?! He killed (Y/n)!" Leo yelled back. "Where is her body?" Peri asked. Hans pointed to the abyss below them. Elise began crying harder along with Camilla shedding tears along with her sister. "If I may?" Azura stepped up. Everyone looked at her with confusion. "What is it, Azura?" Corrin asked. "What if I said (Y/n) was alive and well?" She asked. "What do you mean?" Xander asked.

"If she fell into the Canyon, I can bring her back," Azura said. Laslow dropped his sword and stared at Azura. "You... You can bring her back?" Azura nodded and smiled at him. "You all must trust me," she said. Everyone nodded and let Azura do what she must. "Please, head back to the lake outside of Nohr. I shall bring (Y/n) back safely, I promise." Laslow nodded and went back to Nohr with everyone except for Azura. She said she must do her part in the Bottomless Canyon. Xander reported  Hans to King Garon and he acted like he gave no such order. Xander knew otherwise and told them (Y/n) was killed.

Laslow waited at the lake for (Y/n) to return safely to him. He was joined by Corrin, Elise, Leo, and Camilla. They stared at the water's surface and waited for their friends to return to them.

~(Y/n)'s POV~

I couldn't stop crying. I felt like jumping off the edge and just ending my life. I was considering other options when I heard Azura behind me. "A-Azura..." I mutter her name softly. She smiles at me and gives me a warm hug. We stayed like that for minutes until Azura broke the hug. "I'm here to take you home, (Y/n)." I was shocked and couldn't comprehend her words.

"W-what? You can take us back home?" I ask. She nodded to confirm. "Everyone misses you dearly, especially Laslow. He was determined to get you back. He was afraid he lost you forever. Are you ready to head back?" She asked. I nodded quickly and she grabbed my hand. "You might want to hold your breath," she smiled. "Okay," I said. We were surrounded by beautiful blue water and I held my breath. My vision was surrounded by rushing water.

The swirling water ceased and I popped my head up for air. I gasped and found myself in the middle of a lake. Azura was by me with a bright smile. "Welcome home," she said. "(Y/n)!" I hear my name and see Laslow standing at the water's edge. "Laslow..." I whisper his name. I quickly swim to him and he helps me out of the lake. He wrapped his arms tightly around me and we crashed to our knees. "Thank the gods, you're safe..." He whispers in my ear. I couldn't contain my tears and they streamed down my cheek. We were both tackled by a weeping Elise.

"You're back!" She chanted happily. "All thanks to Azura. Go hug her for me, will ya?" I whisper in Elise's ear. She nods and tackles Azura in a hug. Laslow and I laugh in unison. We stand up together and I was greeted by Leo. He was smiling at me. "Thank the gods you're back home. You are like a third sister to me, (Y/n). We'd all be devastated if we lost you," he said. "Aw, I love you too, brother." I poke him on the nose and he blushes. Camilla was next and she laced her fingers through my (h/c) hair. "Oh, sweetie. My whole world fell apart when I heard what happened. I would love to squeeze you to death, but I'll save it for later. You need your beauty rest."

"Damn, everybody took what I was going to say. Such a shame," Corrin whined. I laughed and pulled at his cheeks. I formed his mouth into a wide smile. "Wha ar ou iong?" He tried to ask something but I couldn't help but laugh more. "Just smile for me. That's all I need," I say. Corrin's frown turns into a genuine smile. "Go get some rest. I want to see you glowing again." I nod and Corrin tries to pry Elise off of Azura.

"I shall accompany (Y/n) to her room," Laslow said. I could tell from that smile he was thinking of something dirty. I elbow him in the stomach and he grins at me. I sigh and we head to my room. Xander greeted us outside of my door. He welcomed me back and told me I would have to leave the castle tomorrow. The King thinks I'm dead and Xander wishes for me to start a new life. Xander wants Laslow to accompany me in my new life. He quickly accepted and Xander left.

"I. Am. So. Tired..." I flop on my bed and close my eyes. Laslow sits next to me and pets the top of my head. "(Y/n), you need to sleep." He was about to pull away, but I grabbed his hand. "And so do you. You have dark circles under your eyes. How about... You spend the night?" I ask. "My my my. Is lady (Y/n) suggesting what I think she is?" He teased. I nodded sheepishly and hide my face with my hands.

"Don't hide such a beautiful face, (Y/n)." Laslow grabbed my hands that were covering my face and entwined our fingers together. He leaned his forehead against mine. "Let us get some rest, my beautiful princess," he whispered sweetly. Laslow lays next to me and I curl up in his arms. He kisses me goodnight and we both fall into a deep sleep.
